    I actually pity Repliku.

    Let me recap:

First off, created as a copy.

He loses repeatedly to Riku while exchanging words.

He is taken to see Larxane, who tells him he is going to have his memory changed, to which he refuses, he is knocked out and changed.

He Fights with Sora repeatedly, loosing.

He goes to kill Sora, and Namine, the one person he "cares" about shatters his heart.

He finds his memories are fake.

He kills a trick Murluxia and stands around giving Sora support.

On Axel's orders, he absorbs Zexion, in hope of an original feeling.

He finally gets killed by Riku in TT, questioning his heart and existance on his death.

    Seems rather sad right?

People pity Roxas for what was done to him, but this is far worse. Roxas had a happy ending. Repliku died in a fake town, by his original's hand.

Repliku is now my favourite character.

Actually yeah, I felt pretty bad for Riku Replica too. That's why I have the nick Repliku here. He got screwed over a lot. Namine never even bothered to say sorry to him for messing him up so bad, but was sure nice to Sora. Rep even saved her life from Marluxia and got nothing of a thank you out of it. She also just stood there as Larxene tossed him to the side, not caring. It really made me not respect Namine much. Fabricated heart or not, it seemed that it was real enough to get him to put himself back together and face things.

Also, I think Sora and Riku were sympathetic to him but everyone else did just devalue him. Sora asked him to go with him, and Riku, even though Riku Replica tried to kill him off, was still kind enough to remain there after all that and speak to him and try to offer him some peace. He was really terrified and all when the Org were going to let Namine mess with him in the first place and tried to fight to keep himself as he was. He didn't have a chance and that's why I believe Axel had him pretty well destroy himself. With the way the others regarded him, Xemnas wasn't going to let him live either and it would become a problem later. Also, it couldn't be assured that the Riku Replica knew nothing that Vexen knew of Roxas etc. He would have become a dangerous wild card.

About the only thing nice that happened to him was Riku and Sora were at least somewhat nice to him in the end and showed they cared. Other than that, his life was really wretched. He had Riku's luck, only 10x worse. Roxas's suffering was not near what Repliku's was.

Ah, I thought I might see you when this topic was made.

    Sympathy from Sora and Riku?

Sora was nice to him at the end, yeah. Riku though, he only really was nice after soul eater had explored Repliku first.

yeah, Namine was fine with assisting sora, but for Repliku it was "not that simple."

Repliku was a hard boss, and it was only after I beat him in R/R that I thought anything different from "thank god, go rot in hell you irritating copy".

Not a bad point there. Though I guess he did have SOME loved near the end of the game...

I wouldn't say that. Sora was nice even though Namine was not and just stood there like 'oh well, when he's gone, Sora's with me!' I really didn't think Namine was so great in CoM. She could have at least apologized to Riku Replica.

Riku also did try to avoid fighting Riku Replica and really was confused by the whole thing. He wasn't having fun fighting him. In the end, he also could have just walked away as Riku Replica was dying but stayed there and offered some consolation, even though it wasn't so much what Repliku wanted to hear. To me, that was pretty sympathetic, especially after someone wanted to kill him for his identity.

I still think just seeing what Namine did and then he just was there with his eyes open and Larxene tossed him aside etc...that was pretty eerie and cold. It's a shame he had to die but I am glad he did rather than suffer the horrible manga ending that was horrible.

I agree completely with this concept, he truly is the most cursed character in KH. Roxas suffered a lot as well, but it was nothing compared to Riku Replica's pain.

    Well said!
*reps* (huh huh, get it? repliku)

Yeah, I did kinda feel bad for him. Although, I might not have felt as much for him if his heart wasn't messed around with by Naminé. He was too cocky and kind of a jerk. :p

Indeed, I feel sorry for Riku Replica as well. He isn't even remembered in any of the CoM fanart I see around image hosting areas.

Care to Link me to the Manga end? (or if that is not possible, explain it?)

I don't happen to have a link but it ends something like Riku Replica does not die. He instead left that battle and fled. Afterwards, he finds Vexen clones and goes off with them somewhere and it made no sense to me and I really hated it. =:/ I'll try to find a link if possible. I actually have the manga and no scanner or else I'd host it to show. Maybe someone else can help out here too.

Noooo!!!! Just because he's fake doesn't mean we should feel sorry for him...
Nobodies don't even exist...... They should have our sympathy.....

Besides, that big, fat jerk killed Zexion!!!!

I don't see any pitty of sadness in his story, thats the life of a false life-form, its like a clone that grows more faster than the original. He grew faster in hatred and sadness, so he has no value.

It was a fate they chose.

Besides, Zexion? He is slightly cool, but he did not have any character development.

Also, nobodies have done too many bad things.

I know Repliku was not the perfect role model, but he did what he did out of confusion. His memories were tampered with because of the Orgy and he ended up never leaving Castle Oblivion, let alone having any happiness.

The Org cannot feel emotions, but Repliku could.

Finally, I wrap up with an Analogy.

Do you feel more sorry for a person being tortured while on anesthetic or a person being tortured without it?
