I have to say, this game is a must buy. I went to the midnight launch for this game and i am amazed at how good it is considering reviews. This is not one of those crap games with some good points that somehow gets labeled average like TH, this is actually a good game. I've only played two hours as stated in the title, but so far The Force Unleashed seems worth every penny. The plot picked up already which is good to see for once in a game. Usually even in great RPG's like Mass Effect it takes the story a good 5-7 hours to get its ass moving and the action isn't even close to as bad as reviews have said so far (though they were right about boss fights). Hell playing as Vader was more fun than you could have with the force, I mean killing wookies left and right, dropping them off wooden bridges, chopping them with a lightsaber, etc is too awesome. One complaint I'd also like to address is the lightsaber complaint, how it doesn't kill in one hit. I hope I'm not the only one who sees idiocy in that. If lightsabers killed in one hit the game could not be as difficult as it is without them sending many many waves of enemies at you, TH proved why that is bad.

So now I ask, who is going to buy this game? I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few that got it on at midnight from here..

I just picked it up for the 360, one friend got it for the ps3, and another for the wii and we each got as an added bonus recieved a free Stormtrooper Commander action figure.
I've played the demo so much, that i think i've figured out a large quantity of moves, but I'm still freaking pumped to play this game...however, I have a college major meeting in 8 hours....and can't play till 6 pm.

May the force blow your mind

Well I knew that it would be different, but I didn't know the plot would change as well. I thought it was just the controls.

As far as i'm aware, it's just the controls and multiplayer, plus there is another extra level on a planet or somethign for the wii version.

Whatever you guys do, don't waste money on the DS version. The graphics suck and the controls are patchy.

i heard the first few levels were the only time you actually feel like the force is the ultimate weapon....the rest of the game, the enemies develop shields desiged to block your abilities.....

Bought it. LOVE it. I got it on 360, and this game is just as epic as the demo was, and I've only played for about an hour. A must-buy for any Star Wars fan... hell, even for action game fans this is a must-buy. It's so over-the-top it's just awesome.

The game definately interests me and I am tempted to get it, it's just about forking out that much money for a short game, I can't afford to do that, at the moment. A definate rental at least.

Though you said you've only played it for 2 hours. I remember you telling me how awesome Assassin's Creed was when you first started playing it. I was the same way, but then I got further into the game and that awesomeness started to fade, I fear TFU will do the same.

But I am definately considering a purchase though.

Well, I just picked up the Wii version and it's pretty good. The graphics aren't as great as the PS3 version, but that was to be expected. It takes a little bit to get a hang of the fighting controls. You can't just swing wildly and fast, you have to use smooth slow swings in order to do combos. It's a pretty good game so far, I just got past Rom Kota. One of my favorite parts was when I defeated the AT-ST, he crushed it into a ball and it exploded, that was over the top! This game is amazing! I haven't tried the Duel Mode yet, I'm waiting to see if my sister will want to try when she gets home from school. But it seems promising since you can unlock characters for it.

The main reason I hate this time of year is because a ton of great games comes out one after another, and I never have enough money to get them all. Right now it's either I buy this and have to wait longer for Fable, or I save my money and get Fable..

I'm pretty far in the game, and I have to say that it was well worth me spending 60 bucks to get. I'm a huge star wars fan so I have a slight biased when it concerns star wars games, and I will admit that if you are on the fence about this, definitely rent it. It's well worth the week rental if you do.

Oct/Nov = time when i have no money.

I've only played a little bit of this game over at my friends house, but i liked it quite a bit. I'd buy it if i didn't have to save all my money for Fable 2. Maybe i'll be able to make a little extra and at least rent it.

    Gamefly = So worth it.

That way, when lots of great games (like these~) come out, I don't need to spend a whole ton of money. You might think "Oh, but what If I want to play it again in like a year?!".. well then just get it again. >:P

Can't wait though. Games like this one are on the top of my list. :D

I haven't been paying much attention to the gaming world recently, 'cuz I'm broke as hell. I hadn't even heard about this game until about three days ago. My friend (supermegaultraginormous Star Wars fan) was *****ing about how his mom wouldn't buy it for him (birthday was four or five days ago now), and that he was going to have to choose between TFU and Fable II. I might rent this, just 'cuz I haven't played a good Star Wars game in a while.

I watched the X-Play special for this game, and I fell in love with it there. But, like many others, I have no money at all. And plus I am trying to save up for a PSP...maybe I can get someday, or rent it of course.
