Rain. You long to feel the rain pat and trickle down your skin again or any type of weather for that matter, the warmth of the sun perhaps? You have long given up hope though. How long ago was it that you were brought here on a leash or in restraints? Weeks? Months? Years? It seems you’ve given up counting.

The Wayward Private Clinic and Lunatic Asylum.

That’s where you are. They called you “mentally unwell” well, the polite people did. Those who were kind enough to still treat as a Human being; the other’s just simply called you crazy and spat at your feet.
But oh no, you’re not crazy. At least, you don’t think you are…or maybe you do. All your actions have reasonable purpose or so you think. But you’re special. Yes, you are. You’re not like the others, oh no. If they knew what terrible things you could do, they wouldn’t keep you locked up like a lamb waiting for slaughter, would they? Well, some know what you’re capable of else why bring you here? The superintendent and few of the Doctors know of your powers, it’s why you’re often the subject to experiments, treated like a laboratory rat.

    -----------

One of the Doctors peered into your cell through the door, chuckling and mocking you, so rude. You wished you could’ve harmed him right then. Yeah, that would’ve been fun. You choose to do the good thing and ignore him like you always did. He carried on with his rounds, checking on the other lunatics of the asylum. That’s when it all started. First, you heard footsteps, hard against the floor. Running; more footsteps, more people, more running. The shouts began.

“New Patient! New Patient! We need the heavy restraints now!” The voices were frantic; you noticed this, their tones increasing with fear as each minute passed by.
You got and peered through the little window in your door, interested in what the fuss was all about. You saw a whirl of white jackets carrying what seemed to be a small body, tightly wrapped in thick leather restraints. And just like that, they whisked around the corner and out of sight.

You were just about to sit back down on your bed, when you heard the agonizing screams; you raced back up, alerted and panicked. You noticed blood had painted the corner exit wall as well as the floor. The ringing of Alarms filled the Asylum for a few seconds but without warning, everything went black. Power cut. Everything seemed to shake. You curled up into a small ball on the floor, covering your ears wanting to drain out the frightened screams of other patients. An otherworldly screech echoed the halls, adding to your distortion. Bang, bang, bang. The sound of the large metal cell doors being crashed open. Everything seemed to happen so fast. You reopened your eyes, it was light again but deadly silent, nothing but the sound of the swinging lamps could be heard. You dared to look outside your cell, the sight almost making you throw up. Blood was splattered across the walls and floors, some dead bodies of fellow patients and some of Doctors and Nurses thrown about and bruised, their eyes aimlessly staring ahead, everything seemed to be broken.

Your heart pounds as you take in the scene before you, half wanting to curl into a ball and let the ground swallow you up but not able to take your eyes off the devastation. As you lean forward on your door to get a better look, to your surprise it eerily swings open. You look around, unsure what to do with your new found freedom, when you hear it. The sound chills you to the bone. It's coming for you. You don't know how you know but you do. You start to run. You have to get out. The only way you can survive this is by doing the impossible. You have to ESCAPE.

~ There are no Mary-Sue's here, no stereotypical good guy. Everyone has a dark secret; some peoples may be not as obvious as other but everyone has a secret. They were sent here for a reason. We're all mad here.

~ Two powers per person don't go over the top. Their powers will be weakened at the start as they are drugged with something that inhibits their powers. However this will wear off as the rp goes on, meaning they increase in strength.

~ Even though this is designed to be a mature rp and there will be gore, please be reasonable and remember where you are. We don't want to make people too uncomfortable. Don't go all out. Same with romance. You can hint a lot but leave it up to people's imagination.

~ Don't godmod and control other people's characters, be fair and give everyone a fighting chance. On the same note, don't power play either. Your character is not invincible, they cannot dodge every attack and have unlimited attacks. They get tired and especially at the start, their powers are limited.

~ Me and Midnight are in charge here. Our word is LAW. And we reserve the right to change the rules and things when we see fit.

~If you have a problem or question, ask us, don't just keep it to yourself. We will try our best to help. We don't bite, mostly.

~ You must stay active. If you don't we will give you warnings but we will come up with forfeits or ultimately your character will end up being the monsters next victim.

~ Don't kill off other people's characters without their explicit permission and if you do so you must have a reason. Likewise don't kill your own character off without a decent reason. If you are killed off, come talk to us, we may have something for you.

~ Lengthy posts aren’t necessary but are, really, really appreciated. Detail is love.

    Post away~

In the depths of the Asylum, humming could be heard. It was fairly cheerful humming of a child's nursery rhyme, completely unsuited to the surroundings. It carried well through the relitively quiet corridors, the old building having suprisingly good acoustics. Of course that meant the screams carried too but for now, everything seemed calm. If you were to look, you'd find the source of the humming was a little girl sat cross legged on the floor in the corner of one of the high security cells. She had an ever present smile on her face and her eyes were shut as she swayed from side to side. She seemed completely oblivious to where she was. The guards outside didn't react to her humming, they were used to her odd habits. Truth be told, they didn't seem to understand why they had to watch over such a seemingly harmless young child. The girl was a bit strange but surely anyone who had been locked up for their entire life would be. They knew there were a lot worse patients they could have been stationed outside.

