Okay, I have this new theory I thought up one night while watching TV: (Please note this is just a theory and is not true, so no offense against each other :))

Do you think Axel actually helped Sora go to Organization and destroy them?
He did lead and help Sora to the WTNW, and told him where Kairi was located. Axel didn't fight Sora really like the other members, and he seemed to notice the resemblance between Sora and Roxas.

    Just a theory, not true.
    Any other supporting ideas?

Yea, he kinda did the same thing in CoM. It's difficult to tell whether he acts like this with good intentions... or simply for his own personal amusement.

Axel is someone who can't be read like an open book like other characters in Castle Oblivion. Though in the second game, the gamers could see he wants to do all of this for Roxas. Mainly because he is Roxas' Somebody, Axel will help him maybe even for them to unite.

IMO, Axel did all that because of Roxas, and because Sora is Roxas's somebody.

Well the whole situation in KH2 wasnt in his favor,so he left it to Sora since Sora whooped his a** a few times and knew he was strong :P im kidding, but Axel saw that Sora could stop the Organization instead of Axel...and the whole ''he was the somebody of roxas''thing is another good point

I'm guessing him helping Sora, he thought that it was a way to reunite with Roxas.

    One idea here:

If you looks closely at Roxas and then look back at Sora, you'll notice they have exactly the same facial expressions all the time. That and Axel knew Roxas had something to do with Sora because HE SAW THE KEYBLADE. He knew from experience that Roxas is a Keyblade wielder, and when he saw Sora with a keyblade, well, you get where I'm going here, right? Plus, Sora and Roxas have the same eyes, almost the same hair(Just tweak Roxas's a little bit and you have two Soras), not exactly the same outfit, but that's out of the question.

And actually, I think that he knew Roxas was Sora's memories and decided to help Sora get to not only Kairi and Riku, but to go find Roxas and merge them back together as well, but he died trying to help.

    That's all I got.

Like everybody else, he probably did it for Roxas. When he was fading away he told Sora that he made him feel like he had a heart, like Roxas use to. So, yeah.

Since Axel was a traitor of Org XIII, I think he realized that he would go down unless Sora took out Xemnas first. Then once Axel did the super attack he just kind of went "That may have been a bit much. Sora, go avenge me without meaning to!"

Yes, I believe Axel helped out Sora to deal with the Organization. He made it quite clear in both CoM and in KH2 that he did not like any of them really except for Roxas. Though Axel could be a cold-hearted assassin, he obviously still had a conscience of sorts and didn't like to be used or to bother using others. If he had to play by other people's rules, it seemed he was content to make them pay for it. He knew Sora's capability and that he had grown from his time at the Castle Oblivion, where those who had tried to kill him had failed, to include older members of the Org that were of the original apprentices of Ansem.

By the time Axel met up with Sora, he had done enough soul searching to just say that Sora and Roxas were connected to one another and his plans of separating the two was not going to work and perhaps it was not the right thing to do. He had been cut off of the plan by Riku and then by Saix and it was just not happening. It was at this point he probably figured, being labeled a traitor and all, that it was just not going to happen his way, and at least Roxas was safe within Sora. Also, of course Sora was going there to the Castle Oblivion, and Axel also knew that Riku would be there, or anyone could have that assumption, since he and Riku had talked and such. Of course, he knew Kairi was there too, so rather than have Sora lose out too on friendship, he decided to help him.

Axel really is a wild card so he's hard to figure out exactly what he's up to, and Roxas was a major reason, but once he began to relate that Sora was also of Roxas, his mind changed; especially with the knowledge he really now was labeled a traitor, whereas in CoM he was not, and just did what he was told...and perhaps a bit beyond that. Axel just seems to be one of those people who doesn't care about anything until it hits him that whatever it is happens to be special, and then he doesn't want to lose it.

I agree with your statement. He is very hard to figure out, that's why I had the problem figuring out if this theory could be supported or not.

Like many, I think he was helping Sora because he knew that he was Roxas' Somebody. I think Axel is a good guy, really, because he also helped Sora in CoM.

If you think about it. If you were to put the Orgy XIII as a card deck. Axel would be the Joker. Aka the oddball of the group. He is very manipulative and he controls the "younger" members very well. I think he uses Sora to get his "freedom". Or... On the other note, to take over Orgy XIII for his use... For something. But his plan fails and he passes on....

Or so we think. Remember he "died" in CoM. For all we know he could be linked to Riku. Or... Be Riku's Nobody. Technically Riku lost his heart, but, not to the heartless. (Sorry I can't spell his name. DX) He only "shared" or "loss" his heart to him.

Or... He could be a part of Zack... For all we know.

(Okay I do think about this too much in my freetime. Feel free to shoot me. XD)

No, Riku never lost his Heart. I am not sure how people still believe that but he never lost his heart at all. He also looks -nothing- like Axel. Riku's 'whole' spirit (equaling his mind, soul, heart whatever) was thrown from his body to Darkness; not just his Heart, and he never became a Heartless or lost his heart as in it was divided from him. When Xehanort/Ansem was defeated, Riku's body returned to him. He never lost his Heart at all. He lost his 'body' instead.

I do like the 'Joker' card for Axel though. Very appropriate.

Oh. XD Thank you for explaining that.

But that still leaves Zack... Since I still think that Axel is a mutant of Zack and Reno. >.>
