Okay this is a new story that I have been planning for a few months now.I really wasn't going to post it yet but I decided I would.I'm so far on chapter two and I was going to post until I reach chapter five.But yeah like I said,I decided to post it now.Posting the chapters might take time because yeah I've been getting lazy but in a month I'm starting my Junior Year and I want to concentrate this year.Well anyways,here it is,my new story.Please tell me what you think.And if any,give me tips on how it can come out better.Mostly likely I'm going to change the title.The current one was the best I can come up with.And if you think you have a better title go head and say.I would appreciate it.

Whisper​

Hi, my names Kentaro Matsumoto. I'm a regular 15 year old high school student. Nothing out of the ordinary about me. Like other most 15 year old guys, I worry about girls, video games and other things but that’s not important. My father works at a clinic. He actually owns it ever since my grandfather passed away. I have two twin younger sisters. Amaya is the oldest. She was born 5 minutes before Miyuki. Our mother passed away when they were 7. They can’t remember much of her but a lot of time before they go to bed, I tell them stories about our mother every once in a while. Well anyways, lately I’ve been having these dreams. It’s quiet weird. It’s about some kid that had to go on a journey to save his world. I don’t quite remember the kid’s name but I think he was about my age. He also wielded a katana. And of what I remember, he would go around slaying these weird creatures. Day by day, these dreams have been getting interesting.​

Chapter 1​

Kentaro was in his room, asleep. Minutes passed and his alarm clock rang. Kentaro quickly sat up and rubbed the back of his head.
“Oh man. Another dream.†sighed Kentaro.
He got out of bed and got dressed into his school uniform. Once Kentaro got things together for school, he headed downstairs to eat breakfast.
“Good Morning Kentaro.†greeted Miyuki.
“Hey, morning Miyuki.†said Kentaro, sitting down at the table.
“Morning Kentaro.†said Amaya, eating her breakfast.
“Kentaro you better hurry up and eat, before you’re late for school.†said Miyuki.
“And before Dad comes and tries to ‘train’ you again.†said Amaya.
Kentaro finished his breakfast and left the house.
“See you guys later!†he shouted from outside.
Once Kentaro got to school, he went to his class and met up with his friends.
“Hey Kentaro, good morning.â€
“Hey Rai. How’s it going?†said Kentaro.
“Good Morning Kentaro!†waved a young girl named Roxanne.
“Hey Kentaro.†greeted Roxanne’s best friend, Aria.
Roxanne and Aria were with another friend of Kentaro named Enzo. As the group talked, the class’s teacher, Mrs. Yamazaki, came into the classroom.
“Alright class take your seats.†said Mrs. Yamazaki. “We have a lot to cover today.â€
As Mrs. Yamazaki began the class, a young girl was coming down the hall. She hesitantly entered into the classroom.
“I’m sorry I’m late.†she said.
“It’s ok. Just don’t make a habit out of it. Oh wait you’re the new student. Am I correct?†asked Mrs. Yamazaki.
“Yes.†responded the girl.
“What was your name again?†asked Mrs. Yamazaki.
“Kaori Hitsugaya.†she responded.
“Alright Kaori, you’re on the role. Go head and take that empty seat right next to Kentaro.†said Mrs. Yamazaki, motioning in the direction toward Kentaro.
Kaori nodded and took her seat. Mrs. Yamazaki continued the class.

An hour later the bell rang for lunch. Kaori was getting out of her seat to go to lunch, until Roxanne stopped her.
“Kaori, where are you going?†asked Roxanne.
“Um, to go eat lunch.†responded Kaori.
“Why don’t you eat with us?†suggested Roxanne.
“Uh, ok sure.†said Kaori.
“Great!†said Roxanne happily. “Oh by the way, my name’s Roxanne.â€
“And I’m Aria.†greeted Aria.
Roxanne, Kaori, and Aria left their classroom and went outside. Kentaro, Rai, and Enzo were outside as well. They were going up to two other friends of their’s until Roxanne called them.
“Kentaro, Rai, Enzo, over here!†called Roxanne.
“Hello ladies.†said Enzo.
“Hey, have you guys met Kaori?†asked Roxanne.
“Actually no. I’m Enzo. He’s Rai.†said Enzo.
“Hey.†said Rai.
“And that’s Kentaro.†said Enzo. “By the way, don’t feel offended if Kentaro gives you bad attitude. He does that to everybody.â€
Kentaro walked up to Enzo and hit him on the head.
“Hey, no I don’t. Hey, nice to meet you. Welcome to Alendale High.†he told Kaori.
“O-oh thank you.†said Kaori.
Kentaro turned around and went with his other friends. Rai and Enzo followed him. Kaori was a little puzzled by the way Kentaro acted.
“It’s ok Kaori. Kentaro is always like that.†assured Aria.
“But there can be times where he’s sweet and caring.†included Roxanne.
Roxanne and Aria turned around and continued their lunch. Kaori looked at Kentaro for a while. She then turned around and followed Roxanne and Aria.

