Really? 'Cause when I held the buttons down when changing maps right when the screen goes black, it stays black. So, should I just use these for boss battles or what?

OK, I have a bit of a problem. I tried the Mickey and Riku in Hollow Bastion w/ Flying Mickey and Infinite Time (This is before I fight Demyx) and when I open my save, when the picture comes up, it looks like I immediately reverted from Valor Form. So when I try the L1 L2 R1 R2 Triangle Circle thing, the picture stays black. I also tried this with the Anti-Form w/ Reaction Commands and Infinite Time to make sure it wasn't just that, and when I open my save, when the picture comes up, it looks like I immediately reverted from Anti-Form. Is this supposed to happen? Or should I just delete all my saves and start over from the beginning?
