    Groups:

    The Arisen
    The six chosen that will head out to slay the dragon.

    Warrior [Taken by: TwilightBlader]
    The Warrior wields a sword and shield in combat and boasts a great deal of strength, allowing the Warrior to even carry a two-handed blade with one hand while still using the shield for defense in the other. The Warrior has moderate speed but is capable of dealing crushing blows with his sword.


    Ranger [Taken by: Webhead]
    The Ranger wields a longbow in battle and strikes with extremely deadly accuracy and precision. The Ranger carries two knives for close combat and while the Ranger may not be as powerful up close as the Warrior, the speed of the blades make up for this weakness. Rangers are excellent trackers and have an uncanny sense of direction.


    Sorcerer [Taken by: Rem]
    The Sorcerer can create walls of fire, send a wave of ice straight at an enemy, summon gusts of wind to knock down flying monsters, and much more. Their innate power is channeled through a staff and without it, the Sorcerer is nearly powerless. Sorcerers have an innate connection to nature itself. No animal, feral or trained, has ever been known to harm a sorcerer.


    Assassin [Taken by: Midnight Star]
    The Assassin is fast and agile though lacking in strength. An Assassin uses a curved shortsword in combat and often uses throwing knives for attacking at a distance. Assassins are stealthy and often prefer going about business during the night. The Assassin is like a bag full of tricks, as their job requires them to learn many skills ranging from pick-pocketing, to lock picking, to even mastery of several languages. Assassins possess knowledge of different poisons and venoms.


    Mystic Knight [Taken by: Marushi]
    They carry a shield almost as tall as their own body and use either axes or war hammers in combat. They are rather slow in combat due to their heavy equipment but they are easily able to push through their enemies, knocking them over with their strength. They also have the ability to cast elemental spells to their weapons and those of their allies. Their own magic quickly drains them of strength however.


    Magic Archer [Taken by: Machina]
    The Magic Archer is much like a Ranger in the fact that they both use a bow. Magic Archers however, do not use regular arrows. Their arrows are created from pure magic. The arrows are limited in only the Archer’s strength and are more versatile, even splitting into volley in mid-flight. Magic Archers only carry one knife.


    The Remnants
    The Remnants are an ancient group who worship the last dragon as a sort of deity. They believe that if they serve the dragon known as “The Remnant” they will be granted eternal life and power beyond any mortal’s imagination. Now that the Arisen have been gathered for the sole purpose of slaying the dragon, they will stop at nothing to kill them.


    The Others
    As the name implies, these people fall into neither category. They may wish to help the Arisen or are agents of The Remnants hired to kill the Arisen. They could even be on neither side. In either case, they are what make up the population of every town and have their own stories to tell as well as their own agendas.

    Rules

    1. No Godmodding or Power-Playing. I reserve the right to do so if I need something to be pushed for in the story of this RP.
    2. I’ll be playing by “Arch’s Rule” in this RP. A little something that I’ve started that seems to be found in a few other RPs recently. It means I reserve the right to change or add rules as the RP goes by if I see fit.
    3. As of now there will only be one person per class. Not having a class isn’t bad though! It gives you more creative freedom.
    4. I’m not allowing any “Eastern” weapons or clothing in this RP. By Eastern I mean Asian since this is a Western influenced RP and having a samurai/ninja/etc. around doesn’t make any sense in this RP.
    5. I’m going to kill your character off if you suddenly leave for a week or so with no warning whatsoever.
    6. Related to the previous rule, if you’re gone for about three days or so in the middle of interacting with another character the other character will be allowed to ignore you. Two days max for something more important.
    7. Your character can’t be all-knowing.
    8. Yes, bad guys(Remnants) can have magic but only 2 spells max. I’ll leave the creative part up to you.
    9. In the “Side” part of the second OC form you can be more descriptive than “Other” if you want. Like specifically saying what nation your character is allied with.
    10. I encourage you to ask questions! Even if you aren't part of the RP!
    11. PM me if you want a character with magical abilities that isn't part of the Arisen.