School hours passed and the bell finally rang. Roxanne, Aria, and Kaori said bye and headed home. Kentaro, Rai, and Enzo did the same. As Kaori was on her way home, she was passing a group of men. As she passed by them, the group of men began to look at her. Kaori was feeling uncomfortable but she tried her best to ignore them.
“Hey, where are you going, beautiful?†one of the men asked.
Kaori began to walk faster. But then the group of men began to follow her. Kaori turned around while walking, she began to get terrified. When she looked back forward, two men were standing in her way. Kaori stopped walking. She faced all of the men. All of a sudden two of the men grabbed Kaori.
“Oh please! I beg of you, please don’t!†pleaded Kaori.
“Now, now, beautiful, it won’t take long.†said one of the men.
As he got closer to Kaori, someone came running, jumped up, and kicked the man, sending him away from Kaori.
“Now, how can four guys take advantage of an innocent 15 year old?†asked the boy that saved Kaori.
“K-Kentaro....†said Kaori.
“Who the hell are you?†asked one of the men.
“No, the real question is, who the hell do you guys think who you are to try and take advantage of a young girl?†asked Kentaro.
The two men that were holding Kaori, let her go and began to fight with Kentaro. Kaori dropped on the pavement and looked up at Kentaro. Kentaro kicked one man against a wall. And elbowed the other in the face. The last one was behind Kentaro. The man took a knife that was in his jacket. Kaori saw him take out the knife. She got up and jumped on the man’s back.
“No!†shouted Kaori.
Kentaro quickly turned around when he heard Kaori. The man pushed Kaori off his back. She landed on the pavement. Kentaro punched the man in the face then kicked him, sending him to where the first guy Kentaro kicked, was. Kentaro looked at all four men to make sure they were either unconscious or couldn’t get up. He walked up to Kaori and held out his hand to help her up. Kaori had her hand over her head for a moment. She then looked up at Kentaro’s hand then at him.
“Are you ok?†asked Kentaro.
“Yes.†said Kaori, grabbing Kentaro’s hand to get up. “And thank you, so much.â€
“No problem. I wasn’t going to let them take advantage of you.†said Kentaro grabbing his bag and Kaori’s bag as well.
“Do you want me to walk you home?†asked Kentaro.
“O-oh, sure. Thank you.†responded Kaori.
“I really don’t want ou to be alone. They might end up getting up and try something again.†said Kentaro, putting his hands into his pockets.

After a while Kentaro and Kaori finally arrived at Kaori’s house.
“Thank you Kentaro. For walking me home and for saving me today.†said Kaori.
“Again, no problem.†said Kentaro.
Kentaro turned around and began to leave Kaori’s front door.
Thank you, Kentaro. thought Kaori.
Kaori turned around and went inside her house.

Chapter 2​

The next day, Kentaro got to school and went to his class.
“Hey Kentaro, over here!” called Roxanne.
Kentaro looked over at Roxanne and the others. But the one person he noticed was Kaori. She was talking with Aria.
“Hey guys.” greeted Kentaro, walking over to the group.
“Hey Kentaro.” said Rai.
“Hey Kentaro, can Rai and I ask you something in private?” asked Enzo.
“Uh, okay.” said Kentaro.
Kaori and Roxanne went away from the boys to let them talk.
“We’ll let you boys talk.” said Aria walking away.
“What did you guys want to ask me?” asked Kentaro.
“So, you and Kaori, you saved her yesterday.” smirked Enzo.
“W-What, she told you guys?” asked Kentaro.
“Actually no. I saw what happened.” said Enzo.
“And he told me.” said Rai. “But it could be possible that she could tell Roxanne and Aria.”
“And knowing those two, especially Roxanne.” said Enzo.
Before Kentaro can go talk to Kaori, Mrs. Yamazaki came into the classroom.
“Alright, sit down class.” said Mrs. Yamazaki.
Everyone took their seats and Mrs. Yamazaki began the class. While the class was going on, Kentaro wasn’t paying attention. He was thinking of something else.
Why do I have a feeling something is going to change my life today? wondered Kentaro. And what might it be?