The girl's name was Rose and she'd been at the Asylum for as long as most of them could remember, longer than any of the guards had worked there and longer than most of the other patients. And yet, she was also one of the youngest patients there - she was not long into double figures. None of the guards had been told why she was here, though inevitably rumours had spread. However looking in as she hummed along to herself, it was hard to believe that any of them could be true.

Without warning she stopped humming and a few seconds later the chaos began. People running about and shouting as they wheeled the new patient down the corridor, urgency in their voices. None of the guards noticed her move, but little Rose was suddenly no longer sat down but on tip toes gazing through her tiny window. She watched curiously as they brought in the new patient, attempting to make sense of what was going on. They passed and the guards, glad of the little excitement to break the monoteny of their shift, looked into to Rose's cell. They saw her now laying on her back on the ground, staring at the ceiling, with a puzzled expression on her face. It was like there was a difficult puzzle on the ceiling that she was trying to figure out. There was no sign at all that she had been looking out of the window only moments earlier. The guards found this odd but simply shrugged it off.

Then the screams started. The guards did not hesitate to leave off and see what the problem was. Their screams soon joined the chorus. Rose simply sat up and shut her eyes. She tilted her head as she listened to the sounds. The alarms, the screams of both guards and patients, gunshots, explosions, doors being crashed open but beneath that all there was one sound that caught her attention the most. A bone chilling sound, that even made her shiver, a screech or a roar that could of come from no natural source. She listened intently before silence came. A silence that was perhaps scarier than what she had just heard. It was an all consuming silence that seemed to fill every nook and cranny of the place. It may get quiet sometimes but it was never silent in the asylum. Never. Slowly she opened her eyes and stood up. She rarely moved slowly, she prefered to go so fast she'd not be actually seen actually moving. There wasn't a risk of that now, no one was around to see her. She moved carefully upto her door and tentively looked out.

She was fascinated by what she saw, the white walls had been painted red. Bodies scatter the floor. She recognised her guards. Everything had been destroyed. And she frowned as she realised, that included her cell door. It was barely hanging on its hinges. She carefully placed her hands on the door and pushed as if just to experiment to see what happened. The door fell backwards onto the floor, crushing a dead body or two. She stared at it for a second, registring what had just happened. She carefully stepped out of her cell and looked around, unsure what to do. The destruction seemed to go in all directions. She crouched down and dipped her finger in a pool of blood. She stared at it for a moment before placing it in her mouth, she tasted it's metalic tang straight away. Her trademark smile crept over her face. She started skipping down the corridor. Then she heard it. That noise. The one of the monster that had done this. The noise she was scared of even if her consious mind wouldn't register it. It was coming from the direction she was going. She paused, span around and started skipping away in the opposite direction.

Why was he here? What had he done do deserve this? Where was here? More to the point... what was here? All the year's he'd been here, and still no answers. The Doctor's here experimented on him like on everyone else... except the experiments were different, they were genetic-based. He was not insane, they knew that, thats why the experiments were different, they put him here so no one would suspect what was truly going on.
    He didn't belong here.

One day, he was lying in his bed, listening to some humming... it was the strangest sound he'd ever heard in this place, the humming of a girl. He'd heard it quite a few times and mabye, just mabye, it was the only thing that kept his sanity intact... then, it stopped. Seconds later, rushing happened, the rushing of footsteps. He sat up and rushed to his door and looked through the slit of it. Then, screaming, before he could register what was going on, everything went black, dead silent, and yet he could hear something... a noise which made his bones chill, when the lights were back on, he was on the floor, the door was wide open, his guards were decapitated, and outside looked like a bloodbath. It almost made him sick, almost. He got up and stared for a few seconds, and then it hit him... the door was wide open. Without a second thought he raced out of it, next second, he heard skipping... and then that noise, it was coming from the direction he'd intended to go in so instead, he went the other way, following the sound of the skipping.

'Ney Uso, is today going to be a bad day today?

It was dark inside Asylum as Elsie's bright blue eyes flickered silently to the floor as she tightly squeezed her stuffed rabbit towards her chest. The floor was cold against her bare feet and corridors seemed to go on forever as two security officers walked by her side. They were talking casually as they escorted her to her room since it was quite the distance from the testing lab. She had just finished a inspection and had been feeling slightly sluggish from her intake on drugs. An annoying buzz echoed in the background as their footsteps seemed to deepen with every step. Why was the hallway so loud?

    Shut up...it's too damn loud.

    A guard turned towards her.

    What did you say?

She turned and gave a cold glare.

