View attachment 50918 Hey everyone, over the past 2 weeks I've been making this Command Melding Tool for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. As of today, it's feature-complete! If you've ever been annoyed by how you can't see what commands/abilities you'll get through command melding, this interactive tool will make your next playthrough go a lot smoother. It has 2 modes: - Meld Mode: Select the commands you want to meld together, and see the resulting new command, as well as all possible abilities (based on the crystal you use), and probability of success. View attachment 50914 - Recipe Mode: Select the command you want to create, and see all possible ways to make it. Can also see abilities and chance of success. View attachment 50915 All menus are searchable so you can quickly find what you're looking for. If you find any inaccuracies, please report them to me. I was very careful, but there are literally hundreds of recipes, so chances are I made a few mistakes (already caught/fixed some while testing). You can DM me here or on Discord (iwt_explode). You can also reach out on Twitter (@KHVidsNET) or Bluesky (@Kh-Vids.net), I should those as well. Meld responsibly!
Yes, cutscenes have been recorded for everything except for DLC. Need to grab some more battle footage and do the editing. Took a bigger break than expected, but this week I'm returning to it. Thanks for your patience!
View attachment 50841 Hey gang! With the future of Twitter being somewhat unclear, we're trying our luck on Mastodon. Our handle is: @KHVidsNet@masto.ai We created our account on the masto.ai server, but you can create yours on just about any server you want, and still be able to see/interact with us, as long as your chosen server is public. You can follow that link to create an account (or find another server here). If/when you do join, let us know in the comments (or through a DM) and we'll give you a follow. If you're here from Twitter, same rules apply. This could quite possibly go nowhere, but the greatest chance of success is us sticking together. For more info on how Mastodon works (we're still figuring it out too), you can check out this video: For clarity, this website isn't going anywhere, and barring the unforeseen we'll still be on Twitter. Will probably try cross-posting on Twitter and Mastodon. Just figured we'd try something new :)
It's unfortunately not possible for ReCoM, or X Back Cover. All other games however, it is possible.
View attachment 50831 Hey everyone, the next batch of Kingdom Hearts III cutscenes in 4K FPS are out now! This one covers all worlds from Monstropolis to Land of Departure. To recap what makes these videos special, they feature: - PC version with Max Settings - 4K Resolution - 60 Frames Per Second - Dual Audio tracks (English, and English without music) You can download everything here: Kingdom Hearts III Cutscenes (4K)(60FPS) Alternatively, you can watch the cutscenes online using this YouTube Playlist, mind you the quality is not quite as good, and doesn't have dual audio functionality. In the next release, we'll be rounding off KH3 with the end-game, DLC, and other loose ends. Look forward to it!
Hello, I've moved this to the Code Vault section. I'm not familiar with that tool, but I think the KHPCPatchManager will do the trick for you. It can extract (and repack) pkgs: https://github.com/AntonioDePau/KHPCPatchManager
I'm not sure what you mean. They can't be turned off in Premiere, since it's baked into the video. They must be disabled in-game. For KH3 you turn off subtitles in the menu. For a lot of KH games there's no option, so they need a mod to remove them. Subtitles are off in our newer videos, but not in many older ones.
I use Adobe Premiere Pro. PS4 versions unfortunately don't have those options (though KH3 does have a subtitle toggle). The options are only on PC, and even then require a bit of modding to turn it off completely.
I turned the music off in-game, then manually added the soundtrack back in, using my editing software. Then exported two different audio tracks, and used ffmpeg to add both of them to the video.
Coming eventually.
View attachment 50824 Hey everyone, today we're releasing the first batch of Kingdom Hearts III cutscenes in 4K / 60FPS, at Max PC Settings. You'll definitely need a beefy hard drive to fit these, as this set alone is nearly 40 GB, and KH3 as a whole will probably be around 130 GB once it's done! As you can imagine though, the quality is stunning; it looks nearly identical to playing the game in real-time on a high-end PC. I understand this isn't feasible for everyone, so we'll be uploading them to a YouTube Playlist as well. The quality won't be quite as good, but for those who want the next-best thing, it's there. Going with our recent trend, these scenes have 2 audio tracks, one with background music and one without. And thanks to the USMToolkit made by Rikux3, even most pre-rendered scenes can have their music turned off. Those pre-rendered scenes have a few caveats on the music-less tracks: it uses mono audio, so no panning effects, and a lot of sound effects are missing due to how the 5.1 surround was divided up. But dialog is all good: think of it as a cool bonus ;) You can download them here: Kingdom Hearts III Cutscenes (4K)(60FPS) This set goes from the start of the game to Kingdom of Corona. I'm doing it in parts because of how much space the raw capture files take up. If I did everything in one go it would fill up my hard drive haha, so I'm moving them to an external drive every now and then. Plus I figured it's better to give people access as soon as possible, what with how long this takes. Hopefully the next part will come out a bit faster. You can check out our full Cutscene Archive for the rest of the series. See ya around!
Welcome back, friendo.