An hour later, it was time for lunch. When Kentaro had his chance, he went up to Kaori.
“Hey Kaori, can I talk to you in private?” he asked her.
“Yeah.” said Kaori.
Kentaro took Kaori out side of the classroom so that they can talk in private. Roxanne and Aria looked at each other, smirking.
“What do you want to tell me?” asked Kaori.
“Did you tell Roxanne and Aria that I saved you yesterday?” asked Kentaro.
“No. Why, did you want me to?” asked Kaori.
“Oh no. I just thought you told them, that’s all.” said Kentaro.
Kentaro sighed and lowered his hands, closer to Kaori’s hands. Roxanne and Aria were watching the whole time, with a big grin on their faces. Enzo and Rai were also watching, but they were trying to hold in their laughter. Kentaro was about to say something to Kaori until someone called out Kentaro’s name.
“Kentaro! Hey, over here!” called a young girl.
“Who is that?” asked Kaori.
“Uh, a girl I know.” said Kentaro
“Kentaro, I’ve been looking for you. Where have you been?” asked the girl. “Well that doesn’t matter anymore. I finally found you.”
“Hey Veronica.” said Kentaro.
Veronica looked over at Kaori and gave her a mean look.
“Who’s this, Kentaro?” asked Veronica.
“Uh....this is Kaori. She’s a new student in my class.” answered Kentaro.
“Oh.” said Veronica, looking at Kaori.
“Um, I’ll see you later Kentaro.” said Kaori, walking back inside the classroom.
Roxanne and Aria had their mouths open.
“I can’t believe that Veronica.” said Roxanne.
“I know. She just can’t stand to see Kentaro talking to a girl that’s not her.” said Aria.
Kaori walked up to Roxanne and Aria. Roxanne and Aria acted as if they weren’t listening to Kaori’s conversation.
“So, that girl, she’s a new student in the school or only in your classroom?” asked Veronica.
“She’s new to the school. She came yesterday.” responded Kentaro.
“Oh really.” said Veronica.
“Yeah. I’ll see you later. I gotta go.” said Kentaro, turning around and going back inside the classroom.
As Kentaro walked up to Rai and Enzo, he noticed that they were laughing.
“What’s so funny?” asked Kentaro.
“Okay, answer this, who is hotter, Kaori or Veronica?” asked Enzo.
“What the hell? I’m not going to answer that!” said Kentaro.
“I say Kaori is hotter than Veronica.” said Rai.
“I agree. Veronica is kind of hot. Plus she bothers too much.” said Enzo laughing.
“How in the world did I become friends with you guys?” asked Kentaro.
“Aw come one Kentaro, you know you love us.” chuckled Rai.
Kentaro sighed as Rai and Enzo laughed.

The school hours pasted. Once again Roxanne, Aria and Kaori said their good-byes and headed home. Kentaro, Rai and Enzo did the same. As Kentaro was on his way home, he had the exact same feeling he had before.
Why do I keep on having this feeling? thought Kentaro.
As he continued to walk home, Kentaro looked up and saw something standing on top of a rooftop. It looked like one of those creatures from his dreams.
“W-What is that?” asked Kentaro.
A few people walked by but Kentaro was the only one that was able to see it. He blinked and rubbed his eyes. When he opened his eyes and looked at the same rooftop, the creature was no longer there.
“Where did it go?” wondered Kentaro.
He looked around but didn’t see it. When Kentaro turned back forward, that same creature was jumping towards Kentaro. Kentaro only took a step back. He couldn’t move. He was frozen with fear. As the creature was about to land on top of Kentaro, a young boy, that looked about Kentaro’s age, jumped in the way. He took out a katana that he had on the side of his waist. As he took it out, he slashed at the creature’s face. The creature immediately disintegrated. The young boy closed his eyes and put his katana away. Then in a blink of an eye, he disappeared. Kentaro only stood there, completely clueless. He blinked a few times, then continued his way back home.