    Nothing.

The man snarled angrily and raised the butt of his rifle in the air, striking her in the head. She came crashing down as Uso tumbled out of her hands.

That's right you psychopathic *****. Know why you're in the crazy house? It's because you're ******* insane!

His words didn't seems to phase her. Her face continued to keep a melancholic gaze as she reached out for her companion and brushed his head. After being in this place for God knows how long, she had grown immune to the simpletons jeers. The other guard grew impatient and snapped at the other. Her eyes focused on the floor and became cold with irritation.

    Annoying...

The room grew suddenly cold as a screech of wheels grew closer. A large group of doctors and nurses came rushing by with a brand new patient. They were yelling for assistants and Elsie and the two guards looked with gaping eyes. Time seem to slow down as her eyes quickly darted to see the new person. She didn't manage to get a glimpse at the face, but she did see it smile insanely. She shuddered. The buzzing had finally stopped. The two guards managed to stop arguing as they pulled Elsie to her feet.

Damn, another one of these freaks? It's bad enough that we have to deal with this one.

He pushed her from the back and they continued to walk down the hallway.

Her door had seen better days as she gazed upon its iron frame. Inwardly she spat disgusted remarks, but she couldn't say anything. No one could. Lately, she has wondered if she was the only person who had felt a strong desire to leave. Heck, she had forgotten what an actual human was like since being here. But she has heard some foreign humming throughout the years that had reminded her of her mother. Whenever she heard it, she danced around her cell and her dress and hair twirling gracefully around her, humming along to her own tune. Her only audience was Uso, but she didn't mind.

She hasn't really seen any other patients besides the ones she would see in the waiting room. Even so, it would only be a quick nod and then she'd never see them again.

The two guards opened the door pushing her inside her prison. Elsie held Uso by a paw in one hand, allowing him to trail on the ground. She turned around with glaring eyes and prepared herself to be in the darkness again. The door slowly creaked closed as the light slowly dissipated behind it, and all was left was a sliver. Her eyes, still unchanging, held a melancholic gaze.

The door suddenly stopped closing. The buzzing noise returned. There was sudden screaming and cries for help, and the guards had left her door. She paused and listened carefully for the noises outside. Cries of terror and gunshots echoed down the halls as Elsie slowly came to the door. She curiously pushed it open to reveal the bright hallways again. The buzzing grew even louder as the screams became muffled now. She took a step forward her feet brushing against the cold tile again and Uso dragging on the floor.

The cruel guard suddenly came running pass the corner, tripping over his own feet. She looked at him with disgust. There was fear in his eyes as he looked at her, reaching his hand out for help.

    S-SAVE ME!

She blinked. Save him? Now in the world would she do that? She couldn't help but reveal a twisted smile and his eyes widen with more fear. The buzzing was extremely intense now that Elsie thought her head would pop. She watched the man turn around in horror and bring out his rifle, shooting aimlessly at the barren air. The lights died out and was followed by a horrid scream of agony. A warm wet feeling splashed on Elsie's cheek as she stood their in fear. The yelling grew unbearably loud and she covered her ears.

    SHUT UP!

The screaming had ceased as did the buzzing, Her eyes slowly flickered open to a bright room again. The man's organs were completely exposed and the white walls painted with a beautiful coat of red. Her melancholic gaze had not flinched. She walked next to the man's carcass as her feet and rabbit soaked in the pool of red around him. She gazed at the agonized stricken face. She smiled.

She turned to her side to see a shadowing figuring hovering over her. It stared at her intensely and smiled insanely. Her eyes shrank slightly as she stood up defensively, but the shadow vanished as soon as she stood up. The sound of humming and skipping reverberated through the corridors as she looked looked down the hallway. She smiled slightly and started to hum as well, pulling Uso into one hand and made her way down the aisle with bloody footprints and a rabbit's trail.

"Everyone hides who they are at least some of the time. Sometimes you bury that part of yourself so deeply you have to be reminded it's even there at all. And sometimes you just want to forget who you are altogether...”

She felt her head throb as she reached out aimlessly towards the small window, her delicate and pale fingers wrapping around the bars. She let out a small sigh. How she longed to escape. She was tired of this place; tired of the hallways which seemed to go on forever, tired of the sensation the injections gave as they pricked into her skin, tired of the countless rude remarks her doctors made. Tired of everything.

She curled her fingers back in towards herself as she felt the cold breeze of the wind sweep over her knuckles and paced back into the centre of her cell. Placing one of her small crafted hands on top of her forehead, she gave a slight groan; the drugs were having side effects again. Idiots she thought to herself, one would think they would’ve created a drug with no side effects by now. She tutted angrily to herself as she bounced onto her bed, the springs creaking as she lay down. It was almost impossible to get comfortable on these unbearable beds; it was as if the mattress was made of rocks instead of comforting fabric and cotton.

