The titles speaks for itself. Its really how you view the world. So what do you believe?

That the World is Half-Full, a place where the world is at an extremely broken state just like its counterpart (Half-Empty). In fact it is almost as much as the same hellhole as it was when it was more depressing. However, it can be saved, sort of...

or that its Half-Empty, a world which can basically be summed up as "pessimism has taken over" or "the world cannot be redeemed". A world that is filled with both physical and moral decay.

    So what do you think?

I think that its a World Half-Empty. In fact the world is so horrible taht if you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever.

wow that is a very interesting view on how broken down and degrading the world is becoming, what i believe is that the world is Half-Empty, i just feel that the world is being more broken down everyday and we need to step it up a little bit before we can start o help ou other countries....

I feel that the world is Half-full. Nature is too great for me to think otherwise. The only downside to earth is how humans treat it and interact with it. If we were able to clean up our act a bit more, then I think the world really would be Half-full.

That being said, I also think all evil in the world comes from people. Nature is balanced, every death or destruction has a reason. A wolf doesn't kill something out of spite or hatred. Only people do such things.

I refuse to see in such general absolutes. The world could swing either way in the next few decades. And even if the Earth becomes uninhabitable, for whatever reason, nothing says we have to end with it. Humans are nothing if not survivors.

I mean, with the climate shift hype, I have been told by my geoarchaeology professor (who has done research into this, as the topic comes up in class) that the safe money is not on "will it happen?", it's on "when will it happen?". Most scientists are saying now that the timeline of events is accurate (coastal flooding, drought, hurricanes, etc) is accurate, but the timescale is too small. We have more time than we thought, but not much more.

And with the constant war, can you name an era in history that was completely peaceful? We have been fighting something since the dawn of time, whether it was for our survival as a young race, to dominance over Europe when we met the Neanderthals, to constant skirmishes and religious wars in the ancient historical past, to the Roman wars, to the Dark Ages, to all the more "modern" wars, we have always been a warrior race. World peace will only come when we have multiple worlds, and then, those worlds will fight.

The world/universe will always be messed up. That's a given. What matters is what we can do to stop it from messing up any further.

That is a very good way to look at life, and it is best if you stick with that choice for the rest of your life and you will be happier... :)

    Negative:
I have lost fate in humanity. I think eventually we're all gonna kill each other in some war, or die from a self-afflicted cause.

    Positive:
I have faith in humanity. I believe humans have the capability to overcome any obstacle.

Which one is my opinion? I think the only way this world can be saved is if we all start working together. The only way I think that will happen is when we hit rock bottom. People will start to get the message when the world is in a desperate state.

I think the movie Knowing will have something to say about this subject, it's coming out in a couple of days.

    Half-Empty.

Why: Look at the world. Everday someone sins. Someone is killed. Someone looses their home. You know what? The goverment does not help all those people.

This world has been through a lot of troubled times. Where is the moral?

The world is full of war and political parties, we are a divided people. Divided by race, skin, gender, and everything else. Though who stops all this sinning?

They stop some, but everday a new sin starts and it happens again. This cycle repeats itself. The only thing keeping the world from going empty is the people that stops the sinners and the only thing keeping it from going full is the new sinners that replace the old sinners.

The world is constantly shifting balances. It is half-empty.

The sinners outnumber the good people sometimes, but sometimes it is the other way around. Then the world is half-full.

    So...depends on the day.

This world changes too much to in such a short amount of time to call it either half full, half empty...this world is ever changing, one day it is a nice peaceful place that most people want, while others think that it is an awful awful place.... Us humans belive that we are so perfect that we have finally have taken on the title "Ignorance is bliss" i apologize to those who don't agree with my reasoning....

The world is a terrible and injurious place. And I will sit back and laugh when the government turns on religion. the economy falls. and the end of this stupid system of things comes.

The world is half full, of course. It is a beautiful and bountiful world that we live in, however, that which is not this that fills it is sh*t. The world is filled with a weird mixture of beauty and excrement, and it is called the human race.

    Half full.
But sh*t happens. And we all have to deal with it, though some people think they can just sit back and do nothing about it.

The world is half full, in my belief. In a literal since, it is getting bigger every day with its population, and technical advances.

In the real way you mean it, I believe it is half full as well. Beauty has never been so fulfilled in a way that it just works with everybody. Hopefully you get what I mean. Things is this world, are amazing.

Neither. The world is the world. It cannot be viewed/placed into two different categories based on human perception. I mean seriously, we're just looking at our environments, what we have interpreted from newspapers and all sorts of media, and making a sweeping statement. Its the goddamn world. There are mountains upon mountains of flaws with it, but there are also tons of redeeming qualities about it.