    Background: Siegfried was born into a family that had sworn loyalty to the kingdom of Welk. With his mother having died upon childbirth, Siegfried was raised by his father who was a knight of Welk himself. As a child he was rigorously trained by his father in hope that he would become a knight just like him. Although the training was difficult he looked up to his father as a great man and wished to be just like him. At a young age he soon became a knight of Welk and joined his father. Unfortunately it was during a surprise assault on the castle that Siegfried's father was murdered. The sorrow and rage Siegfried felt made his foolishly rush into battle. Although other believed his skill to be mediocre, Siegfried revealed his true skills as a warrior. Showing great skill in ending the assault Siegfried was made one of the king's best warriors.
    Personality: Siegfried tends to keep a calm and cool head. When it involves protecting the innocent or his friends and allies then his determination is unwavering. Other than that Siegfried can be quiet laid back about a pointless situation and would just let it play out then attempt to stop it. As a knight he can be quite chivalrous when he want to be

    Name: Alec "The Locus" Espan

    Class: Ranger

    Background: Alec was born to a family of hunters, though his mother died in childbirth. His father, however, was a fisherman. His cousins always made fun of him as they were able to easily hunt and bring down the largest of beasts, as their fathers had taught them, and Alec was trained to fish instead. However, Alec was proud of his father for living outside his family's expectations. When Alec was 13, his father took him out on a fishing trip in their small boat. Unfortunately, a storm hit and sent the two off into the sea. Alec's father drowned, but Alec washed ashore onto a remote island. There, he was surrounded by various animals and had nothing to defend himself with. He turned his wooden fishing rod into a bow and taught himself to use it. While at first, he was unable to do anything skillfully, he soon learned the ways of the bow. He spent three years in isolation, but it helped him sharpen his skill. He was rescued by a group of passing fisherman and brought to Welk. Now a teenager, Alec decided to travel the land and learn everything he could about the bow, taking lessons from not just other hunters and Rangers, but even a few assassins (in aiming). He traveled for four years and became an expert marksman. He went back to Welk two years ago where he earned the nickname "The Locus" for being able to shoot a large amount of arrows that it appears as a swarm. It was this specific skill that caused the king to recruit Alec.
    Personality: Confident and serious, Alec lets nothing stop him from doing what he has to...and he "knows" that nothing can. He's as trigger-happy as they come, not wasting a moment to fire an arrow.
    Equipment: A longbow (duh). Slightly above the center of the bow is a patch of steel that he strikes with his arrows, which use flint for arrowheads, to ignite them instantly. He carries two knives: a dagger and a small blade. He also carries a thin, but durable rope.
    Other: He tends to introduce himself as simply "The Locus."

    Name: Lenora Williams

    Background: Lenora grew up as an only child, both of her parents were Sorcerers. They both expected Lenora to develop her magical abilities at a young age, but got them while she was thirteen. Because of this, she couldn't control it and lost control of her spells many times. Eventually, her parents decided to take her out of school and train her themselves. Within two years, she was able to control a couple of her abilities better. When Lenora reached seventeen, her mother had died from a fever. Her father couldn't handle the loss and committed suicide. After that, Lenora taught herself from her father's journals, where he talked about his progress and Lenora's progress.
    Personality: Lenora became reserved and quiet after her parents died. Some people have told her she seems cold and uncaring, but it's really quite the opposite. She cares a lot for just about anyone that shows they care about her. The only thing she hates about herself is her short temper.

    Appearance: Also physically very short/small causing her to look younger than she is.
    Background: Alice’s parents died when she was only young and she was forced to live out on the streets. There she had to learn fast to survive, she learnt to pickpocket first. She was fast and agile, it seemed so simple and she quickly discovered no-one suspected the innocent little girl. As she grew older, she gained more skills including different languages and learned to fight. She also discovered pick pocketing alone wasn’t enough so with her new skills she begame an assassin. She remained small which suited her fine as everyone underestimated her. She stole books on poisons to help her and steadily gained a reputation in the criminal community as an assassin. Everything was going great for her until that night. They came without warning and destroyed her small home town, she only just escaped with her speed but everything she’d gained over the years was lost. She’d heard stories of the dragons on the streets but she’d been skeptic but now one had appeared and destroyed all she’d done, she couldn’t believe it. She left to head out to the capital, when she arrived she quickly learned of the mission to slay the dragon. That was when she made her choice, she had nothing left bar her skills and what she had on her. She had nothing to lose so despite them having chosen some people she decided to volunteer, even if it was suicide, perhaps she could help them get revenge on that monster.
    Personality: Calm, collected, seldom gets angry, tries to be optimistic but is down to earth and knows realisticly their chances. She is extremely determined and will happily face up to someone twice her size, when she wants to do something she will do all it takes to achieve her goal. She believes trust is something that should be earnt, so will be slow to trust people but also work hard to gain the others trust. When she makes friends, she will do all she can to protect them.
    Equipment: Curved short sword, throwing knives, poisons and a few lock picking tools.

