Traditional Art Ariel

Alrighty, I drew Ariel from the little mermaid and yes it is the pose from the KH2 cheat book.

Anyways, I know the background could be improved. I was just too lazy to draw anything in the blue areas....am I the only one who thinks I gave her an anime-ish face?

Hmm, not to bad. 6/10

constructive criticism:

1) Her hand, well I think it looks a bit small...Otherwise the hand is quite good.

2) Her arms, looking at them it looks like there is only one part to them, I'm horrible at explaining how to change this so...uhh, ask someone else.

3) Her eyes, they look a bit funny but I'm not sure why :/ also her ears seem a bit high.

Well beside the background being a bit plain(although you already pointed that out) it's good.

 

Yes, the face does look anime-ish, but it looks awesome, as does everything else, especially the tail. I know you could've done better with the background, of course, but otherwise, great job.

 

Yeah that hand always bugged me but no matter what I did it never looked quite right. And I never really noticed that about the arms, but now that you mention it they really do need an elbow to 'seperate them' I gues.

Yeah I hate the eyes to. It's just that I'm so used to drawing anime that I couldn't draw them the way they actually looked. And as for the ears, I thought they didn't fit in proportionally, but I was always afraid they were to low o.0

Thanks! Yeah I know...I have a tendency to be really lazy...and actually I always thought the tail looked the worst.