Once Kentaro arrived home, he went up to his room and laid down on his bed, thinking about what happened earlier.
Who was that? thought Kentaro. And that creature was from those dreams I’ve been having.
As Kentaro continued to look up at the ceiling, thinking, he saw a shadow moving on he ceiling. Before Kentaro knew it, the boy he saw earlier, appeared in his room. Kentaro sat up and only looked at the boy.
“You’re that kid from earlier.” said Kentaro. “What are you doing here?”
The boy took a few steps forward. He put one hand on the handle of his katana.
“It’s near.” said the boy.
Kentaro got off of his bed and kicked the boy.
“Hey! What the hell is your problem?! You can’t come into other people’s houses!” said Kentaro.
The boy laid on the floor, confused of what just happened to him. He turned his head around and looked at Kentaro.
“D-Did you just kick me?” he asked.
“Well seeing as how a few moments ago you were standing and now you’re on the floor, I’d say yes, I did kick you.” said Kentaro.
The boy stood up and faced Kentaro.
“So you can see me.” said the boy. “Odd, I didn’t sense you before.”
“Of course I can see you! Why wouldn’t I be able to? And what do you mean by you couldn’t sense me before?” asked Kentaro. “Also what was that thing that attacked me earlier?”
“Oh that’s right, you’re that kid that almost got killed by that demon.” said the boy.
“D-Demon?” asked Kentaro. “That thing was a demon?”
“Yes. You were lucky I was there.” the boy said.
“W-What if you weren’t?” Kentaro asked, hesitantly.
“You would have been killed.” the boy answered.
For a moment, there was an awkward silence. Kentaro couldn’t believe he was almost killed by a demon. Let a lone believe that demons are real. The boy looked at Kentaro and sighed. He turned to face the window. He was ready to jump out the window until Kentaro stopped him.
“Wait, who are you?” asked Kentaro.
The boy turned to face Kentaro. He examined Kentaro for a moment, then took a deep breath.
“My name’s Kenji, Kenji Nakamura. And I am a Demon Slayer.” he responded.
“You’re a Demon Slayer?” asked Kentaro.
“Yes. But there are more Demon Slayers. Ones that are much stronger than I am.” explained Kenji.
“What did you mean by that you weren’t able to sense me before?” asked Kentaro.
“Oh that’s right. Well each person contains this energy flow. There are people that have a high energy flow. Those with a high energy flow, can see the demons and Demon Slayers. Also, us Demon Slayers can sense those with a high energy flow.” explained Kenji. “And that’s where your question comes in. You can see me. So that means you have a high energy flow. But I couldn’t sense you. I wonder why.”
Kentaro crossed his arms and closed his eyes for a moment.
“Okay, if you are a Demon Slayer, where did you come from?” asked Kentaro.
“I came from a different world known as Baltra. That is where the dearly departed go and where the Demon Slayers live. I came here because they told me to look for someone.” answered Kenji.
Kentaro opened his eyes and left his arms crossed.
“What did they want you to look for?” asked Kentaro.
“They wanted me to look for someone specific but apparently I can’t find her. Instead I found you.” said Kenji.
Kenji sighed and crossed his arms. He closed his eyes and began to think. He then began to mumble to a few things to himself. Kentaro was starring at Kenji. Kentaro took a deep breath and began to rub the back of his head. All of a sudden he felt this odd pressure. He looked out his window but didn’t see anything.
“Did you feel that?” Kentaro asked Kenji.
“Feel what?” asked Kenji, opening his eyes.
At that very moment he heard the cry of a demon.
“Damn, I should have known it was going to come here!” said Kenji.
He looked out the window and saw the demon. Kenji jumped out the window and stood in front of the demon. He took out his katana and pointed it at the demon. Kentaro was watching everything from his window. He noticed that this demon was much bigger than the one he saw earlier.
“I have to do something.” he said.
Kentaro ran out of his house and ran over to Kenji.
“What do you think you’re doing here?! If you get in my way you’ll end being killed!” said Kenji.
“He’s putting my family in danger! I’m not about to let that thing hurt them!” said Kentaro.
Kentaro had picked up a chair on his way out. He then charged at the demon. The demon roared and pushed Kentaro away. Sending him in front of Kenji. Kenji looked down at him and shook his head.
“See what I mean you fool! That demon is way too strong a mere human!” stated Kenji.
Kentaro got back up and charged at the demon again. This time the demon charged at Kentaro as well. Kenji’s eyes widened.
“Oh no!” he said.
Kenji ran a little faster to get in Kentaro’s way. As soon as the demon was about to attack Kentaro, Kenji stood in the way. Instead, Kenji was the one that got hurt. But also Kenji had raised his katana so the demon had gotten injured as well. Demon pulled away and screamed in pain. Kenji dropped on the floor, bleeding.
“Kenji!” said Kentaro.
Kenji then tried to get off the floor. He crawled over to a pole and looked up at Kentaro.
“Y-You’re an idiot. You were actually going to....sacrifice yourself to save....your family. One mere human doesn’t satisfy a demon for long. I-It will....eventually...attack m-more people...until....its full.” explained Kenji.
Kenji picked up his katana and pointed it at Kentaro.
“If you want to save your family then take my blade. Once you have my katana in hand, you will receive the powers of a Demon Slayer. Take the katana if you want to save your family.” said Kenji.
Kentaro looked at the demon then over to Kenji. He grinned and walked over to Kenji. Kentaro grabbed the katana from the handle.
“My name’s Kentaro Matsumoto. And I will save my family.” said Kentaro.
As soon as Kentaro pulled on the katana, a burst of light appeared and the demon couldn’t see anything. In a blink of an eye, the demon had lost his arm. Behind the demon Kentaro was standing up straight, holding a larger sword. He turned around to face the demon. He held the handle of his sword tightly. Kentaro then ran towards the demon. The demon swung it’s arm to hit Kentaro. But Kentaro dodged it and cut the demon in half. As soon as the demon touched the floor, it immediately disintegrated. Kentaro let out a deep breath and put his sword on his shoulder. He looked over at Kenji. Kentaro grinned and walked over to Kenji.
“So, I’m a Demon Slayer now, is that right?” asked Kentaro.

 

I laughed so hard on this part! LOL :rofl:

I decided to change the title to Whisper.I was actually looking for a song that would go with this new story.I woke up early today and it took me a while to fall back to sleep.So while I was trying to fall back to sleep,I finally thought of the song Whisper by Evanescence.I see that this song does show quite a lot of what I have in mind of the story.The title doesn't seem to change in the outside,so in the outside the old title is going to show.Anyways,chapter 3 will be up on Monday.I hope you guys are liking the story so far.

