My skullcandy headphones are starting to break.

Kudos for lasting that long. Bose is the best approach, but very expensive.

My newest and current pair are V-Moda's. Really nice, and comfy. Not too expensive in my opinion for the stellar quality, and they even come with carrying cases...at least, mine did.

    It's really not.
You just have to stop caring what other people are doing and go your own way. If your preferences and likings happen to coincide than it simply a coincidence.

Don't Skullcandy products have good warranties though? I thought that was their major appeal, aside from the brand name. I know friends that have had theirs replaced on the cheap, if they payed anything at all.

Personally I'm not really into the whole "having good headphones" thing, I rarely use my iPod outside of my car anymore (and in there I hook it up to the car stereo), and for my computer I just use my Turtle Beach headset.

Yeah, their warranties are actually alright. Got a free replacement after one of my earbuds broke.
