All earthquakes have aftershocks. They are always a lower magnitude though.

All my friends are posting about it on Facebook, but I didn't feel a thing. And Toronto is farther from the epicenter than I am. WHY AM I LEFT OUT!?

I reside in Kamchatka and felt a constant and incessant shaking. But that is quite expected.

No I know, I mean supposedly we're supposed to feel them.

    Magnitude's registered at 5.9-6.0 now.

I'm an hour north of Toronto, and I didn't feel it. Granted, I was laying on a comfy couch, not touching the floor, and with nothing in the room that could really sway or shake.

    My sister felt it, though.

I liked the one last year. It was fun. It was during my biology exam. The teacher made us sit back down and finish our exam while we saw teachers getting students to walk quickly down the hall and outside.

    Fun.

Yes, there are always primary waves and secondary waves. Depending on the type of calamity, it depends on the speed of the waves.

Every tremor produces different types of seismic waves, which travel through rock with different velocities.

Longitudinal P-waves (shock- or pressure waves)
    Transverse S-waves (both body waves)
Surface Waves— (Rayleigh and Love waves)

I wonder how this happened in Virginia... I know that it's landlocked and there is no plate boundary there. My guess is it was a Rayleigh wave.

Rayleigh waves are a type of surface acoustic wave that travels on solids. They are produced on the Earth by earthquakes, in which case they are also known as "ground roll", or by other sources of seismic energy such as ocean waves an explosion or even a sledgehammer impact. They can also be produced in materials by many mechanisms, including by piezo-electric transducers, and are frequently used in non-destructive testing for detecting defects. When guided in layers they are referred to as Lamb waves, Rayleigh–Lamb waves, or generalized Rayleigh waves.

I'm in Missouri, got nothing here... I just called my family that lives in Eastern Pennsylvania, but they said they didn't feel anything.

I was just thinking that. Anyone gotta masterball?