    Appearance: Background: Jehan grew up in a small village, and was practically the village tramp. His father was a drunk and beat him regularly, so Jehan did everything in his power to keep away from his father. The village boys also targeted him as easy prey, since his father would not be angry with them for anything they did. But Jehan never was one to let circumstances rule his life, so he ran away from that life when he was ten, and studied fighting with weapons from anyone who would teach him. Then he was found by a strange traveler who saw Jehan's potential, and told him of the existence of a mystical order of knights. This man took Jehan on as an apprentice and brought him to the order. Jehan was a natural, and soon became one of the youngest Masters in the order. Now he is one of the Arisen.
    Personality: Usually optimistic, Jehan almost always wears a smile, and rarely has a harsh word to say about anybody. But due to his past, he has learned to be quiet and reserved, usually only speaking when necessary. He feels every little thing deeply, and takes whatever is said about him, be it bad or good, and believes it to be more or less true, but doesn't let his emotions cloud his judgment or even show themselves.
    Equipment: Usually uses the standard axe of the Mystic Knights when fighting, but carries a small iron dagger in his belt enhanced with the power of ice. He rarely uses it, but it's powerful, and he keeps it with him for emergencies. He also has the long shield, which might be difficult to carry, but can keep him safe under most any circumstance.
    Other: Sometimes, when he's had a lot to think about, he dreams about his childhood or his father, sometimes even his unknown mother, and is depressed for a little while. When this happens, however, he usually puts on a brave face and pushes through it, without letting it take a hold of him.

    Background: Ronin's father was a Mystic Knight and his mother was a Sorceress. Growing up he discovered that he had the gift of magic and once assumed that it was because of his own heritage. When he confronted his father and mother about it, they had told him that he should have never developed magical abilities since in all other instances of a Mystic Knight and Sorceress having a child, the offspring never developed any magical talent. He grew up with relatively few friends do to his father’s status of nobility in Welk and in an effort to put his talents to use he became an archer in the King’s army. While he wasn’t chosen by the King to become part of the Arisen, Ronin felt obligated to join their group.
    Personality: Ronin is well educated for his age considering the fact that his father was wealthy even amongst the Mystic Knights. He’s a curious individual, headstrong, yet slow to anger.
    Equipment: A bow and hunting knife.

    Appearance: Background: Maerwynn was the only daughter of a rich man, and as such, grew up getting everything her heart desired. This did not spoil her, however, as her mother raised her to believe in more then simply self. She constantly strives to better the world, and asked her father for the chance to learn swordplay. Her father agreed grudgingly, as he believed it was the woman's place to marry and keep house, but he couldn't bring himself to say no. So she learned swordplay under one of the finest masters money could buy, and now she is very good with a blade. But then the Dragon came, and destroyed their village. Having lost everything, her father was plunged into poverty, and she set out to avenge him. She currently is traveling alone towards the mountains, but hopes to meet the Arisen along the way.
    Personality: Maerwynn is quick to trust people, and has a sweet disposition, often putting the well-being of others over her own personal safety. She is used to a life of luxury, but will not shy away from rough conditions, and believes it to be her duty to see the dragon dead.
    Weapons: A long sword fashioned from the best steel in her home village, it is named Narroch's Bane, a name she gave it when she set out to fight the dragon. It is perfectly balanced for her slight frame, as it was made for her, and she wields it expertly. Unfortunately, it is the only sword she ever used, if something were to happen to it, she would lose some of her skills.

