    Lately I've been having nightmares

and i'm starting to get a little worried.

They all involve me being alone, and then someone just gets me :(

my mom said if anyone ever tried to, they would make a mistake because i would probably kick the shi- outta them, but i would probably be to scared

and i'm worried that something like this MIGHT actually happen, and idk how to stop the dreams....

    Any suggestions?

    thats what i've been thinking

I talked to one of my school's guidance councler's about it and they told me its where I think i'm so alone in this world, that I want attention, but I'm getting the wrong kind.

I have family, friends, and my boyfriend. I don't feel alone, and yet these dreams still come.

The Guidance Counselor took the words right of my mouth. >:

But anyway, it may mean that getting the wrong type of attention is one of your greatest fears, or that this will happen many times in your life in different ways.

Before you go to sleep, try to think of something other than having these dreams. I often get reoccurring dreams and it helps me to think of something happy before bed or fall asleep while watching television. What you were doing/thinking of before you fall asleep can affect your dreams. So if you don't want to have this dream again, think of skipping through flowers or getting a new haircut -- whatever floats your boat.

    Use Dream Logic for Strength

One thing that really causes nightmares is stress. If you're worried about something, that usually can in turn affect what you'll be experiencing. A project, a relationship, a problem, or even just a slight worry can cause things like this.

And you might think you're alone. That you have no power at all. Feeling helpless, vulnerable, and scared. It's hard to control what you dream. You can't have total control, but you can give yourself some. The whole thinking of a happy place SOMETIMES works. For me personally...let's just say that I wake up extremely early in the morning which has nothing to do with a nightmare...

Anyway, learn to arm yourself. Try thinking using dream logic. In other words, you can imagine what happened vividly while you're awake, right? Well, before you're asleep, imagine a situation where you'd be better able to fight. I don't necessarily mean imagine wielding a huge Keyblade or what-not. Try imagining being surrounded with an impenetrable barrier of light. Imagine it giving you a comfortable warmth starting from the tips of your toes that spreads up your legs, through your torso, relaxing your shoulders, flowing along your arms and through your fingertips, up your neck and finally envelop your head. Imagine the warm, powerful light relax you and giving you strength...

Or you could try the Snow White scenario. Imagine being in a crystal casing, completely safe and protected from everything. Just let yourself relax into a nice, deep, comfortable sleep; nothing will bother you or harm you...

...Okay, I have no idea where those two came from. But I guess when you study this type of stuff, it kinda leaks out in the most awkward places.

Anyway, to summarize: find a happy place, imagine being in an impenetrable cocoon or a shield, let your fears melt away and if you have any problems outside of your dreamscape, try to deal with them first. Then see if the nightmares end. Alright, G'night everybody!
