    ...Huh. Interesting.

Yeah that's about the extent of my reaction. I jumped in the Zelda pool a little too late, haha. My first games were Oracle of Seasons/Ages, and I still haven't played Link to the Past. Any rate, a full-blown sequel seems like an odd decision at an odd time. Although, so does Yoshi's Island 3DS, but there it is. I guess Nintendo's going into nostalgia overdrive lately.

The drawing thing seems REALLY out of place

You jumped in late? Brother, my first Zelda game was Twilight Princess. Now that is late. I wouldn't say odd. A while back they gave us the hint that they wanted to either remake A Link to the Past or Majora's Mask. I think a full fledged game and it being a sequel is quite nice. That hint was pretty well done on their part too. Being that MM is a sequel to OoT and that it is from ALttP. They also are aware that nostalgia is a great way of making sales to old time Nintendo fanboys.

I haven't played Zelda much but I would definitely be interested in checking this out. Link to the past was my first Zelda game, so a sequel will give a sense of nostalgia to me

The game might be good, but man if that doesn't look ugly. If you're going to make a sequel to a game, at least a Zelda sequel, then there is no reason to not have the same artstyle.

the art style is a little off-putting to me but i'm pretty psyched for this. LTTP is by far my favorite Zelda game.

get around to it, it's awesome!

An overhead 3D Zelda, which is a sequel to my first ever Zelda game.

Definitely gonna be picking this one up, that's for true.

I sadly have not played LTTP. I have heard many many great things about it though and should probably put it under my belt before picking it up. Just means now I have to go onto the eshop and download it... if I have the room on my SD card (Thanks Fire Emblem and Ambassador stuff)

Man, I would if I could but as of recent things that have occurred in my life, it may be a few months until I have the money to sustain myself and have a little me money. But once I do, this will be on my 3DS. Promise .

At least Link's hair isn't purple. I'm surprised I am not that enthusiastic about this, I have played Link To The Past, and thoroughly enjoyed it, I don't see how there could be a sequel to LTTP, I think the game ends fine, I wasn't dying for a sequel, but I hope this turns out well.

It's probably because of how balndly it's being presented. They're 'big' thing here was "Look, Link can turn into a drawing and walk on walls!"
Not exactly the most exciting reveal

I' ve been told it' s not necessarily a sequel story-wise, rather a sequel in spirit, depending which source you read. Frankly I couldn' t care less which pretence of a story the choose this time around, I was never in it for the story. I' m just happy to see a top-view Zelda, too bad the art style looks completely bland. Oh well, as long as it' s not yet another stylus-only thingy count me excited,

In the trailer there is a clip of Link battling Moldorm, the boss from the Tower of Hera, the third temple, so the game will probably be a sequel in spirit. If they only use the stylus that would ruin the experience, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks were made around the idea, so they kind of worked, but a Link To The Past wasn't, so I highly doubt the game will be stylus only.
I think the concept could work well though, but none of the best potential was shown, ie. A boss centered around the idea. The thing that was the biggest blow was that the magic meter doubles up as a stamina meter, from Skyward Sword, the dreaded Stamina meter returns.

It's a sequel. Takes place in the same game world, six years after the original

I do wish that this game had much better graphics to it. They don't mean everything, but it can help present it. The concept is nice, but I feel like this has been done by them before with say, Paper Mario. I was expecting something more OoT like instead of the PH or ST feel. I will watch closely to see if it changes into something of my liking.