Emilie listened carefully; in the distance she could hear cheerful humming. Somewhat unusual, she never normally heard something cheerful sounding, not counting the Guards laughter as they poked and jeered at her. She liked the humming. She could almost put words to the tune. Yes, she could. She started to hum and sing along, springing up as the words came out her mouth

She began dancing and twirling around like a delightfully happy princess as she continued to hum the rest of the tune, she fell into hysteric laughter as she finished it midway.

“Crazy *****” Growled one of the Guards, staring at her through the small window in her door. She almost felt embarrassed, almost. She was basically immune to the all insults that were thrown at her; she was about to sit back down on her bed regretting her childish behaviour when she heard the screeching of the wheels, followed by urgent toned voices that were begging for any assistance.
She hurried to her door, peering out the window; her guards seemed almost unfazed as a whirlwind of white jackets and running people swept past them.

“Another one of these freaks” One of the guards said, nodding towards Emilie’s door. She rolled her eyes; to her they were the freaks. So morally obese and lacking in intelligence, she found it disgusting how they could say she was the freak.

The screams started, this time it alarmed them, they ran off and soon enough, their screams joined the chaos. Emilie backed away and covered her ears. All the noises. Screams, explosions, the alarms, doors being crashed open. She couldn’t take it; she fell to her knees and blacked out.

Mark stared at the small stone in his palm, smaller and thinner than a dime, irregularly shaped because he had broken it off the walls with his own bare hands. It had taken months of effort and secrecy, he couldn't have let the guards or doctors find out what he was doing. Mark smiled grimly, in these hands, a blade of grass could have been a deadly weapon, if it weren't for the damned drugs.

Mark sighed, staring at the small stone in his hand, and closed his eyes, moving the parts of his mind that he exersised regularly, even if he couldn't do anything with them just now. I'm not insane, I know what I can do... it's the drugs, they keep me from using my rightful gift. he thought to himself, as he strained, visulazing the stone was easy, visualizing the atoms that made it up was also easy, his mind could predict the precise movements of the molecules within it, the way they shook and shuddered, wanting to be free of the bindings that came with being solid.

All he had to do was use that untapped energy, but it was so hard, how dare the scientists take away his gift? It was his god-given right to use the powers, why couldn't they see that?!

Mark calmed himself, and opened his eyes, the small stone was levitating about a centimeter above his hand, trembling as it fought gravity. Mark grit his teeth, trying to keep it up longer, he'd been trying to work around the drugs ever since he had come to this accursed place, but he rarely was able to keep his stone in the air for longer than a minute or two at a time, and that was a passive effort, he couldn't sling the stone faster than he would be able to with his own arm. In the past he had thrown cars, blocks of cement, and people. Oh yes, he had thrown people, bad people, nasty people. What in BLAZES gave them the right to insult mother like that? Mark thought angrily.

Oh yes, they deserved what they got, he thought, thinking of exploding blood vessels, of snapped necks, of crushed bodies, and of the agonized screams that the brutes had made when he had started rubbing their skin against their muscles, and muscles against the bones. It had been fun to watch them explode into flame from the friction, it had been fun to swing the still-living burning Monsters around himself. Nothing went wrong until the one miscalculation, Mark shut his eyes to the painful memory of his mother's corpse. IT WASN'T MY FAULT! he mentally shouted.

Mark collapsed to a shuddering wreck on the ground, ignoring the stares of his guards. A few minutes or was it hours? later he noticed movement and shouts; climbing to his feet he gazed out the window as another innocent person was dragged in here against their will by the monsters that ran this place. Mark made a noise of disgust and sat down on his bed, ignoring all the noises that the ugly pigs that were his guards made.

Mark ignored everything until he heard the agonized screams, what on earth was that? he wondered, climbing slowly off his creaky bed and creeping back towards his door. Peering out the window he saw splashes of red paint decorate the gloomy walls, as the agonized screams of the evil monsters made lovely music. Mark chuckled to himself, and sat down on the floor, closing his eyes and humming to the wonderful massacre going on outside.

When he finally opened his eyes again, he noticed two things. His door was swinging on its hinges, the lock snapped, and it was eerily quiet, even the lovely sound of that one girl's humming had died away. A few seconds later he heard something that must have been the sound of skipping. Poking his head out, he saw a girl skipping away from the direction that the music had come from.

Mark climbed out of his cell and glanced back at the lovely hall colored with the blood of his tormentors. It livens the place up, he thought satisfied to himself, ignoring the horrible roar that came from the hall. Then he turned and dashed after the girl and the other man, they were probably headed out of this place, and Mark wasn't going to waste his chance for freedom. Maybe the people ahead were like him, not really insane. He chuckled to himself as he followed, yes, that's right, we are the only sane people on this planet, with that lovely thought he continued to follow the others.

