http://www.pcauthority.com.au/News/116811,e3-xbox-360-to-get-savetohdd-feature.aspx With the new 60 GB 360 gamers will be able to rip games to their HDD, eliminating the need for mulit-disc. Sweet.
That doesnt really effect Sony much. All their PS3's have been able to do that from the start. And the 360 still needs the game in the drive. The only people this effects are ones that havent gotten a 360 yet or people that will go out and spend another 100 bucks on it. Although this will help quiet down that loud behemoth~
Sony's console could do that from the very beggining, so, that doesn't affect sony in no way. But it's cool that Xbox360 can do that now.
I still think that if someone has both a 360 and a PS3 they would just keep their PS3 for the needs of that. But who knows, maybe someone out there was hoping for something like this....? Never mind, if they were, then they are out of there minds.
you still need to have in the disk in order to prove that you own the game. only good thing I see coming from this, is that the 360 won't sound like a jet taking off every time you play a game. I don't really think this will affect Sony too much. At least not as much as the other things that Microsoft is doing and/or planning on doing.. besides, I only have a 20GB HDD on my 360, I won't be able to fit too much games in there.
This little event may in some obscure way effect Sony, but it's going to be far from fatal. It won't cause people to suddenly buy 360 consoles and I don't see it eating into sales of PS3's seeing as it's a minor feature that probably will go overlooked when determining which to buy.
As everyone else stated...it doesn't do much. Plus, like Pika_power said...you can only receive one fatal blow.
I agree with Pika power... You only get KO'd Once. Not over and over again stimultaneously... And I don't see that Sony's in any sort of deep crisis. And its just a minor blow, btw.
