Help Ads Disguised as Links

What's up with this? It's pretty deceiving and it took me to a malicious website. I got out safely, but it's pretty hazardous to users.

Don't think that's server-side. I would scan your computer to be safe, it could be malware.

Yeah as far as I'm aware we have no ads of that sort. Definitely scan your computer for malware.

 

Yeah, I've had issues with that kind of malware before. They do tend to target specific browsers so if you can't seem to get rid of it or are just feeling lazy you can switch to a new browser. I can also help walk you through the clean out. Just send me a PM if you want me to.

Off topic, at first I thought you meant that ads are disguising as Link from The Legend of Zelda.

 

Aren't you getting off topic yourself? Anyway--you should do a virus scan and delete all the viruses before they attack your computer.

 

Ok, forgot to mention:

I scanned my computer. apparantly, I had a trojan and it installed a plug-in onto my browser that caused the ads to appear. It's all taken care of. This thread can be locked now.