A small grunt echoed down hallway. Followed by one more, and then what seemed to be some form of a sob. Blood, thick and red, slowly seeped into the material of her shirt. A metallic shine illuminated the darkness blinding her from the world around her, which her dreary brown eyes met nervously. Steeling herself, she shut them tightly again and awaited the agony that would greet her. Once second...two seconds...three...still nothing. No noise, no indications of movement. Absolutely nothing. She waited five more seconds before opening her left eye very slightly, just enough so she could at least see the small area in front of her in which her predators lurked, some form of elation enveloping her as she saw no one. Then she saw it again. The metallic shine. She instantly wrenched her eyelids shut with great urgency, as if that would cause her fears to vanish. Before she could register anything else, an agonising wail escaped her lips, and blood was creeping down her arm at an alarming rate. Her eyes were wide open once again as the pain assaulted her nervous system, her screams becoming more inhumane as the seconds dragged along. A sudden slap to the face snapped her out of the madness, followed by the angry scowl from the guard. "G-get lost!" She heard herself bark, tears streaming down her face. Another slap, and another, and then the warm and disgusting feeling of saliva running down her leg marked the guard's exit.

"I hope you rot in hell!" She screamed again, pulling herself up into a tight ball to escape the hell she herself was enduring, her mind slowly fading to blackness as she heard the frantic screams of nurses and doctors as they went about doing their thing in the distance. She had no idea what was going on out there, but the last thing she heard before drifting off was a yell of pain from her guard, followed by many more, and the feeling of fresh blood splattering her from outside her door brought a small smile to her lips.

Mmmmmph! she thought to herself, It's so boring!

She couldn't remember the last time she had any fun at all . . . The guards were a bunch of jerks for not letting her do anything - so she was a little on the loopy side, big deal! So she had a habit of molesting the other girls, big deal! They could at least let her out . . . She liked fresh air every now and then, too! She was still human.

Jamboree, a sort of celebration, that was her name . . . The girl could feel a lump growing in her throat, a shakey feeling in her body, she felt exhausted. Her heart thumped hard in her chest, she could feel little droplets of tears bearing at the corners of her eyes, her nose started to burn and her eyes were growing more watery. Just a few moments later, she burst out into a bawl, sobs racked her entire body.

Outside, her guards looked listelessly at each other and shrugged, this was normal for guarding her cell; sometimes she laughed loudly, sometimes she threw things around, yelled, screamed at nothing, cried as if the closest thing to her heart died, normal.

Jamboree was still crying, as if someone died, when her ears registered quickening steps, first one pair, then another, more, more more, they built up, stampede. Shouting began, Jamboree still cried.

"New patient!" But as if her world was coming crashing down around her, the ginger-haired girl still cried. "We need heavy restraints now!" More crying . . . As she cries, she is also imagining what's going on outside, but it seems menial next to the fact that they wouldn't let her get any fresh air, which made her cry even more.

The shouts, all of the hurring, it sooned turned into screaming. At it, Jamboree could feel herself calming down slightly. It was just enough for her to get off of her bed, wipe her eyes as if she were a child, and peer out of the window, little droplets of tears on the corners. She frowned, and then everything went black. She jumped slightly, but flicked up her finger, right now, she was weak, so she could only make a small flame, she looked out her window again with her little light. There was something thrashing around. In front of her face she felt a woosh of air that had followed a loud banging.

Everything went still, fell silent. The lights came back on, and just in time, Jam's little flame died. The last of her tears had dried up. At her feet, the bodies of the her two guards. Their blood pooled around her bare feet, coating them in the thick, red stuff. She looked around, her reddish eyes dancing.

Her door was broken. Dead bodies, all around. Blood painted on the walls. No one was stopping her. She skipped out.

    Where to now?

The fluorescent light above him hummed as it always has. He sat on his bed, his back against the wall. In this position, he could sort of see the hallway outside of his cell if the guard's head wasn't blocking the way. Not that there was much to see anyway. Unlike some of the other patients, Andrew was a bit more mellow and reasonable to deal with, thus only having one guard stationed outside his door and not two like most of the others. He didn't deny that he probably had some issue with his mind and that he was probably slightly superhuman than most of the ordinary populace. However, Andrew liked to think that he was at least a bit more sane than some of his neighbors and fellow extraordinary people. When he first arrived here, he was far worse than he was now. Super uptight, flinching at every sound made. Being surrounded by less sane people didn't improve his paranoia. Eventually, the noises and screams didn't bother him as much anymore and he was finally able to sleep somewhat peacefully at night again. As being used to sirens while living in the city, he ignored the sounds and they faded to the backdrop. The tests were something else though. Even if he can't necessarily remember his whole life from before the...incident, Andrew was pretty certain that he was never a fan of needles. It wasn't like he had a phobia, it hadn't quite progressed that far, but it took some energy to repress the urge to...well...act a little crazy whenever it came to testing time. Besides the marks of needles for various things, Andrew was lucky that he didn't have any other marks of abuse. Of course there was still discrimination, being treated as less than human as a lab rat, but he knew that the treatment he received was far less severe than the more abusive things he's seen the employees at this "hospital" commit to other patients. He was an obedient person and didn't talk much at all. Anything the guards say, he ignores. If someone asked him a question, he would answer it to the best of his ability with as few words as possible. Eventually, he figured, he may be released for good behavior. But of course, he knew that this wasn't an ordinary sort of "prison" where "prisoners" can be released after a time if their crime is minor. This was where he would spend the rest of his life as a lab rat for scientists.

