Can someone tell me how to use gradients please?

And change the text font and colour?

 

To Change your color and go to filter>text>freetype, if you're using GIMP that is.
To change your color go to The GIMP thing and change the colors there.
To use gradients, pick your colors, or go to the gradients dioulouge and pick, and copy visible and paste, then go filters map gradient map.
If you're using PS, it's basically the same thing.

 

I only got the first line... I think...

and uh... pretend I don't know what PS is...

God I suck...

It should be a skinny little thing, like an AIM friend list.

I am a beginner this is my second. Also I progressed with it a little (thanks to TBK for the tips on gradients) and it came out like this.

 

Abit better, just work on the Focal point, there's too much going on.
