すごいです

i'm testing something and if anybody knows what this 'すごいです' says without using a translator can you tell me, i already know but i'm testing something

 

It appears to be "sukoidesu", but the second hiragana symbol looks a bit like "go". Which, if you replace both, it actually means something I hear all the time ( damn wannabe Japanese people ). Which is "sugoidesu", as I recall means "that's wonderful" or "wonderful". ( Anything that is quite a synonym to wonderful. )

Well, the meaning of the entire sentence (yes, it is a sentence, not one word) is a little different. I'll break it down:

sugoi-desu. "Sugoi" literally means "amazing; cool; etc." The "-desu" has no literal meaning in English, but it is closest to the verb "to be." The sentence can mean "I am cool," or "It is cool" for example, as the Japanese don't use their pronouns when it is obvious who/what you're talking about through context.