Pondering over these things again, Andrew sighed while closing his eyes. If the scientists didn't kill him, then boredom would. Most times he would just daydream the day away. About what the outside world was like now, and what would he do in various situations. However, Andrew was in luck. Today was a particularly exciting day compared to oh- the last few years when nothing happened. Immediately, he picked up on the sound of hurried footsteps and rushing wheels on the linoleum tiles. Something was going on outside of his cell. Raising his head, perked up by the sounds, Andrew listened some more. The nurses and doctors sounded...scared. Well, all right, so they're almost always scared of them, but they seemed more terrified than usual. A new patient they said. Oh a new one? Wonder what this is all abou- however, Andrew never finished that thought.

Immediately, things seemed to have gone horribly wrong. Shrieking screams erupted from all the personnel outside and Andrew blinked in surprise at the sound. He was used to patients screaming in pain and...various other issues they had, but...the doctors and nurses? He didn't know how to react to this, so he stayed put on his bed, frozen in place. A part of him wanted to go and see to fullfill his curiosity, but the other part figured it'd be better to stay on the bed, where it was safe. Seconds after the screaming, the whole hospital blacked out for a few seconds. Andrew's eyes stayed wide open even in the pitch dark. His ears caught the sound of his cell door opening. No...please no... At that moment he was terrified of being killed by whatever had obviously slaughtered the hospital staff. If that thing crept into his cell and killed him in this darkness, he would never know.

But then the lights came back on again, and Andrew was blinded. Blinking to get used to the change in brightness, he saw that yes, his door was indeed open. But the door itself blocked his view on whatever was outside. After staying still, frozen in his position and hearing some footsteps pass by (most likely the other patients), he slowly crept off of his bed and peered around the door. The sight that beheld him shocked him. It was an absolute massacre. The hospital staff didn't stand a chance. It looked like an intense food fight had happened in the hallway. Except with ketchup. And tomatoes. And some chunky pieces of cold me- Andrew closed his eyes intensely, trying hard to forget the picture he just saw, or at least try not to lose his cool. Already he was starting to panic. No. Stay calm. Just...all right look. The door's open. Let's just bust this joint.

For a moment, Andrew was hesitant. He had been here for some time, that the thought of escape had left him long ago. Then he stepped outside, careful not to step in any of the growing blood puddles. He always wanted to have slippers, but for some reason the hospital just seemed to think barefeet was most hygienic. Right. Some of the other patients seemed to like traipsing around barefooted, but not he. It sort of grossed him out. What if someone vomited? Sure the janitors would clean it up but still. What if there was residue?

Regardless, he noticed a few bloody footprints going to the left. What? But isn't it faster to go to the entrance the other way? Or maybe the entrance IS that way... Andrew looked to the right. He felt going down that path was dangerous and most likely led to death. There was a sort of dark presence there that almost sent chills down his back. Oh. I see. Welp, to the left it is. Making his decision, he followed a distance behind the others, following their bloody footprints until he finally spotted their backs. He hoped they knew where they were going. Being lost in an asylum was most likely dangerous and about as fun as getting shots.

Hatred, vengence, solitude, these were the only things one Keel's as he added another tally on his cell wall. Nobody knew why he did this, they just assumed that he was counting the days until he was free. To him it was more than just simple counting, it was how long until he had his revenge.

"There's not point of you counting yours day." One of the guards said. "If it wasn't for your step dad I'd make sure that you'd have a horrible time here."

"I'm supposed to be grateful for a cowwrd who decided to give me a easy time here." Keel said before turing and giving the guard a icy cold stare. "I guess that make you a coward too." The guard didn't react to that well since he drew out in gun and aimed it at Keel. All Keel did in response was raise his sleeve on his left arm, revealing his other to scars. "If your going to shoot, make sure to aim for my arm." The man would've gladly complied, if it wasn't for the chaos that happend. The sounds of screams and gun shot rattled through the air as everything went black.

When the light came back on, the man who was infront of Keel's cell was now dead against the wall across from his cell. That and his cell door was opened. As he thought about what to do with his new found freedom, a horrible, inhuman screampirced the air, making his choice clear. Steppign out of the cell, he went in the opposite direction of the scream.

