    I noticed a couple of days ago that Ven is awfully close to 'vän'. Vän stands for friend in Swedish. You think this is a coincidence? Or is it like that on purpose?

    Yes, I think that's a co-insidense.

    It's got something with the latin context of it to do.

    Yeah, I think it's a coincidence as well.

    The generally accepted theory is that it's short for Ventus, which is Latin for wind, to go with Terra, Latin for Earth; and Aqua, Latin for water.

    I liked the idea, myself, but possibly not, though never to sure.

    Yeah, just like Italian:
    Vento (Wind) --> Ven
    Acqua (Water) --> Aqua
    Terra (Earth) --> Terra

    I doubt it was done purposely, but it is a nice coincidence.

    It's interesting, but doubt it.

    It seems like coincidence to me. Van was also the name of an FF XII character. The names of the characters pretty much are of Italian and/or Spanish as they translate direct from them to mean Earth, Wind and Water.

    mostly likely a coincidence - sorry - but i does mean

    air/wind to be relted to Sora which in Japanese means Sky,

    terra meaning earth - related somehow to Riku = in japanese earth

    Aqua = water = Kai (Kairi) water

    Ven, Roxas, Sora

    Roxas is a unique type of nobody; in which he still exhibited signs of still being able to feel emotions such as sadness, regret, anger, etc. True nobodies can fake being able to feel, but the whole thing with Axel, and Roxas' fight With sora in TWTNW... Think about it... And Axel's comment to Sora: "He made me feel like I had a heart..." And Ven looking exactly like Roxas could probably be due to the fact that he is the Dis-Soul if you wlll, of Sora...Or perhaps Sora is Vens' Dis-Soul... I dunno, just thinking outside the box I guess...
