Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Ah good. Another Assassins Creed game. Though, I was predicting a prequel with Altair or another game like Brotherhood or Revelations but with Connar. Jumping it up to IV seems a tad soon. If this thing about the Caribbean is true, then the rumors of it being in Brazil can be put to rest.

Anyway, the idea is good, work on the strengths of the series new naval combat. I could definitely see improvements with the ship, especially going to and from the ship, using it to explore high cliffs from the mast or sunken caves.

But if it wasn't for the fact it's not nearly as original as the Ezio trilogy to AC3, i'd think this was good. Being a numbered title is just... not worth it. And Connor's story, near the end, hinted at creating and helping freedom for slaves, that should be explored in my opinion more than trying to establish a new character already.
They should be establishing a new Modern Day characters whilst keeping with the familiar, such as with Connor.

Idk, i'll wait to the official announcement and details about era and characters before I completely judge.

 

Well it's been confirmed by a Ubisoft employee on Twitter. Assassin's Cree IV: Black Flag. Why the subtitle, I don't know.

More details to be revealed on 4th March.

I'm guessing that there will be multiple ACIV games or something
Considering it's the next big step in the overarching plot, I'm sure they're doing something different

 

I've gotten to the point where a new Ass Creed game doesn't get me excited or hyped. I'll buy it, sure, but I'm not excited about it or anything.

 

Kind of agree. There never really is enough new features to get me hyped. The story is beginning to dwindle too now.

Honestly I'm not that interested of this because this is starting to go against a lot of what Ubisoft said they'd do with the series. They'd pick an era and location that wasn't explored much at all in tv, games, etc. Pirates are nothing new or exciting to me, especially sine we've already been to America in the last game, and even explored the water ways of the Carribean. This is.... wrong for the series. At best explore this in a spin off or a at a later date.

I really need to be persuaded on this one.

I honestly have no idea how to feel about this. AC3 was incredibly disappointing for me. I knew there would be another one, but I was just not sure how I would or even should feel. I'm most likely going to end up buying it, but I really want to know more about this because right now I'm not very happy.

I really love the Assassin's Creed series but right now I'm just kind of shaking my head at this game.

 

Looks interesting. Curious to what more information will reveal about the game.