Smile, we're all going to die either way!! (:

Blood splashed up as Rose skipped through puddles of the stuff; her bare feet had already been painted red. She didn’t seem to be bothered by the bodies; she jumped over several as if they were obstacles in a park. Did she know where she was going in this maze? There was no telling. She didn’t appear to be paying much attention to direction but whenever it came to a junction, she didn’t hesitate on choosing where to go. She didn’t seem to register that she was being followed either, she was just lost in her own little bubble.

Without any warning she stopped, span on her heels and bounded back over to the people following her. Her face lit up with joy as she saw them. “Oh! Hello! How are you? Were you all following little me? I don’t know why you’d do that. Will you be my friends? Or do you want to hurt me like everyone else? Please don’t hurt me.” She barely stopped for breath as she danced between them, becoming uncomfortably close to them. She had little understanding of the concept of personal space. She giggled happily and looked at each of them, swaying from side to side. Curiosity hung about her, she wanted to know everything about her new soon to be friends. Her mind whizzed from one thing to another, never stopping for a moment. She looked between them all, her blue eyes shining and a sense of expectation about her.

At first he was going to say 'step aside, human' but then a realization hit him. He isn't going to get out of here alone.
"Hello there, don't worry, we won't hurt you... all the guys who do that are dead, anyhow. They called me Ruzgar, what would your name be, lass?" She seemed so innocent to be here... aside from the fact that her feet were covered in blood. He'd seen alot of blood in his time, so he didn't mind, her voice seemed familiar... it sounded similar to the humming. "Are you the one who was humming, by any chance?"

He'd almost forgotten about the thing chasing them when he heard it again, that noise, he looked around. "Now, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I think we need to get out of here, like, now?" All though he was stating the obvious, he was right.

Disoriented, Emilie awakened. Sweet intense pain, like 1000 needles shaking around in her head. She sighed and stood up, she shouldn’t be defeated so easily, she thought to herself. It was only a headache; she had endured much more painful things.

She noticed her cell door, gently swinging, barely on its hinges. The sight was eerie, almost scary to the green eyed girl. She peered slightly around the corner, her guard was stood still. Curious as to why he hadn’t shut the door, locking her up once again, she began to slowly approach him, extending out her arm. One step, another and then another. No movement came from the Guard, she got closer and closer. Hesitant, she lightly tapped him on the shoulder. She gasped. The head fell and rolled like a coconut falling from a Palm Tree, the glazy eyes of the guard starting back at Emilie as the decapitated head stopped rolling. It was only then she noticed the blood smeared walls and the gutted bodies; she took in the sight, unsure of how to react. She was free. Free to run. Free to skip, dance and shout and to do whatever the heck she liked to do. A small smile spread across her lips as she began to walk away from her cell, but just then, another noise. A loud and hallow moan/growl. The creature perhaps? She began to shake. No, how stupid of her, she wasn’t free; she was just a sitting duck, waiting to be slaughtered.

Madam Mornington, the Superintendent of the Asylum. Emilie had to go to her, she had too. Whenever something went wrong, you always had to visit Mornington, always. She was unsure of her decision but went with it anyway, she began running, further and further, off in the direction of Madam’s Mornington’s office.

The moment Ruzgar started talking; Rose was back in front of him, into his personal space, rocking backward and forward on her heels. She smiled as he talked and said he wouldn't hurt her, she’d been hurt more than enough already. She’d examined him while she’d been dancing round him and he didn’t seem too bad, she looked forward to finding out what secrets he had to hide. She clasped her hands together, “Oh how good, so you’ll be my friend? My name is Rose.†She attempted a curtsy as she said that, though managed to get a little tangled up and ended up falling over, covering her in yet more blood. The name Rose suited her, as a rose appeared to be really pretty and innocent, yet had hidden thorns beneath. She carefully got up; her white clothes now half red. Her face lit up as he mentioned the humming, “Uh huh, that was me†She nodded happily but then paused, her face dropping slightly, “Was it bad? Sorry.â€

However Rose looked back up as the blond guy started asking about an exit and couldn’t quite supress a laugh. “Really? I do too. But it’s not that easy. It’s never that easy. If it was that easy it’d be rather boring. You do know we’re in the middle of the asylum, the bit where they keep the most dangerous ones of us? Before everyone died they put the place into lockdown, most of the security systems are automated so now the powers back on the security systems will be active and ready to neutralise any threat, like us. The monster will have taken out some but we’re heading to where the monster isn’t. Oh yeah, and there’s that. There is a monster over there that wants to kill us. This will be so much fun!†She burst into giggles again after explaining. She may be only a child, the youngest and smallest there but she’d also been at the asylum longest and knew a bit about how everything worked.