View attachment 50743 Hey everyone! Got another batch of videos for ya. This time it's Kingdom Hearts 0.2 in 4K! This is the first game in the series that was made with HD/4K in mind, so you'll really notice the difference here: all that fine texture detail looks beautiful. And as a first for us, all real-time cutscenes run at 60 frames per second. Unfortunately this game has a considerable number of pre-rendered scenes so this only applies to about half of them. But it's very exciting dipping our toes into the new world of 60FPS. Maybe we'll see more of that in the future... To account for double the number of frames, I had to double the bitrate in order to preserve video quality, so just bear in mind these files are going to be on the chonky side. You can download these gorgeous, silky-smooth cutscenes here: Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage- (4K)(60FPS)(No Subtitles)(Music Toggle) Other features of these videos include: -Opening movie upscaled to 4K (using Topaz A.I. Gigapixel V3.1.1) -Credit text from Opening movie removed. Possble thanks to the textless version of the OP that Square Enix uploaded to YouTube. (Can also download the version with text) -No subtitles -Dual audio tracks: one standard, and one without background music Check out our full Cutscene Archive to download scenes from all throughout the series. More to come, enjoy!
It was a mod I created (with a lot of help from more competent people :P). There's a version for most games, including BBS. You can find the download from my nexus page.
I do have plans for it, I'm just not sure when. It'll either be the next one I do or the one after KH2. KH2 is giving me a little grief cause it has stuttering issues, and BBS may or may not have its own set of issues. Either way it will be at least a few months away, as it takes a while to record and edit.
View attachment 50734 Hey everyone! Two days ago marked the 19th anniversary of the original Kingdom Hearts game's release in North America. And with fortuitous, only slightly delayed timing, I just finished my most recent project: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix cutscenes in 4K! Just like our recent 358/2 Days and ReCoded releases, they have some really cool features: no subtitles, and an additional audio track that has the background music turned off, so you can isolate the dialog/sound effects. And since this was captured from the PC release I took advantage of a couple texture mods. I used the HD Textures mod by TieuLink to make things look even crisper, and the Vanilla Heartless mod by DaniZaya to restore the Heartless to their original, non-Final Mix color palette. Also of note, the music toggle was made possible by TopazTK's Re-Fixed mod by allowing the game's volume sliders to fully mute the BGM when set to 1). And I personally created a mod to Disable Subtitles. And finally, the pre-rendered Opening, Ending, and Secret Endings have all been upscaled to 4K using machine learning software (Topaz A.I. Gigapixel V3.1.1). Meaning the overall quality should be higher than in the actual game! Due to the larger file size of these vids, we couldn't include the option to download all of them at once. You will have to download each individually. Apologies for the inconvenience, but I promise they're worth it ;) You can download these absolutely stunning scenes here: Kingdom Hearts Cutscenes (4K)(no subtitles)(music toggle) I'm particularly excited about this release as it's a bit of a turning point for us. From here on, our focus is on high-end videos with the absolute clearest quality. 4K resolution is a huge part of that, but we've also moved on to a new video codec. The H265 codec uses a more complex form of compression, which gives us a massive boost in quality without having unreasonably large files (though don't get me wrong: they're still 3-4 times larger than our 1080p vids). Unfortunately this makes them a bit less compatible. I highly recommend using VLC Player for viewing purposes. If your video editing software is on the older side (more than 5 years old) it may not support them. If this is the case you'd either need to upgrade your software, find a plug-in that fixes it, or re-encode the videos to H264. If you go with the latter, Handbrake is an amazing video encoder (in fact it's what I used for these cutscenes). It can even preserve multiple audio tracks (which most/all future videos will have, in the form of the music toggle). Just go to the Audio tab in Handbrake and click Add Track>Add All Remaining Tracks for each vid. Had a lot to cover there lol The next announcement will be more brief. Enjoy!
View attachment 50697 Hey all, we'll be going offline for a bit tomorrow. Maintenance will start around 7:00 PM Eastern, maybe a bit later, and will last several hours. We'll keep you updated over Discord once it's back up, or if there are any delays. Thanks for your patience, see you on the other side!
View attachment 50691 View attachment 50692 Hey gang, got something special for you today! Definitely a game-changer for video editors. We've updated the Cutscene Archive with new versions of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded scenes. They're direct rips from 1.5/2.5, which means no subtitles. But cooler than that, these scenes have multiple audio tracks: one normal, and one that has sound effects and voices, but no background music! This is a first for us, and I'm sure editors will love it. It's definitely extra work muting the sound in-game then re-adding it manually in Premiere. But I really like the end result. If you just plan on watching them, I recommend VLC Player since it always defaults to the standard track, whereas other players will sometimes default to the music-less version (though if that happens you can always go to the Audio section of your video player and manually switch it). Unfortunately YouTube doesn't appear to have multi-track audio support (at least for normal users), so these will probably stay download-only for the time being. Here they are, by the way: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (No Subtitles)(Music Toggle) Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (No Subtitles)(Music Toggle) Quick note, Re:Coded still has quite a few scenes with baked-in music that I couldn't remove (all ones from the old DS game, and a handful that are new to 2.5). 358/2 Days thankfully only has one scene with this issue (the Xion fight that was absent from the original PS3 release). In the future I'd like to give this BGM treatment to all the games (perhaps in 4k *hmm*), but that'll take a little while.
Apologies for the delay, I changed it now :)
You forgot Blaine, the most important one :P
