Chain of Memories Axel

after seeing Axel deceive and/or kill alot the Organization members makes me see him differently. He used to be pretty cool to me, but after playing Re: CoM again in English I see that he's kind of a jerk. Also, he was the one led pretty much most of the CO Organization members to die. What's your opinion on him now after playing Re: CoM (if you have played it.)

 

I still like him, but as I borrowed the game from a friend, I didn't get to finish the last level. I still liked him though, it seems like he was only trying to help roxas.

 

...i liked him before...but now...hes just kinda....not as cool as i thought....kinda a jerk, very controling, but i do understand why he did all tha, cause his job was to weed out the traitors

 

That's true, but then he himself became a traitor when he went after Kairi. It just seems a bit strange to me.

 

Congratulations, you just met a-hole Axel. I'm surprised none of you knew of his CoM personality and how much of a b!tch he was, though o.O [main reason why I disagree that Larxene was the sadistic witch in this game]. Then again, if you haven't played it ever, then is understandable. Vexen and Zexion's deaths were worse in the GBA version, however.

But yes, this is a very different version of Axel than you're used to. It's what sprouted from me loving him, to a love/hate relationship. I still think he's sexy, lol xD.

 

ive played the GBA version...but theres something about a voice over to really give a character more depth...

I honestly don't know whether I love Axel or hate him. I used to think he was one of the coolest members of the Org., but after playing Re: CoM I'm not so sure. I don't understand why he killed Vexen (who in no way deserved to die) just so he wouldn't get found out - that's pretty selfish. And although he didn't directly kill Zexion, he was behind it. If those were the only times you would see Axel, then I' would definitely not like. But when you throw KH2 and Roxas into the mix, it just confuses things... Axel was the one who got rid of Marluxia because Marly was a traitor, but he refused to go after Roxas until Xaldin threatened to turn him into a Dusk... but it was also a little selfish that he did go after Roxas to save himself... Oh, I don't know. For now, I'll just say he's in the gray area.

I liked Axel in KH2, but then I found out he killed Zexion, which was bad, then I actually saw it, and I no longer liked him as much. Even though Axel killing Organization members made sense in the story and was done well, I hated to see someone go and ruin the plans of my fave characters X[
Ok, not a good reason. I suppose the worst part about what he did was kill Vexen when he asked for mercy. That totally changed the way I feel about Axel. Then he mercilessly killed Zexion, and things were a lot worse.
I still think Axel's an awesome character, but I'm not happy with what he did and it makes me doubt his personality.

 

I wasn't a huge fangirl of Axel in KH2, but I did sort of like him. In COM though, he is kind of a jerk. He had to do with a lot of the deaths with the organization, and that shows him as a manipulative control freak.

And is it just me, or is his voice a little different in COM than KH2? Seriously, he sounds different to me. Same voice actor, I know. But still, something seems different.

 

I still think he's awesome, though i sgree with you a bit. he's tricked, killed, and betrayed the other members. i think he was trying to help Roxas,though. somehow. he's not really that much of a jerk. Re:CoM, he's a jerk, but not KH2. but be reminded:
That was his old self. now he's cahnged. so i can't say he's always gonna be a jerk, and he always was, even though in the past he's betryed his fellow members. i actually think his betrayal is awesome! xD

 

I haven't really played CoM

So I can't really give a opinion, but Axel sounds like he was trying to help.

Axel was pretty badass and mysterious in (Re: ) CoM.

They turned him into a buttpirate in KH2.

"OMG ROKUSASU-CHAN COME BACK TO ME", etc

 

It seems like Axel went through some major changes when he was a Nobody. I still like Axel regardless...even if he killed two of my other favorite Oragnization XIII members.

Axel is so evil... In the FM cutscene where he's on the clock tower with Roxas eating the popsicle and saying, "This brings me back...", I thought he was referring to how he killed Vexen in Twilight Town...

 

Think about it:
Everyone loved Axel after playing KH2 which is a year after CoM.
During that year Axel got to know Roxas and he softened up
During CoM he just met Roxas, he didn't know him that well yet so he was just another evil Nobody.
Roxas was his best friend, the reason Axel started sliding towards being a good guy

 

I like him much better seeing him as a "killing co-workers" besides, he was only following orders.... He always follows orders... Marluxia and Larxene were traitors... and you all know the order... "Traitors must be eliminated"

 

I played the original CoM, so Re:CoM obviously didn't change my opinion that much, but yeah, CoM changed the way I saw Axel. And I really don't think there was a reason for him killing them. It wasn't for Roxas, I'm sure of that. It's implied that Roxas was in the Organization at that point, but I don't see how the deaths of Vexen and Zexion really helped him, cause those are the two Axel directly caused. So yeah, CoM changed my opinion of Axel. I was mad at him, but you have to admit he was a complete bada** in CoM. ;)

 

He killed Vexen so Marluxia would trust him.
Marluxia said Vexen was a traitor (even tho he tecnically wasn't) but that made it Axel's job to destroy him, so Marluxia would trust him and t hen Axel could get to Marluxia (the real traitor)

When he killed Zexion he said "you found out too much" but what he found out was never revealed

 

I think he had good intentions most of time... I still like him. But I don't really know why he wanted Zexion dead... hmmmmm.

 

I actually like his A-Hole self, made him seem a bit more better than the KH2 Axel we all love. But that's just my opinion, and plus, he did seem a bit more darker than KH2...and he himself was no traitor to himself, only to those around him, he wanted to see Roxas...well, now we get the full story and yeah, I've played GBA: CoM.
