Kingdom Hearts Anyone else thought the duel against Riku on Destiny Islands was annoying?

I think everyone realized that the duel against Riku on the Destiny Islands was really irritataing, especially at expert level! He also has those irritating taunts...

 

Actually, the only thing that annoyed me was falling off the island. Other than that, the Riku match to me was the best thing to do to level up, gain tech points and you get a potion at the end. Fighting Riku to get all 99 potions and then racing him for the pretty stones was what made leaving DI easy and I didn't have to restock potions and had no lack of money all the way until Tarzan's world. Also, the techs were better. I thought the taunts were funny as it showed that Riku had actually been teaching him probably for some time.

Fighting someone over and over does get boring though.

 

He was the only guy I battled against to go up in levels. He was annoying, but he was a great source of experiance.

 

The thing I hated most is that Riku never fell off the platform. If he was standing extemely close to the edge and I finished a 3-hit comb, he wouldn't move.

 

I don't like the dual with Riku... the thing that got me mad was when Sora and Riku were keeping score with each other.... *sighs* Do I need to say more?

 

The most annoying thing was falling off the island. It's too small for a fight against him.

 

One of my fav fights and the most annoying thing on it....
That you kill him too quick after some figths other than that,the small Battlefield.

 

I hated the fact that his counter attacks were too strong and he never fell off the platform

 

I loved fighting Riku all those times =]
nothing really bugged me that much so I just picked the last option.
Also, his taunts always cracked me up.
But when he kicked me off the island it was on T__T

 

The kick's got my vote. No gd timing=U R SCREWED. =/

I hated the race a lot more than the fight.

 

Not really, I did however get irritated over the Wakka fight...

 

yeh, the problem is i attack when he attacks, which is slower and weaker than riku's attack. and i get knocked off the small god damn island.

 

I liekd this simple battle. I had to get my level up first by battling Selphie, Tidus and Wakka, and then once I was used to the battle he was no trouble.
I fell off the little area though, and it turned out for me that the battle's size was more dangerous than Riku.

I found the battle against Selphie, Tidus and Wakka all at the same time harder than Riku, and more fun.

 

It was annoying when I kept falling off the little island but the fight was pretty easy to beat, even on expert level. Though I just fought him to bring my level up and it got a little boring fighting him over and over again.

 

omg i got pissed that riku kept kicking my *** then i just threw the control down haha but then i figured out how to beat him in a fun way sorta haha​

 

It was annoying indeed, because of his defense and quick counters.

But IMHO, the battle against Tidus, Selphie and Wakka is much harder. I haven't won a single fight against them.

 

My beef with it is,that you just keep falling off the island,and I really hate those taunts,they egg me on but piss me off.

 

I'd hate whenever I was about to beat him, and then I'd get kicked off the island cuz I was by the edge.

 

His counterattack annoyed me so much. If you get the hang of it, you can sometimes avoid it, but it's still challenging.
