Remember. When posting in this thread to not get too personal. Keep locations and names of high schools private. For your saftey, thank you.

I'm having difficulty becuase I don't want to go to a school were everyone is rude and stuff, and I don't want to go to a school if the scores are bad. I also want to go to one where there's a lot of clubs. And so far. Most of them have the 2 last ones. So I'm just worried about choosing the right one, people wise. =/

It really doesn't help that we have till January and this month is going so fast. T_T

Well, at least you don't have some druggie freshmen telling you about the crack he smoked and the Crystal Meth he's taking. I'm like WTF why the hell are you telling me this. Then he says I'm a ***** and that I change people. High school is pretty stupid. I would so love to beat the crap out of him

Freshmen year was decent... sophomore year was a living hell... and this year as a junior, my classes are pretty easy. So far I only regret my GPA last year, but I'm doing pretty good right now. As for the students, yeah... some of them are asses but I'm not the type of person that gets picked on, nor am I "Mr. Popular". I think a lot of people are scared of me personally. xD

    Except my good friends. =D

High school really hasn't been as difficult as I expected it to be. More or less I've just been gliding through. Toughest year so far was Junior year, it started out easy, then out of nowhere it hit me in the face. Dx

Right now I'm a Senior and since my collage applications are all in I wouldn't be surprised if I started sliding soon :3

Word to the wise: Avoid friendship drama at all cost!

I knew from my sister that I'd have more homework than in elementary school, so I stopped doing some of my activities outside of school to make room for homework and the school's extra-curricular stuffses, but now my friend is mad at me for doing that.

High school so far for me is pretty good unlike how some people have said before in the past. My grades are good, it's quite easy. The only class I have a problem with is Gym, which is like the military.

I get along with a lot of people (unlike middle school). There's some people I'd like to smack but I tell myself "Their young, they're still maturing, they'll see the error of what they've done themselves". Plus I hate metal detectors, security guards and people from the other schools (my high school is one out of five high schools in the same building). Some of those people have anger issues.

The only problem with my high school is that it's way too crowded. And some of the school policies I don't agree with. But, nothing I can do about that.

Grades have been pretty good, A's and B's. My history teacher is horrible, but she's leaving in January, so I guess that's getting fixed. I'm in band, and I have a major audition tomorrow that I'm kinda nervous about. And exams also start tomorrow. So, life is gonna start being better on Thursday when it's the last day before Christmas break. But high school just takes a lot more of applying yourself if you want to pass.

Currently, I'm in Freshman year. I'm not exactly thrilled. I think when you're a Freshman, you're intimidated easily by Seniors. Or is that just me? Anyways, I'm not a big fan of it. Everyone in my grade acts like they're in grade 5 and make fun of people. If I hate one thing about my school, it's how judgemental everyone is. I'm picked on about playing Kingdom Hearts, but rarely. And then sometimes how people dress is an issue. Hello? It's called individuality. I honestly think some people need to stop being concerned for other students' wardrobe and hobbies and need to be more worried about themselves. I hate how people talk trash and try to make themselves look cool when really, they're making themselves look stupid.

Basically, I hate High School so far. I have Finals this whole entire week and I'm not too excited for it. And I'm kinda worried about my grades, especially in CP Geometry. That class is confusing. I have two B's, like four A's, and one C which is in Geometry. I really need to step up my game. Not kidding. But thank the Lord that Christmas Break is here Friday. Gahh.

So, High School isn't the best so far. I hope it lightens up soon.

    Okay. My highschool is simple.

You got the preps &or jocks, (about 50%), stoners (about 20%), the gangsters (10% *most coming from my neighbourhood), the geekish people+ people with no clique (10%) and the emo/rockers/other people xD (10%)

Anyways, I think you'll be fine if you just be good. Don't start hanging out the damn druggies.

My first day was pretty scary, but I have my friends with me. I've drifted away from many people, which I hate, but I still talk to them from time to time. The thing thats bad is that I don't like a lot of people in my school. But I haven't been in any fights or anything like that.

I sit next to this guy who once tried to make cocaine. He did meth & shrooms once, and he does cocaine.

Yeah. that scared the shiz out of me. But just hang around your friends. Its already been 4 months, and its been great. It went by so fast.

I'm not in high school yet, but I'm taking high school classes and the only problem I have is the fact that there is a senior in my spanish II class who want to beat the sh!t out of me.

    Heh. Youth.

Geez...You guys think high school's so tough? Try being in college. The moment you graduate from high school, it's going to be the first day of the rest of your life. You'll need to get jobs for income, worry about how much classes are every semester, get a driver's license/permit and drive on the freeway, and, oh yeah, learn to become adults.

If you go to a community college, it'll kinda be like high school, except you won't need to raise your hand for the bathroom anymore and you can determine when your classes are. However, if you go to a university, prepare to be mutilated. The first few months you're attending there will be like freshmen year all over again. You'll be at the bottom of the food chain and any reputations that you might have gained over the high school year will be for naught.

And then there's all the relationships you may or may not have gained over the years. If you're able to keep your friendship bondage tight, then you should be in good shape. However, if you become too complacent, friends will start slipping out of your grip and you won't know it until it's too late. So, keep your friends close, but don't obsess over them.

But anyway, my high school years were a nightmare. I had an extremely difficult time understanding how the transition to college would play out. My counselor's were a total waste of time, because they couldn't help me. My parents were out overseas or working so I had to watch my siblings most of the time. I ended up getting close to this girl during freshmen year, but my ego got in the way and my friendship with her eventually dissolved. I ended up being a loner. A friendly one, but still a loner. The only thing that kept me going was my writing and the hope that it would be widely accepted eventually.

So the moral of the story is: Look at the bigger picture. Everything you do in high school will affect how your life will turn out. Keep your friendships, struggle for at least a 3.0 GPA, and whatever happens, treasure the moments you have. Once you leave, that's it. You won't be able to go back...:sly:

Um, it's more difficult than junior high, I'll tell you that. There's more work and it's a little harder (if you're in honors classes, anyway). If you have Geometry in ninth grade like I do, be prepared and study hard. It's winter break and I still can't believe she gave us nine pages of work to do. Anyway, I don't want to scare you or anything, just be prepared for high school. It takes more responsibility keeping up with all the work.

Well as a senior in high school let me tell you I totally understand High School. Believe me you things are bad now wait till senior year progress' around. It can get a lot worse. I've had a friend ridicudled because of his life style. Big deal his a human being. I just recently disbanded my self from one of my friends because she now throws herself little pity parties and its rather annoying. School can be tough but there are good times to. I always have my "Brother" around to protect me. I've known him since my freshman year and we have been friends ever since. He always finds a way to cheer me up. Believe me we have many inside jokes. I'm the person everyone knows because I have such a big heart. Usually if someone needs someone to just listen I'm always all ears. Or as my friend Zac would puts it I am the "Listening Book". Yes I could made a book out of how many different stories I have heard. I never choose sides its not me. Just always keep the friends around that you know will always be there for you because they are great.
