For all you cyclists out there the US heros including Lance Armstrong and Levi Leipheimer will be on the 8th and final day of the Amgen of California. Ironically it happens to be 10 minutes driving distance from my home to my home town in Escondido where the finishing line will be surrounded with tons of spectactors. This last leg of the race will begin on Sunday February 22 in Ranchero Bernardo, wind up in east Escondido heading towards Palomar Mountain which is 5123 feet the highest elevation in this race. The event will be televised from around the world and if you wish to see it click on the link below, find your country to find out your time zone. That is so awesome and I'm surprised this wasn't posted here before. How legendary and this defintely puts Southern California on the map. Who would think Lance Armstrong be here in Escondido? Wow I'm so amazed and it seems sureal.
*cheers and shouts USA USA!* Levi Leipheimer has won the whole race over nine days of cycling from Sacramento to the finishing line of Escondido,my home town. This will forever be remembered in history. Alone there were well over 4 million spectators cheering the cyclists on and that is the largest crowd in US histroy for this kind of event! Well done USA!
