Kingdom Hearts II Axel and Xion

I'm sorry if this belongs in the 358/2 days section, but it also kinda belongs here.

In kh2, Axel says that Roxas was the only one he liked. This imply that he was only friends with Roxas and pretty much didn't get along with anyone else in the organization.

However in the new 358/2 days footage, he acted as if he was really upset when Xion tried to run away. Almost as if it would hurt him emotionally should she leave.

I dunno what it means... could they have just made a mistake... or is it that Axel really doesn't care for this new member at all? Or maybe I'm just thinking too much...

 

He sounds like he's just frustrated

 

I want to say he was just angry. He probably just mentioned Roxas because he's known Roxas longer. I just think he's aggravated at Xion. ​

 

Hmmm...I do kind of get the feeling Axel likes her. Maybe he just didn't want to bring her up or something so he acted like she didn't exist.

 

I thought Axel liked Larxene a little.But,maybe he was just pissed off at her.I dunno.

 

I think Axel was mad because he had to fight against Xion, possibly eliminate her from the organization. Plus, it was probably like the millionth time she ran off and Axel and Roxas had to search for her again.... I would be mad too! xD

 

Maybe Roxas liked Xion and Axel had to do something that would of probebly upset roxas if he stoped her.

He didn't wana make Roxas angry ya know?

 

Well, it was obvious that Roxas and Xion were friends, maybe even close friends.
He was probably frustrated that Xion was going to leave the organization, including her friend Roxas.

I know that's probably not right, but I think that's a possibility.

You can tell he's frustrated; I don't really think he was hurt emotionally.

 

This was what I thought of before, and this is what I think so now. I don't understand, to be honest. I mean, in the novels, and everything else, Axel acted like she didn't exist, or that he didn't care for her, and everything was basically centered on Roxas being his only friend, and the one who was important to him. Maybe because Xion wasn't in existence yet. But, not even in the novels, as said, that I'm sure was in the midst of being written when 358/2 Days was at least in planning, there's no other memory of Xion on him. Not a vague mention, nothing.

You would think if they were friends, she would leave a impact, but, no.

Unless is explained in 358/2 Days, and no one remembers her (the cheap cop out for the unneeded retcon), then is contradictory to what Axel himself said and stated. And if they were friends, then is contradictory to what Axel himself said and stated still unless there's a pretty damn good reason. Nomura just really should've kept him out from that dilemma :/. There's no reason why Axel should be there.

Again, unless he just tagged along because Roxas wanted to, and he didn't want to say anything.

 

i think axel's kinda angry. i mean for one thing, he wasn't crying, which we know he can do since he cried when roxas disappeared. maybe xion did something to roxas or axel.
