Apparently this is a thing and I didn't even know it.

I gotta say that I'm terrified about this movie. I'm more invested in this movie than any other Marvel movie and... I have no idea what they're doing with it. Wtf is the tone of this movie even going to be? The casting in this movie seems to be complete garbage. And why the hell are there Novas in this movie and why do they look so stupid?

High hopes but low expectations at this point

Yeah, it does seem to be confusing as to what the tone is supposed to be. My guess is that they are aiming for a sci-fi movie that delivers a bigger comedic side than the recent edgy trend.

But of course, this is probably just supposed to be the exposition for Ultron in the next Avengers title.

imo tho, rocket raccoon seems awesome

Not from what I've heard about Ultron and knowing the credit scene of Thor Dark World. I think this will be set-up for Avengers 3 or the next big movie after Ultron (i. e. Thanos).

The reason I'm confused is because of the actors they're casting and the movies they're normally in. It doesn't make any sense, and even if they are going for a light-hearted scifi movie, why cast all of these big-name actors who are known for being in comedies or action movies? Why not get relative no-names and then do it light-heartedly? I'm going to try to reserve as much judgment as I can until I see the movie, but right now I'm just like wtf. And it's a little worrying because I've been following this movie for a long time.

I can't wait to see this movie. I love Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel's putting out a lot of movies ( from my perspective) in these next two years.

One thing that I like so far is that apparently when they introduce Star Lord it's going to be around the time he leaves Earth. Then it's skipping to when he's traveling in the universe and doing spacey things. Versus just starting in present time.

I also agree with the actors. There are a lot of big names. Like Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, etc.

    I. Love. Chris Pratt.

I am more of an X-man fanboy than anything and I don't really follow any universe outside of that...but I do enjoy the Marvel phases so I will see this film.

Mostly cause I hope Chris is shirtless in it.

    Yolo.
