So at the SLC Video Games Live concert friday, they were discussing Advent Rising, which apparently was created here in SL. This intrigued me because I had never heard of the game before this moment, so I just wanted to ask, What is Advent Rising, what platform is it for, and is it worth searching for at Gamestop?
Advent Rising is for the 360...I don't know the story but I have heard that it is pretty good. Although it was one of the early 360 games...or was it a late Xbox game....I'm pretty sure it was for the 360.
It is an Xbox game that was meant to be a trilogy but I think cause it was presived well it stopped after the first one. The main characters name was Gideon and he got like some special powers and you had to kill aliens.
It was a fun game in my opinion. A little glitchy, but I got passed that. The story was enjoyable and engaging yet very enigmatic, but it made sense at the time as the next two games of the trilogy would shed some light on what was really going on. Unfortunately all production and plans to continue the series were stopped. Since then no one has picked up the license. To be truthful I'm a little pissed off that no one wants to finish it, especially after such a cliff-hanger ending.
I'm not entirely sure. I traded my copy in before getting a 360. If Halo 2 works on the 360, you should be safe.
It was an xbox+PC game that has NOT been made playable on the 360 yet. The story is awesome and the game itself is fun when you get passed the glitches. It ended in a cliffhanger and will never really get any closure, but yes it's worth looking into if your a PC gamer or have an Xbox(not 360, regular xbox).
Microsoft is updating with backward compatible games once every few months, evenutally it'll make the list I'm guessing.
Having read this more thoroughly, I had forgotten that Tommy Talerico did the soundtrack. That would explain the previously vague reference to the Video Games Live concert that I didn't process earlier.