Chapter 3​

The next morning Kentaro was woken up by his father.
“Kentaro, wake up!” he called from downstairs.
Kentaro opened his eyes and yawned. He sat up and looked outside his window.
“I wonder if Kenji went back to his world, Baltra.” wondered Kentaro.
Kentaro sighed and got out of bed. He got dressed into his school uniform and went downstairs.
“Where’s Dad?” Kentaro asked.
“He just left. He said he was going to be late tonight.” Miyuki answered.
Kentaro grabbed a piece of bread. He turned towards the t.v. They were talking about an explosion that happened early in the morning.
“That’s close by.” muttered Kentaro.
“Is something wrong?” asked Miyuki.
“Huh? Oh, it’s nothing. I’ll see you guys later.” said Kentaro, walking out.
While on his way to school, Kentaro kept on thinking about what happened the night before.
Am I really a Demon Slayer? Or was all of that just a dream? wondered Kentaro. “Whatever, probably was just a dream.”
Kentaro finally arrived to his school and went straight to his class. He walked over to his seat and put his bag on his desk. Rai and Enzo came into the class shortly after.
“Hey Kentaro, I heard about that explosion that happened near your house.” said Enzo.
“Oh yeah. I walked by there and, whoa, that was a mess.” said Rai.
“Really? When I passed by there, they were almost done with the mess.” said Kentaro.
“I wonder what caused that explosion. It’s pretty weird.” said Enzo.
“What’s even more weird is that I didn’t wake up when it happened.” said Kentaro.
As the three friends talked, someone walked into the classroom. He looked around and spotted Kentaro. He grinned and walked over to Kentaro and the others.
“Hello. You must be Kentaro Matsumoto.”
Kentaro turned around and his eyes widened. He took a step back and pointed at the boy.
“What the hell! I-It’s you!” Kentaro said.
“My name’s Kenji Nakamura. And I’ll be sitting next to you.” he said.
Kentaro was about to tell Kenji something but Mrs. Yamazaki came into the classroom.
“Alright class, take your seats.” she said.
Kenji grinned at Kentaro. Kenji then took his seat to the left of Kentaro. Before Mrs. Yamazaki started the class, Veronica came into the class.
“Hello Mrs. Yamazaki. My counselor decided to change my class. I have you now.” she said smiling.
“Decided, yeah right. She begged her counselor to change her classes. Just to be with Kentaro.” Aria muttered to herself.
“Okay, take that seat behind Aria.” said Mrs. Yamazaki.
Veronica smiled and walked over to her new seat. While she walked to her seat, veronica looked over at Kaori. Veronica rolled her eyes and took her seat.

The bell finally rang for lunch. Kentaro quickly grabbed Kenji and took him outside.
“Okay, what the hell is your problem?! I thought you were going to go back to your world, Baltra?!” Kentaro quickly asked.
“I can’t. Only Demon Slayers or souls can enter or return to Baltra.” Kenji answered.
“What are you talking about?” Kentaro asked.
“Last night half of my powers were given to you. Now the only way I can return is if a Demon Slayer, with a strong enough energy flow, would return with me.” responded Kenji.
Kenji crossed his arms and closed his eyes. Kentaro looked at Kenji with a serious face.
“I guess staying here for a while is a good thing. I can be able to look for that person.” said Kenji.
“Well okay then. Go look for them. But I’m not helping.” said Kentaro, turning around.
“What are you talking about? You now have Demon Slayer powers. And since half of my powers are gone, you must go up against the demons that are going to go after those with high energy flow and the person I’m looking for.” Kenji said, grinning.
“What?! Are you kidding me?! I’m not going to fight those things! The only reason I took those powers last night was because I wanted to protect my family!” Kentaro stated.
Kentaro turned around and began to walk away.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Kenji asked, putting his hands down to his side.
“I’m sorry but you’re going to have to look for someone else to do your dirty work.” Kentaro said putting his hands into his pockets.
Kenji glared at Kentaro as he walked away. Kenji then heard his phone ring. He reached into his pocket and opened his phone. Kenji looked at the screen then looked at Kentaro. Kenji grinned and his left hand began to glow.
“Hey Kentaro!”
Kentaro stopped walking and turned around. Before he knew it, Kenji had placed his hand over Kentaro’s face. Kentaro looked in front of him to see Kenji with his arms crossed and his body lying on the floor.
“What the hell?! What happened to my body?! Or am I just outside my body?!” Kentaro asked.
“Yes, you’re out of your body. Demon Slayers are souls. Demon Slayers were once humans. But like humans, we died.” Kenji said.
“Wait I thought you said only those with high energy flow can see Demon Slayers.” stated Kentaro.
“That’s right.”
“Then how come my classmates were able to see you?” Kentaro asked.
“Demon Slayers ca use magic as well. We have a spell that can create a fake body, that humans can see, and put our souls into them.” Kenji explained.
“Oh great! You think you’re a wizard now!” shouted Kentaro.
Kenji rolled his eyes, turned around and began to walk away.
“Hey! Don’t walk away when I’m talking to you!” Kentaro shouted.
“Just shut up and follow me.” said Kenji.
“What?! What for?!” Kentaro asked.
“Just do it!”
Kentaro groaned and followed Kenji.

