    Well, it depends on what "today" you're wondering about. Today is the 31st in the UK, where Rowling resides, so we would guess that's the 31st she's talking about. Or, it could mean she's giving the Americas some time to catch up with their 31st.

    Plus, she never said it was going to "offer the chance to enter early" directly at midnight, did she. She only said the 31st; not a specific time.
