another "I need a girlfriend" thread

I was bored(and im really desperate). all I want is to find a cute girl who will play video games with me. I don't care if we stay in the friend zone I'm just tire of being alone and have no one to love me. I just want a girl that comfort me.

No one needs a girlfriend or needs a boyfriend. They want one. You can play video games with friends. and if you're, "okay if you stay in the friend zone," then you are not seeking a girlfriend; just a friend. The only time you need someone is when you're -- oh god! // coughs // -- choking on leftover fried chicken and need someone to perform the Heimlich maneuver..

Well, it is the basic human instinct to reproduce sexually and to be loved. So, it's kind of a need. Just one that's easily overcome.

 

It sounds to me that you're just seeking a close relationship with someone. I can't speak for the world at large, but for me when I was your age, I had assumed & believed this was just a search for a relationship, that having a girlfriend would magically solve all problems and things would be rad as can be. But then, towards senior year when I had established a really great friend group, I was content with the intimacy of the bonds I had made and realized that it wasn't a relationship that would've fulfilled this need for someone. I just needed someone to be there to laugh with, to goof around and be idiots with.

Point is, right now it's best to forge friendships and take the time to build yourself up to someone who you can be comfortable with and make these meaningful connections with others. Relationships come and go, but a really good bud is someone who'll have your back.

Plus relationships are not all they're cracked up to be. It's not a magic cure all for loneliness, and it's damn well a lot of effort that you might not be expecting/might not be able to handle right now. It'l happen sooner or later, but you should let these things happen to you and not be so hard on yourself for not having one/try to search for one all the time.

And from experience, I have a girlfriend and still feel lonely a lot of the time because she has a life outside of me. So it ISNT a cure for loneliness, that'll still be there.

Sometimes I think I want a boyfriend, and then I remember how annoying the guys that go to my school are, so it's like eh, I'll have fun with you but please don't call me tomorrow.

 

I can understand the want for somebody who cares about you and will spend time with you and game with you, but honestly, it sounds more like you want a cool sibling than a romantic thing.

 

all im saying is that i need someone to have a close relationship with and i want to have a bond with a female. im not saying that i want any girl in the streets, i just want a girl who will keep me company when im bored, someone to play with for sometimes. i don't care if we are friends forever, as long as i don't feel lonely, then that's what i really need.