Andrew halted when everyone else halted. He hadn't been following too closely anyway, but he did wonder why the procession had stopped. Then he saw why. They were all following a little girl. I guess they don't know where they're going...they're just getting away from whatever that...thing was. Well, I guess this works for me...somewhat... He followed the girl with his eyes as she hopped and skipped all around him and the others before listening closely to the conversation taking place in front of him. To his surprise she seemed to know quite a lot about this place. Just how long has she been here? he wondered. When she had finished the reality had dawned on Andrew. Of course. We're trapped here in this maze and there's a monster out to get us. Just like the minotaur and his labyrinth. Putting his right hand up to his face, Andrew sighed. The hope he had of escaping this place alive was quickly diminishing. Without a word to the others, he silently walked away from them and looked back down the hall where the slaughter had taken place. He heard the slap of bare feet running on the tiles and noticed a figure running in the distance. I wonder where she's going. Would she know how to get out of here alive? Or would she lead me to my death? I suppose it's a gamble with either group. he thought as he looked back at the previous group. Standing there, Andrew deliberated what to do.

Mark eyed Andrew warily, then stepped up over to Ruzgar and Rose, "hi there he said, looking at Rose, "I love your humming, it keeps me sane," he said, after glancing at Ruzgar to make sure that he didn't have a knife or anything like that.... you could never trust other men... "So.... then.... my name's Mark...." he said... eyeing the blood on the girl's dress... she deserves to relish our victory.... the poor girl should never have been taken by those hideous guards, he thought, "... so... anyway, we have to get out right? We probably stand a better chance of doing that together than we do alone."

    Welcome to Hell
Each hallway seemed exactly alike from the previous one and Elsie started to grow impatient. The blood had dried from the bottom of her feet, but Uso still dripped like a faucet. The wine red blood blended in too deep with Uso's black layer that she couldn't tell. She cradled him in her arms and she gazed down a forked split hallway. Her eyes were still slightly melancholic.
"'Ney, Uso. Which way should Elsie take?"
The rabbit sat quietly, it's smile unchanging and it's black button eyes staring at nothing. Her eyebrows furrowed.
    "Are you sure?"
She peered down the left corridor and held on tighter. "Okay, if Uso says so, then Elsie will listen."
She started to make her way down the hallway as her feet padded across the floor, making small scuffling noises along the way. She noticed that the humming had died awhile back, but she continued to hum to herself and Uso.

She turned the corner and noticed a man looking completely puzzled. She blinked and squeezed her rabbit tight.
"'Ney, Uso. Is he a bad man?"
Silence. Elsie's eyes became cold and fierce with darkness. "I see. So he must die, I assume?"
Silence. Her blue eyes flickered warily towards the man until she heard another noise. Running? Was there more people that have escaped their rooms as well?

Elsie relaxed slightly but didn't keep her eyes off that man. Instead, she started walking towards him with a straight gaze.
    "Elsie won't kill him..."

She managed to brush passed the man with the confused gaze, but she didn't turn around. Instead, she continued to walk down the hallway without batting an eyelash. Still she continued to hope the man would turn her around.

While deliberating on what course of action he should take, Andrew didn't even notice the sound of approaching feet until they were almost in front of him. Confused by the sound, he looked down and noticed another little girl glaring fiercely at him. Taken aback, he unconsciously took a step back before being brushed pass by the girl a little harshly. Dazed by the memory of the ferocity of her gaze, Andrew ventured a glance back at her. The rabbit she carried was pretty cute, he admitted, though one part seemed darker than the other part. Well that's strange. I wonder how that happened. In a far part of his mind, Andrew subconsciously guessed it was from being in blood somehow. Though Andrew himself wasn't that aware of this inference. Turning back around, he continued to wonder which path he should take. Be with the group, or not with the group? Equal chances of being killed in both, he guessed. Just pick one...choose the one you think would be the lesser hell.

    Only Hate connects us.
Keel just stood back and listen to what was going on as he watched the others enteract with the little girl. To him it didn't matter who he was teamed up with as long as the end results where the same. "It depends on what were up agaisnt and how well we work together." Speaking out wasn't his something he like to do, but it seemed like they would last longer if everyone did something. There's always strength in number I guess.

Attack Life. It's going to kill us all anyways. :)

Rose span round from Rugzar as soon as Mark started talking, leaning in far too close to him, "Really? You like it?" It was fairly obvious that she loved the fact someone liked her humming, "Well hello Mark. Will you be my friend too? I like having friends. Friends are good. Friends help and they don't hurt you. I don't want to be hurt anymore." She looked down momentarily and her very loud voice quietened as she said that last sentance. Before looking back up and going to her usual volume, "Yes, we have to team up and kick ass!" She smilied naughtily and giggled at having said a bad word.

She looked round as yet another man spoke up and frowned, she didn't like him very much. He seemed so cold and calculating, he made her shiver. He didn't seem very friendly and appeared to see all of them as just tools as opposed to people. He was like a guard who would hurt her in her mind and she unconciously moved away from him, not replying to him at all. She wasn't sure she wanted him as a friend.