After a while, Kentaro and Kenji were in front of a park. Kenji was looking at the screen of his phone.
“What are we doing here?” Kentaro asked.
“We have a mission.” answered Kenji. “A demon has appeared in this park.”
Kentaro took a deep breath and looked around. A little girl was playing in the sandbox. She giggled as she build a sand castle. As the little girl played in the sandbox, sneaking up behind her was the demon, getting ready to devour her. As Kentaro was looking around, he finally spotted the demon. He jumped over the railings and began to run over to the demon, taking out his sword.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” Kenji asked.
Kentaro stopped running and faced Kenji.
“What does it look like? I’m going to save that little girl.” answered Kentaro.
“If I’m correct, you told me you only took my powers to save your family.”
Kentaro looked back at the little girl and clenched his fists.
“Leave her be! If you save this child, then you must commit yourself to save and protect everyone!” stated Kenji.
Kentaro just stood there, not knowing what to do. The demon finally opened it’s mouth and leaped forward. The little girl turned her head and saw someone standing in the way of the demon and her. Kenji grinned and crossed his arms.
“He’s made his mind up.” muttered Kenji.
Kentaro raised his head up to look at the demon. He tightened his grip on his sword and pushed the demon back. The little girl stood up and looked at Kentaro in amazement.
“Whoa.” she said quietly.
“Sayomi, come one lets go! We gotta head home!” called a young girl.
Sayomi looked at the girl then back at Kentaro.
“Sayomi, come on lets go!” called the girl once more.
Sayomi looked back at the girl. Sayomi then ran over to the girl. She grabbed the girl’s hand and began to leave the park. As they walked away, Sayomi looked back at Kentaro for a moment, then looked back forward.
“Finally made your mind up?” Kenji asked Kentaro. “Are you going to accept this job?”
“What about you?” Kentaro asked.
“What about me?” Kenji asked.
“When you jumped in front of me last night. Were you really thinking of your job as a Demon Slayer? No, that should be the last thing on someone’s mind.”
“Demon Slayers think of their jobs first. We don’t give humans any pity. If humans die, then they die. There’s nothing we can do, except so our job.” explained Kenji.
The demon got up from the ground and charged at Kentaro. Kentaro chuckled and raised his sword in front of him.
“So that’s the only reason you saved me, because you were doing your job?” Kentaro asked.
Kentaro chuckled once more and raised his sword above him. The demon jumped forward to attack Kentaro.
“I choose to be different!” Kentaro said.
Once the demon was close enough, Kentaro swung his sword, cutting the demon in half. The demon immediately disintegrated. Kentaro put his sword away and turned around to face Kenji. Kenji put his arms down to his side and grinned.
“Just as long as you accept being a Demon Slayer.” said Kenji.
Kenji took a deep breath, turned around and headed back to school. Kentaro followed closely behind.

The sun was setting and Kaori was in her room. She sat on her bed, looking out her window. She leaned against her wall and gazed at the orange sky. She then heard a knock on her door.
“Come in.” she said.
Her door opened and Sayomi entered.
“Kaori, can I ask you something?” Sayomi asked.
“Yeah. What’s up?” said Kaori.
“Well, do you believe like in monsters and all that kind of stuff?” Sayomi asked.
“Sayomi, how many times do I have to tell you, there are no such things as monsters.” said Kaori.
“No, I’m being serious. I saw one today at the park.”
“At the park?”
“Yeah when I was with Rin. That thing was huge. And I think that thing was going to attack me. But some kid that looked around your age stood in the way. He had blonde hair and carried a sword and-”
“Sayomi, you were probably just imagining it. Sayomi there’s no such thing as monsters, okay.” said Kaori.
“But...”
Sayomi sighed and left Kaori’s room. Kaori looked at Sayomi as she left her room. Kaori then looked outside her window again.
“Kaori, time for dinner!” called her mother from downstairs.
Kaori sighed and headed downstairs for dinner.

