Kingdom Hearts II A Kingdom Hearts Movie

i think they should make a kingdom hearts movie sort of like the style they had with Final Fantasy Advent children. this could be like the adventure after kingdom hearts 3 like from the message in the bottle from the king onwards or just a whole new story with sora riku and kairi. i think it would be good. sned in ur thoughts

A Kingdom Hearts movie would not work out as planned, thanks to Disney.

 

If they can make a DBZ movie, a KH movie in CGI might work out. RE movies came out pretty good. I don't know though. It would really depend on the director to make it cool. Just don't make it Uwe Boll.

 

It would be awsome but they would need all of the people who did the orginal voices for the characters. That won't be easy.

 

As tempting as it sounds like, I'm very sceptical about a movie. You need the right persons working on it, ones who truely KNOWS Kingdom Hearts you know? And not just something that would end up soulless.

I've gotta say no on this one. Why would you want a movie version of a game when you can just have the game with the same high-quality graphics? I mean, sure FF7:AC was kinda cool (a better attempt than that FF:Spirits Within crap), but there were a lot of people out there that actually wanted to be able to play it and not just watch it. Hence, why they tried Dirge of Cerberus.

If they tried to do a movie on KH, they might as well have just put all those resources into building a better game. We don't want a movie to end up totally unrelated like they did with FF:TSW. :sideways:

 

Well, it really depends on what occurs in the next games coming out and if people will still be in to Kingdom Hearts in the years to come, Square did do a good job in there previous movies (I include FF:Spirits Within, I though it was a good movie, regardless of people saying it wasn't a true final fantasy) but since KH is a collaboration with Disney, I would advise against a movie. Disney would censor it way too much and put it in theater with a G rating when clearly it should be near a PG-13-ish.

 

That would just end up bad :(

I read an interveiw about Nomura saying they MIGHT make one for kingdom hearts, but he also said they might not. Well, they'll probaby end up not making one, seeing as though fans are expecting Birth By Sleep, 358/2 days, and Coded, not to mention Kingdom Hearts III. They might run out of time to make one.

 

Of course they should make a kingdom hearts movie. i mean that would be so cool!

You mean 90 hours of mind blowingly AWESOME SPIFFY GRAPHICS which consume your interest rather than the plot? Which was, in reality, just an excusable rehash of the FF7 plot itself with a different story base that was picked up from FF.net?

thats a very good point but we all no the FF: sprits within was a peice of crap i think the FF. advent children was a success tho because everyone as familier with the characters. i would want a good kh movie but also them concerntrating on the next game when and if it ever comes out

yeah the disney bit would be cencored but if they liked the game "violence" then i dont see a problem with incorperating that with a movie

yeah i got to igmit that of corse i would rather a new game then a movie but i would also want a movie so if i didnt want to play the game but felt like some kh goodness then i could watch the movie :)

 

If it's in CGI I think it would be great. I honestly would like to see the movie, just to see what kind of effort it would be. It might end up spectacular, and if it doesn't, well, the games will always be the same. I'd be interested to see it, actually. I wish they would make one. If they made an amazing movie, it would so be worth it. :)

No, just no. One, the marketing implications would be disaterous and two, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT? Plus you people keep on saying "disney this and disney that". If it was run by Disney, one of THEIR CG companies would be worrying about it....actually it might never be released because anything Disney releases they have to mass market. Also I have yet to have seen a "good" videogame movie aside from Silent Hill, and believe me, I have seen MANY. Also the Final Fantasy: Spirits Within you most likely consider crap because it wasn't BOUND to the RPG-FANTASY of Final Fantasy (I had never played Final Fantasy prior to viewing it and thought it was ALRIGHT, after playing an FF and looking back on it, IT'S STILL ALRIGHT). You people need to look beyond your emodoll-Cloud-Strife's and Oedipus-Barbie-Sephiroths!

Anyway, although some may consider a movie to be "good" it wouldn't be a good marketing move for SE considering their workload. Also, they prioritize in GAMING not MOVIES. Also considering the audience asking for it, if they even ATTEMPT to break the mold they might be bitten by their own fans! You already blew your chance with FF:SW hence why we had a practically unmoving plot for FF7:AC! It's because "you" as a general audience aren't looking for new movie/story ideas and that's why re-hashes keep getting put up.

...Sorry that needed to be said and I believe being candid is of some value. I apologize to anyone that's been offended, however, as a general group it is relatively true. Most of SE's fanbase seems to stagnate in FF7 for whatever reason.....(and don't tell me it was the best RPG ever, I've played through it and others and FF7 is definately not in the top tier).
