Source To be released in 2015. Set in 19th century London. I'll be updating this post soon. Link above contains a lot of info.
As an admitted sucker for Assassin's Creed and steampunk: Dammit, Ubisoft. Can I just sell you my soul already?
No longer called Assassin's Creed Victory. It's now Syndicate. It will be officially revealed May 12th.
I've honestly lost faith in the Assassin's Creed series. I haven't even been able to beat the third one, and have no desire to play the others. Although the setting in London does intrigue me. If they actually put some effort into this game and don't just recycle everything I'll try it out. At least you can't say they haven't been historically accurate.
Hopefully, Ubisoft learned their lesson from AC Unity by not rushing the game too much so that the version that was initially released is so buggy that it makes the game unplayable.
Ubisoft has been under fire for a good bit now. With good reason seeing how terrible Unity jumped out of the start. The Assassin's Creed series has been growing thin on me. The last one I played was AC 4 Black Flag and even then I wasn't really feeling the AC vibe from the game. I'm not sure how I feel pushing the AC games into a more modern theme. So far looking at the trend, once they left the Ezio trilogy, it's been a slow drop. Trust me, I am interested in Syndicate with a new theme to the game, but they really need to pull something good out of this game, not some eye candy you show off at E3 and pull a switch at launch. A lot of fans are faltering in faith, including me, when they make games buggy and rather lackluster. Please don't let this game be another nail in your coffin.
So, after all the complaints from Unity about not being able to play as a female assassin, it seems like we'll be able to do just that this time around. The game will have brother/sister protagonists named Jacob and Evie. According to rumors, both are involved in the criminal underground, the story missions will mostly favor Jacob, we will be able to switch between the two freely between missions, and there will be no multiplayer. Given how far in advance these games are done, it seems unlikely that complaints on Unity are what caused the change. But yay two characters. Though I don't get why multiplayer was taken out. Hope it isn't. The coop missions in Unity were one of the best additions the series has ever had. Evie concept art: [DOUBLEPOST=1431448503][/DOUBLEPOST]Whole bunch of stuff today!
I won't lie. Killing people while wearing a top hat is MIGHTY TEMPTING. Anyways, I'll hold my judgement on this game until further info is released. So far, it shows promise. All we ask for now is a steady launch please. None of that Unity garbage.
It's like you'll be playing Sherlock Holmes...as an Assassin....or the other way around. Sherlock Holmes was the first thing that came to mind when I heard the music lol. And I was afraid there would be really bad English voice acting but it sounds awright to me. Still not excited for it but its nice knowing the voice acting will be decent. I've yet to play Unity but from the way you guys talk about it it's probably best I leave it well along.
