Kingdom Hearts Am I the Only One?

lol this sounds so funny to me now. When I first got Kingdom Hearts I never knew you were able to change your keyblade! I was in Hollow Bastion and my friend was sleeping over and watching my play it. She realized I was dying alot and she finally said "uh, maybe you should change your keyblade..." I was like I can do that!! How!!! She showed me and I was like dumbfounded!! I've been using the Kingdom Key this whole time not knowing I could get stronger better keyblades?!

Personally I think I did a pretty good job of getting that far with just the kingdom key :). So before you guys actually got into Kingdom Hearts did you do the same mistake I did?

And it was actually an accident that I switched the Keyblade. I meant to switch out new potions, but then realized I was in the Weapons section and thought that I had screwed the game up xD

 

Same, but I realized it after my second or third new Keyblade.

I was just like..."If this is also FF...shouldn't I have new weapons?"

 

I diudthati kh1...I found out you could switch in the end...While I was fighting ansem a few times of dying and i noticed...I felt so stupid EDIT: Wait technically I did change to the wooden sword if that counts?

my friend was like "Oh jeez" and was like you need this to live! (this was when after i lost to riku in the castle entrance at hollow bastion.)

 

I had no problems with my equipment fortunately xD

 

I changed the Kingdom Key as soon as i got the one from Alice. I mean, it's not that difficult to tell that you can change a weapon, you even get a message or whatever that you got this or that keychain.

 

You're definitely not the only one, I got to the second Demyx and got stuck. So I asked a friend to help me, and he asks me "Okay, what Keyblade have you equipped?" to which I answered "The one you get at the start, duh :lolface:".
So my friend did an epic facepalm, deemed me a lost case, and we forgot about the whole thing.
Months later, I started re-playing the game, actually taking my time with it (in stead of just running through it like I normally do), and I start noticing things called 'Abilities' and 'Equipments' in the start menu. And I finally started to understand what my friend meant, and had absolutely no problems getting through the game after that.

 

I started the KH series with KH2 back in '07 or '08, and I didn't realize you could change your weapon until I kept dying with Demyx -_____________-

 

Well....:lolface: :/8D: I did. ;-; I changed it when I fought against the idiots in Tarzan's world. :why?:

 

Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait . To the people who say they didn't realize that you could change your keyblade untill (Insert KHII part of game here): did you play all of KHII with the kingdom key before this or did you start with KHII and then realize you could change weapons. And to all the people who realized after ages in either game: had you played a RPG before you played a KH game?

Anyways, I played most of KH1 with the kingdom key, then I noticed that I could change it =.=lllll So everyone else, you're not alone.

 

I did that :p The first time I changed my keyblade was in Hollow Bastion in the second fight with Riku (horrible fight when your under leveled). It's amazing how much of a difference it makes :p

I did not know that, Kingdom Hearts was my first RPG. Along with the keychains, I was not aware of the abilities.

 

Shockingly enough, I caught on around Agrabah. I always hated the keys though so I'd stick with the Kingdom Key. I didn't know about abilities either. My sister turned on Scan once and I thought she had used some sort of cheat code or something.

 

I could change them at once I got the Chance to.

I've Played Plenty of other RPG's Including FFVIII, and something told me that I won't be doing the whole Journey with only one Weapon, I mean The game even has a Tutorial for changing weapons and Abilities, but of course I Played KH2 FIRST than KH1 so that may be why... I was 14 at the time I first Played KH2 u_u

 

When I 1st played Kingdom Hearts 1, I didn't know either until my brother called me an idiot and changed it for me.

I felt pretty dumb that day.

 

No, but i got all the way to the end of the world and i read one of the level up notices and was like, "wait what is Ap?"

 

I somehow knew, I'm entirely sure how, I think it may have been y siblings that I watched and then I was like, "Woah!" and then I switched to the jungle key.

I had the problem with not switching keyblades in KH2 because of the fact that you didn't have the time to switch as soon as you got the chain. After receiving it, it was straight to the gummy ship, so I constantly forgot to switch it.
