Yeah so. Um. Credit goes to Pixiv people. Lots of them. CnC I guess? Also you can use if you want. And I have more versions of a few of them if anyone's interested. Just y'know, don't say they're yours, that's kinda mean. AND I KNOW SOME OF THEM ARE SCREWED UP FDGFDGFDG I'LL FIX IT LATER I PROMISE.

EDIT: Fixed the 7th one. It's not quite the same as before, but I think it's pretty close.

 

Lots of red in here. Some nice text placement in some. Do people in pixiv allow others to use their work?

 

Just popping in to mention that you should probably ask those people if you could have permission to alter their pictures, and definitely NOT allow other people to use those avatars if you didn't even get permission in the first place.

Having people take things you did sucks especially when they alter it and claim it as "HURR ORIGINAL DO NOT STEAL". I should know, I've had tons of idiots try that shit on me.

 

From what I've seen, most of the people on Pixiv are apathetic to what's done to their pics. I've seen various people on Livejournal and other communities makes icons and signatures using pictures from Pixiv or Danbooru and never seen an artist from either site complain about it. It'd also be sorta difficult to ask for permission on Pixiv since most of the users are Japanese and probably don't know English that well. In the end, as long as he isn't claiming the art as his own, I don't see why there would be a problem.

CnC: The color red really seems to fit Claire(considering what he does) and I liked your use of it in these icons. Nice text placement in some of the icons. Although I think that the text that you put in the 7th icon is kinda useless since it can barely been seen and the texture above it makes it even more difficult to read.

 

Yeah, that's what I figured. I mean, if it's a problem I'll definitely take 'em down. I thought most Pixiv artists didn't mind, since I see their stuff everywhere.

Well, I was a little woozy yesterday. But I can properly CnC now. I like the use of red. It's nice. The cuts have nice angles. And sharpening would be nice. I'd personally would experiment with the use of textures a bit more. Also, with the whole sharpening and blurring. Overall, these are nice.

The angles used are nice, the text placement is nice too. Just keep experimenting. Can't rep, but I wanted to xD

 

Well, it looks like everyone else has already given you some what you might have wanted or needed for general criticism, so I will just say that the fourth one is my favorite, and I may be stealing it later, as you have not said otherwise.

Also, on avatars five and six, the blood splatter is too obvious, if you get my meaning. It draws away from the original image, and you have to look at it for a bit to realize that there is a person in there, or that he is the focus, if that was your intention. That might be helped by lowering the opacity of the blood splatters, if they were your own doing, or otherwise helping them to blend well with the original image itself. It might just be that you used the base red color instead of tweaking it more, but it does stand out too much for an avatar, I think. Too bright altogether on almost any background, that shade.

 

I actually didn't do the blood splatters, they're on the original image. But I'll tweak it and see if I can't make them stand out a bit less.

Ah, yeah, that must be why I did not save it when I found it, then. I thought that it looked too familiar to not be in my collection yet...
