No Thanks A TWEWY event

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, since it really has no bearing on the forums, but I'm not sure where else to post it, so here goes.

So, a while back, I guess there was an event about Castle Oblivion, where the users had to answer a set number of riddles, and if they won, they got a pin for it. Well, what if we did some kind of event based on The World Ends With You? You know, since Neku from TWEWY appears in KH3D? And if you win, you get a pin that looks like the TWEWY Player Pin, or the Red Skull Pin or something? Just an idea I had.

 

Yeah, that makes sense. (Especially as I know nothing about Final Fantasy.)

 

Actually, I hold in favour for this. It's a good idea Marushi. But I think we should wait until KH3D is out or (hopefully) the announcement of TWEWY2/Prequel to TWEWY.

If this idea is put in motion, I don't mind helping you guys out with some information. ^^

 

I wouldn't mind helping out with some trivia as well.

I think that like Llave said, it would be unfair to the members who don't exactly know the universe of TWEWY although we could try something like it.

For example, we could do three different trivia runs, one for TWEWY, one for FF (probably for anything from VII onward as those are the more well known entries), and one for KH. People could as many of them as they want, and you get pins for how many of them you complete instead of just getting them for each specific category.

It might be a bit complicated, but people who know about the games could contribute. It would be a fun little thing for the community.

Well, back to topic;

Should be really fun making a The World Ends With You/It's a Wonderful World Event, but there are many people here that don't know what the game is, just know that someone named Sakuraba Neku is the protagonist and that he will be in Dream Drop Distance. Nothing more.

 

So we should just make it about Neku in KH3D then? Nothing about TWEWY, just his role in KH3D?

 

I believe so. Will be hard, though.

Its been a long time since I've played but I do agree with this event.
Sadly this is a KH site and TWEWY is kinda forgotten to those who have not played it all the way through or have heard of it. Most sites for TWEWY are out dated too unfortunately :/
I can come up with some questions if this event goes through and I would love to help :D

 

Okay, well. Here's some pointers. Events shouldn't just be made for the sake of making events, specially when winter comes, which is when we have Castle Oblivion, Secret Santa, year end stuff and the like.

So your window of opportunity right now is in November, since planning an event takes time. It doesn't have to be a trivia only, it can be any sort of activity, but it has to be planned with time.

Also, I guess I should mention that tier pins and more than one pin for events is something that is normally avoided. Having two is really rare, and three is only reserved for really strange and unique occasions.

Also, if the activity is bound to be one-shot, there's going to be a pin for that soon. And well, there's also a player pin in the works, but it's for an entirely different purpose. We could give it out in this event -as a sort of promotion- but as I said before, planning is needed.

The problem is that we know very little about KH3D in itself, so we really wouldn't have much material to go on.

If you need any help with planning and the likes, feel free to contact me or any other staff you feel comfortable with. It seems like there's a few people interested in it, so that's a start.
