Don't ever do transparent tags. It creates too much of a separation between the background and stock, such that it looks like you slapped some crappy stock onto a monochromatic background and stopped there.
That looks totally sweet! I love it! The dark effects and the lightning really draws attention to it. And the text is just the right size and font too. Awesome, awesome job.

He's from the .hack//G.U. series which came out for PS2 a couple years ago. Great games and a great character, I'm a big Azure Kite fan, as you can see from my sig and avatar and even my username and usertitle. @LilRice. May I use it? I'll give you credit of course.
Overall, I wouldn't suggest transparent sigs for anyone to do. I like the background, but don't do it that way. It takes away from the actual background and effects. 7/10