Chapter 4​

The next day, Kentaro and Kenji were by themselves during lunch on the school’s rooftop. Kenji was doing something on his phone. Kentaro was sitting down on the ground next to Kenji.
“Enough with the phone already! The beeping sound is getting annoying!†shouted Kentaro. “What are you even doing?â€
Kenji sighed and closed his phone.
“I guess I need to exactly explain why I’m here.†said Kenji.
“Yeah, pretty much.†said Kentaro.
“Well long ago, Baltra had a ruler. Her name was Kyoko Shimizu. She was more like a goddess. She was worshiped by all of Baltra, as a goddess. She was amazing. She was brave, intelligent, kind and beautiful. But she had so many enemies. Her enemies were always after the power Goddess Shimizu had.†explained Kenji.
“Power, as in the power she had as a ruler or....?†asked Kentaro.
“No. She had healing abilities, creating shields and other abilities. But also since she was the ruler, her enemies knew she would get in the way of their plans. But one might they finally succeeded. Her mortal enemy finally succeeded at assassinating Goddess Shimizu.†Kenji continued. “Now to explain the reason I’m here. I’m here, in the real world, because 15 years go Kyoko Shimizu was reincarnated. And it’s my duty to find the girl, that has Goddess Shimizu’s soul within her, and protect her before demons begin to attack her and before Goddess Shimizu’s old enemies find out she has been reincarnated. Especially before her mortal enemy finds out.â€
Kentaro looked at Kenji for a couple seconds then looked away. Kentaro closed his eyes and grinned.
“I’ll help you out then.†said Kentaro.
“Y-You will?!†Kenji asked a little surprised.
“I might as well. Since you’re going to be around me, I might as well help out.†Kentaro said standing up.
Kentaro looked over the railing from the school’s rooftop and looked down at the group of girls.
“And you never know, it could be one of them.†said Kentaro.
Kenji looked over the railing and looked down at the group of girls. Kenji looked at each girl carefully, seeing of any of them resembled Kyoko.
“By the way, where are you staying?†Kentaro asked.
“Oh, well-â€
“Hey! What are you guys doing up here?†Enzo asked walking over to Kentaro and Kenji.
“Hey you guys.†Rai greeted from behind Enzo.
Enzo looked over at Kenji, who seemed to not be paying attention. Enzo walked over to Kenji and looked over the railing. Enzo then looked back at Kenji and grinned. Kenji looked up and then looked at Enzo.
“Checking out the girls, I see.†smirked Enzo.
“Uh.....†Kenji said not knowing what to say.
“Now don’t lie. I know you were checking them out.†said Enzo. “All of the hot girls in our class are down there.â€
Someone had been walking up to the group of boys. All of a sudden Enzo was kicked and fell to the ground.
“Excuse me. I’m not down there.†said the person.
The group had been looking down at Enzo who was lying face first. They then looked up to see it was Veronica who kicked Enzo. Enzo turned his head to look at Veronica.
“Who said anything about you being hot?†he asked.
Veronica, who was no longer paying attention to Enzo, quickly turned her head. She went to Enzo’s side and began to step on Enzo’s back repeatedly. Veronica stopped, then walked over to Kenji. Enzo only laid on the floor, in pain. Rai walked over to Enzo and looked down at him.
“You asked for it.†Rai told Enzo.
“I know I did.†whined Enzo.
Veronica crossed her arms and walked away. While Enzo was getting up and Rai just stood next to him, Kentaro walked over to Kenji.
“So do you think any of them could be it?†asked Kentaro.
“Well, kind of. I’m not sure yet.†answered Kenji.

It was after school and Kentaro was walking home. As he walked by a river, he saw someone sitting down on the grass, gazing out at the view. He stopped walking and noticed it was Kaori.
“Kaori.†he called.
Kaori slightly jumped when she heard someone call her. She turned her head and saw Kentaro.
“Oh Kentaro.†she said.
“What are you doing here by yourself?†Kentaro asked.
“Oh well, I tend to like coming here. It brings back memories.†Kaori said turned her head to look at the sunset.
Kentaro looked at Kaori then at the sunset. He walked over to where Kaori was sitting and sat down next to her. Kaori looked at Kentaro then looked down at the grass.
“You know,†said Kaori, “Roxanne sure is the type that likes to gossip.â€
“Yeah. That’s one of the traits I hate about her.†said Kentaro.
“She told me you’ve known her and Aria for many years.†Kaori said.
“Yeah, I’ve known Aria since we were five and Roxanne since we were six.â€
“She also told me.....†Kaori paused for a moment then continued. “She also told me that you’re mother died a few years ago.â€
“I figured she would eventually tell you.†said Kentaro.
“I’m sorry.†apologized Kaori.
“Don’t be.â€
“How did she die?†Kaori asked.
“Before she dies she was very sick. A few years after she had my sisters, my mother became ill. But she got better.†explained Kentaro. “But then a few months before her death, she got worse. We didn’t know what was wrong. Even now, we still don’t know what my mother had.â€
Kaori looked at Kentaro feeling his pain. She then turned her head and looked back down at the grass. Kentaro turned his head to look at Kaori. Kentaro sighed and looked forward.
“What about you?â€he asked Kaori.
“What about me?†Kaori asked.
“Like you said. Roxanne is the type that likes to gossip.†said Kentaro.
Kaori gave him a confused look.
“I did but....†she said.
“She told me about you.†said Kentaro.
Kaori finally understood what Kentaro was talking about. She turned her head forward and brought her knees a little closer to her chest.
“I was hoping nobody would find out about that.†said Kaori.
“Well don’t tell your secrets to Roxanne.†said Kentaro. “Or else she’ll tell everyone in the whole school. Actually only a few people.â€
Kaori didn’t say anything. Kentaro turned his head to look at Kaori.
“You have it worse than me.†he said. “ I doubt it, it’s a lie. I doubt it you would ever lie about something like that.â€
“Okay yes, I am an orphan. My parents and my brother died when I was 10.†said Kaori.
“How did they die?†Kentaro asked.
“Car accident. We were going to this festival. Then a drunk driver was going the wrong way and hit us head on.†explained Kaori. “ I don’t know how I was able to survive but I survived. My parents dies at the scene and the drunk driver as well. But my brother died at the hospital. I woke up days later. So now I live in a foster home with two other girls.â€
“That’s pretty small for a foster home.†said Kentaro.
“Well the woman that’s in charge of the foster home, said she would only take up to four children. Mostly because her house isn’t big enough.â€
“Kentaro.†called a familiar voice from behind them.
Kaori and Kentaro both turned around to see Kenji was the one that called Kentaro. Kaori stood up and so did Kentaro.
“I better get going.†said Kaori.
Kaori picked up her bag and wave good-bye to Kentaro and Kenji. Kenji crossed his arms and looked down thinking. Kentaro turned around and began to walk home. Kenji looked up to see Kentaro was leaving. Kenji turned his head to look at where Kaori had walked off. He looked down and thought for a moment. Kenji sighed and began to follow Kentaro.