    D: Well the Sorcerer has been claimed by someone else just a little while ago. Though you still have the choice of either a Mystic Knight or some non-Arisen with magic if you still want.

    Could you elaborate on the non-arisen? I might want to go for Assassin or Magic Archer, unless the non-arisen intrigues me.

    In the first post, Magic Archer is said to be taken by myself.

    A non-Arisen is anyone who isn't part of the group of six. As I said above, it could be an enemy or someone who will join the Arisen's side. The six will split up into two groups at the very least in the beginning of the RP meaning there'll be plenty of room for other fighters from various places they'll visit to join them. A non-Arisen has no "role" restrictions meaning even though there's a Warrior using a regular sword, a non-Arisen can also be the same.

    The only restrictions I'll place are related to location. At the start of the RP, I won't allow any non-Arisen to be a Sorcerer or Magic Archer but there can be someone who has a lesser grasp of magic in the area, you'd just have to make it work with the story. Basically a non-Arisen gets a more generic OC form to fill out allowing for more creativity. The Arisen are locked into a certain set of abilities with very little leeway. ...Get what I'm saying? D:

    What type of sorcerer are we talking about is the standard? Elemental sorcerer using water/air/earth/fire spells?

    If so, is there a possibility of creating perhaps some sort of summoner/necromancer?
    Though I would prefer to be on the good guy side...
    Is there room for having two characters? (Good/Bad sibling/family)

    I'll keep that in mind when/if I post the full RP. I'll give better explanations on roles and the bad guys when I do.

    Then you can have it.

    Yeah, the sorcerer can do that. Probably even summon a comet or something from the sky too(not something on par with FF's Meteor though).

    A summoner could work if we're talking about calling minor beasts/animals. Obviously a summoner wouldn't be able to call a dragon or some "boss-like" monster. A necromancer would be good for the bad guys though since I'm thinking quite a few of them(or all of them) will have access to magic.

    You can definitely have two characters but only one Arisen.

    Seeing as how this has gathered more interest than I thought it would, I'll be finishing up the RP tomorrow. I've been too busy today with stuff over here to even attempt to do so but I'm going to really try and push for the RP to be completed by tomorrow. Better explanations and such will be up as well but questions and anyone else wishing to join are all still welcome.

    Edit: And to answer Noroz: A druid can still be used. That'd be rather interesting to see depending on how that's worked out.

He feels every little thing deeply, and takes whatever is said about him, be it bad or good, and believes it to be more or less true, but doesn't let his emotions cloud his judgement or even show themselves.
    Equipment: Usually uses the standard axe of the Mystic Knights when fighting, but carries a small iron dagger in his belt enhanced with the power of ice. He rarely uses it, but it's powerful, and he keeps it with him for emergencies. He also has the long sheild, which might be difficult to carry, but can keep him safe under moost any circumstance.
    Other: Sometimes, when he's had a lot to think about, he dreams about his childhood or his father, sometimes even his unknown mother, and is depressed for a little while. When this happens, however, he usually puts on a brave face and pushes through it, without letting it take a hold of him.

    Background: Maerwynn was the only daughter of a rich man, and as such, grew up getting everything her heart desired. This did not spoil her, however, as her mother raised her to believe in more then simply self. She constantly strives to better the world, and asked her father for the chance to learn swordplay. Her father agreed grudgingly, as he believed it was the woman's place to marry and keep house, but he couldn't bring himself to say no. So she learned swordplay under one of the finest masters money could buy, and now she is very good with a blade. But then the Dragon came, and destroyed their village. Having lost everything, her father was plunged into poverty, and she set out to avenge him. She currently is traveling alone towards the mountains, but hopes to meet the Arisen along the way.
    Personality: Maerwynn is quick to trust people, and has a sweet disposition, often putting the well-being of others over her own personal safety. She is used to a life of luxury, but will not shy away from rough conditions, and believes it to be her duty to see the dragon dead.
    Weapons: A long sword fashioned from the best steel in her home village, it is named Narroch's Bane, a name she gave it when she set out to fight the dragon. It is perfectly balanced for her slight frame, as it was made for her, and she wields it expertly. Unfortunately, it is the only sword she ever used, if something were to happen to it, she would lose some of her skills.
