    Short question, why did Axel leave Sora and Marluxia believing he was dead?

    Axel was working as a Double Agent against Marluxia. Beliving Sora to be dead, Axel was most likely going to repost to Xemnas and tell him to illiminate Marly.

    Axel knew that Sora would finish off Marluxia, and he was determined to make sure the surviving Organization members would never hear exactly what happened in Castle Oblivion.
