I'm trying not cry which is proven easier given how long it's been. Before I say anything else I want no pity or 'he's watching you in heaven' or 'I'm sorry for you lose' comments. I'm fine; I just felt the need to do this. *Sighs* I can't believe it's been four months. My grandpa died in March and when I came home I realized two things suddenly; he was a lot Luxord in a sense and he was born on Marluxia Day. Yep, he was born on 11/11. He was a good old western man who loved alcohol and cards. When I was seven he taught me to play Texas Hold'em. Though he also had a great sense of humor which showed when the song played at his funeral was Eatin' Gobber Peas. His second favorite song....was Cotton-Eye Joe by Rednex. That's how this came to be. I was surfing YouTube and it popped up in 'suggested'. I then remembered after my one-shot I said I'd do a video/slideshow tribute to him. This...is that tribute. He was a very fun loving man that would go with the flow so I kind of did that here. I did my best to just have fun with it and not get to serious. Back when I did slide shows only I would have skipped the picture at the end...but my grandpa loved country music and I knew he'd get a good laugh at it which is why I had to use it at the end. I don't care what anyone thinks; this is simply for the best grandpa a city going country girl who loves technology could ask for. My one regret is never being able to have a beer with him so here's to you Grandpa J, where ever you are. Edit: I just realized this is my tenth video! Wow. Well, this is a great way to 'celebrate' it if I say so myself.
I don't care what you say. It's always sad when a relative or close friend dies, and I am sorry for your loss. I've been through it myself. I lost my grandfather on 11/22/2010 and my uncle on 12/27/2010. If you ever want to chat, feel free to drop me a VM. Anyway, onto the video. It was very entertaining, and I especially liked the song that was used. You also did an amazing job with getting everyone's lips synchronized with the lyrics. If you ever plan on making more, I look forward to them. :3
Thanks. It does help when you have like twenty cousins to talk to. I'm not joking; I have six aunts and one uncle from this side of the family which has lead to several cousins. More then I can count. But moving back so close to my family and having them stop by while I help my grandma does make things much less painful. But before I ramble... Really, any lip sinking from Luxord was accidental. I was just putting clips with him in it down and was focusing more on his gestures with the music then if it looked like he was saying the words. Marluxia, though, was on purpose. XD I wouldn't normally do that to Marly but...it was because of the 11/11 thing. I had to find a way to get Marly involved with that scary coincidence.
My sincerest condolences, i know how it is to lose a great older family figure. Lost my Great-Grandfather last July, been about a year...(hahaa we call him Big-Poppop ) He was 99, man, he should've waited at least five more months then he would've been 100!! He would joke around and if you asked him, "how're you feeling, Eddy?" he would respond," With my hands." another one, (my personal fav, i use it, for memories sake:)) "Are you alright?!", he'd say,"No, i'm part left too." He would have a great laugh and stick out his dentures and when we were young, we tried too, but could never figure it out... But i really liked the video, perfect song for Luxord. Great Marluxia entrance too:) But once again, My sincerest Condolences...
I am very sorry for your loss.. And I know what its like aswell, both my grandfathers and one of my friends are all,for want of a better word, dead. But the video. I liked the video <3 The song itself is just epic, like really though, and Luxord is great. Oh Luxord...so underappriecaited D: But yes,I like how the whole thing just flows smoothley, and the accidental lip syncing just adds to the whole thing. I look forward to your next work of art <3 <3
