    I have religious friends and conversations involving beliefs are almost always fun for me. Though I wonder if they think of it like you do lol

    D: Striking does not work? NUUUUUUU!

    Maybe, I just don't enjoy them because my friends are very opinionated and they thrust it in your face. I don't mind athiests and I don't mind having civil conversations with them but she is not a civil debator.

    my friend does the same. conversations or debates turn into me being constantly berated with questions, which are followed by condescending remarks and sweeping generalizations that lump all religions and people of all religions into the same group as westboro baptist church. not fun.

    Yeah, I hate that. Just some respect would be nice sometimes right? ;-;

    I'm quite lucky that most people I talk to are more curious than wanting to mock me but that doesn't go for everyone >.<

    Isn't religion a lot of effort? Don't you have to go to church or temple or mosque and pray X number of times a week and deal with a bunch of people and give them money? That's why I could never be religious in all honesty, there are all these commitments that I don't understand the purpose of.

    I am a Theist. I believe that the number of gods which exist is greater than 0. That is the extent of my religious belief and practice.

    You clearly know nothing about how to spell other than what the stereotypical people type...

    You're just being rude.

    I'm an atheist. Almost anti-theist. Almost militant. I'll let you have your faith, as long as you don't use the Bible or whatever book you hold as rules to tell someone what they do is wrong.

    Then what is it actually like? Do you all just walk around knowing that you believe in something?

    Not at all, it's a way of life to me. Sometimes I can't be bothered to go to church but when I go I get to see my friends and I do have a great time. My church also isn't the stereotypical singing from hymn books- it's more like a gospel church xD There are commitments but ultimately they have to be commitments that you want to make otherwise they have little meaning and will just make you miserable, like sex before marriage- some people would find this very difficult but I am happy to commit myself.

    Also, it's not abotu a set number of times you have to pray (not for Christianity anyway, it is for Islam I think) and you don't have to give money you just offer people your kindness and that can be the best thing- it could be through the form of money or donating clothes or your time or your ears. You have to want to though and we are taught that the more you give the more you will get back.

    Wow, long post for the spam zone : D

    you believe what you want, and the extent of what you do with it is your choice. too many people think that because they believe in the deity of a certain religion, they are bound to the all rules of that religion. churches arent necessarily a bad thing, but they have a habit of convincing people to not question what they are being told.

    That's kind of how I imagine it. It sounds awfully troublesome. I really don't like dealing with people. I don't know any of my neighbors and I don't have many friends. The whole thing sounds like a big community project that teaches you that spending your time with people is good.

    I feel like this implies that people don't normally donate to causes or the poor as a matter of course. This listening to people thing still sounds awful.

    You don't need religion to be taught that the more you give the more you will get back :b

    And not to sound rude, but isn't that selfish? If you do good in order to receive good - It's a selfish basis for your goodness. Oh, and this is not directed at you personally, it's the idea that Give, and you shall receive. While I just give to be kind. (This is easily going to become a debate, which is not my intention, I just question, muahahaha)
