http://screenrant.com/m-night-shyamalans-the-last-airbender-gets-more-of-its-cast-ross-6103/ Uncle Iroh: Shaun Toub Commander Zhao: Aasif Mandvi Fire Lord Ozai: Cliff Curtis Earthbending Father (Bumi?) : Keong Sim All I gotta say is a couple of things: Firstly, at least they are getting some actual Asian people in the movie. But well, that's not gonna heal much about the kids' cast still being mainly white. But w.e., it's starting to come back together again. The movie will be filmed starting this month somewhere in Greenland.
Didn't you know? It's all really just the dream of a 9-year-old boy. Anyway, I'm not sure on this yet. You can't really tell just by actors/actresses.
It's funny, because his kids love the show, and they got him into it. Now it's like a family thing for him. and he approached Nick with the idea of a live-action film, not the other way around.
Really? That seems oddly nice, I mean, dont usally people try to make it true to its name if they acutally like the show/game? I mean it might fail, but I hope and think it wont.
Everyone keeps saying live action movies suck... I liked the Dragonball movie, and I'll be looking forward to this one.
that's because you really can't do that much with special effects, unlike what you could do in an animated movie.and i know that i am not going to see the dragon ball movie, cause they changed alot of things in it.and i'm happy about the actor change for zuko.
Lord of the Rings was a live-action movie, yet Gollum, appearing in all 3 movies, was completely CG. The last 2 Star Trek movies (not counting the new ones) used entirely CG ships. The Matrix movies had tons of special effects, yet they were all live action (not counting the Animatrix, which I have not seen). They can do SO much with live action special effects, it's not even funny. The thing that will make or break this movie is the cast, the acting, and the story. If they make it too similar to the original, people who have watched the series might not want to see it again, so to speak. If they change too much, loyal fans will get outraged. It's a fine line to walk.
It all depends on the budget they get for the movie. Lord of the Rings special effects are so much better in King compared to Fellowship. I think the bending is going to give them some trouble, water is one of the hardest things to make look real. As long as they get a decent budget for special effects they shouldn't have a problem making some quality bending.
I don't know why, but I have at least a good feeling about this movie so I hope that this feeling doesn't fall short (and of course it comes out horrible XD; ).
