it started a year ago after the battle with jean where wolverin(if that how u spell) might have a chance to lose his power? why do they keep making xmen movies? i know they're famous but why so many?
This one actually just follows Wolverine as opposed to all the X-men. It's titled "TheWolverine" I believe.
I believe there's going to be a new X-men one with the whole team called 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' due to come out in 2014. I think that one is designed to link together First Class and the rest of them and explain some of the problems.
Yup! Based on the classic comic story arc of the same name. It's all here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1877832/
The Wolverine is set after X-Men 3, but it's not exactly a sequel to it, it's more like a half-sequel half-retcon to X-Men 3 and Origins, which I don't think most people have a problem with. There is another movie, Days of Future Past, which will be a direct sequel to First Class (my favorite X-Men movie) and is from my understanding connected to the other X-Men movies as well in that they travel into the future and see the people from the other series of X-Men movies. That's my understanding at least.
There were even more movies planned, but not followed through. An Origins: Magneto was planned, but was incorporated into First Class. A movie for Gambit, I think was planned. A Deadpool movie using the exact Deadpool from Origins: Wolverine (His healing factor healing him but rejecting the other mutations, leaving him horribly disfigured) was also planned, but that's...rebooted with Reynolds or something else. They're also rebooting the Fantastic Four films and the reboot will share continuity with the X-Men films, creating a second Marvel Cinematic Universe (unless Days of Future Past retcons the series into sharing the MCU with the Avenger movies which would be ****ing awesome).
