You actually believed that GameStop knew the US release before they even announced the JP release?

 

Don't believe only one source it can be unreliable. If more sites are saying it wont be, then it might be true, but for now, I'm going to stick with the info other places are still giving.

 

Damn. And this fall was gonna be pure awesome, what with KH-Days coming out, along with Cowboy Bebop and Death Note coming out at the movies. Now it's gonna be one step less awesome... Just don't anyone tell me my movies aren't coming out either, k?​

 

Awww crud! I wasn't really sure about the release date that Gamestop said, but they seemed so confident on it! Crud!!!

 

I didn't belive gamestop any way. I'm waiting for SE to say when its coming out.

Well Gamestop did say that it was an estimate date and that they weren't sure.
When a release date is in works, stores like to start pre-ordering so they know how much they need when shipping does start as the games is released.

What ever the case is, it's not a big deal guys. The release date could actually release before August. I mean the game is now expected to come out in Japan sometime May. It took Kingdom Hearts: II only three months to release in North America.

 

I would actually prefer it coming out in September when I will actually have money! as I will be paying for texts books in augest and they can eaily be around $500.

August 31 is obvious Place holder date until they get the actual release date.

Stores like gamestop do that all the time so they can do pre orders on said game further in advance. How none of you people realized it was a filler date is beyond me.

 

I said it before on another thread: August 31st is a placeholder date for an estimated fall release. It could be any time between then and December, or possibly even later than that, if it gets delayed.

 

like others have said it was a guesstimation date to get a general concensus for inventory. i never took the date as fact

 

Exactly.I don't believe it either.It depends on where you go,and if they are trustable.Or,if it's actually anounced on the front page if Mike found it or so.It's possible that the date changed again.