(Note:I just want to say a few things really quickly.1:FINALLY!!!I'm finally done with it.Well it was because of school.I'm working on chapter 5.But I'm not sure when its going to be posted. Okay now 2:I understand that there's a lot of dialogue.And I'm sorry if it could get a little confusing.This story is going to have a lot of dialogue.I just want to let you guys know.I have a feeling chapter 5 is going to come up quick because a close friend of mine,I let her read my story and she told me this today "You better finish chapter 4 because I want to read the rest." She is very interested in the story so most likely because of her I'm going get the chapters in quick.But if I don't please just be patient.I just have two years left of high school and then I'm off to college.And I really want to get good grades in these last two years.Okay so I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and hopefully I'll get the next one in quickly.)

Chapter 5​

The next day, Kenji was in a small store. He had his arms crossed and was standing in front of a man who was sitting down.
“So do you have any idea who it might be?†asked the man.
“Not exactly. I have three people in mind. I still need to see if they show any sign.†said Kenji.
“If I were you, I’d hurry. More and more demons show up everyday. Sooner or late, we’re going to hear about somebody getting killed. And it could be just the person you’re looking for.†said the man.
“I know that Noritaka.†Kenji said putting his arms down to his side.
“By the way, have you told that boy, Kentaro, about who you think it might be?†asked Noritaka.
“No, I haven’t. I’ve only told him about why I cam here in the first place.†responded Kenji.
“Well you better tell him soon.†said Noritaka.
“Yeah.†Kenji crossed his arms and sighed. “Well thanks for the help. I’ll come back later.â€
Kenji turned around and left the store.

Kenji arrived to school during second period. He entered his class and looked for Kentaro. Kenji spotted Kentaro with Enzo and Rai. Kenji walked over to them and began to pull Kentaro by the collar.
“Hey, hey! What the hell is your problem?†Kentaro asked Kenji.
“Come with me. I need to talk to you.†Kenji said.
Kenji took Kentaro outside to the yard.
“Okay what did you want to tell me that was so important that couldn’t wait until after class?†Kentaro asked.
Kenji put one hand on his hip, the other, he put it up to his mouth and cleared his throat.
“Okay, well, I have an idea who might be the reincarnation of Goddess Shimizu.†explained Kenji.
“Who?†asked Kentaro.
“Well, I was thinking, Aria, Roxanne and Kaori. I was thinking Veronica but she seems really mean.†said Kenji.
“What?! You expect one of them to be her?!†shouted Kentaro.
“Hey, you said it yourself. It could be someone in this school.†Kenji said.
Kentaro gave Kenji a serious look. Kentaro crossed his arms and looked away. Kenji only looked at Kentaro, waiting for a response. Kentaro sighed and closed his eyes.
“Well, what do you want me to do?†Kentaro asked opening his eyes.
“Right now, nothing. I’m just going to be observing them to see if the show any sign.†Kenji answered.
“You know, when you say observing, you sound like a pervert.†Kentaro said giving Kenji a plain look.
“S-Shut up! You know what I mean!†Kenji shouted.
“Yeah, but still. Don’t you think that sounds a little odd.†said Kentaro.
“ I said shut up!†Kenji shouted again.
Kenji turned and cleared his throat.
“You have nothing to worry about. Once I determine who is the reincarnation of Goddess Shimizu, she will be in good hands.†Kenji explained.
Kentaro put his hand on his head and sighed.
“What a pain.†said Kentaro.
Kentaro turned around and began to head back to class. Kenji looked at him as Kentaro walked away. Kenji reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He opened and phone and looked at the screen.
“Damn. I don’t have that much time left.†he said.
Kenji closed his phone and headed back to class.

It was after school, and everyone was heading home. Aria was walking home alone. While she was walking, something in the sky caught her attention. Aria looked up and saw an odd figure in the sky. She looked at it closely but couldn’t really tell what it was. Aria heard footsteps and turned around. But it was only two girls from her school, walking by. Aria looked back up but the figure was gone. She looked around but didn’t see anything. She figured it was just her imagination and continued walking home.
Kaori was on her way home as well. She stopped walking for a moment because she saw something from the corner of her eye. She turned her head and in the distance, she saw a shadow behind some trees in the park. Kaori tried to see what it was but couldn’t mak it out. She turned her head for a small moment and looked back forward. But when she looked forward, the shadow was gone.
“What....â€
Kaori shook her head and continued to walk home.
