The first movie made a lot of money. The sequel will too. Doesn't sound stupid to me. What does sound stupid is how people think the following is a good story: “Worried a member of his vampire family might attack her, Edward abandons Bella and leaves town. Dismayed, she turns to old family friend Jacob for comfort. Jacob turns out to be a werewolf. Without Edward, Bella jumps off a cliff (because the adrenaline gives her a spiritual connection to him), and is rescued from the sea by Jacob. Edward’s vampire “sisterâ€, has a vision of the event, but it doesn’t include the rescue, so, assuming her to be dead, Edward travels to Italy to end his life. He is stopped just in time, but told by the Vampire Order than he must either kill Bella or turn her. It ends with Bella opting to be turned.†What the actual fuck. The part trying to explain jumping off a cliff made me laugh. And Vampire Order? What do they do all day, roleplay as vampires that are actually, you know, cool?
The vampire order sits around and eats people to provide contrast to the "Veggie" vampires of the first book.
Well, since there are 4 books, it was obvious that they were going to make another movie. And probably another... and then another. Deal with it.
