If BBS ends 10 years before KH1, and Kairi was sent out 9 years before KH1, then that estimates Xehanort's time with Ansem to be one year (assuming that Terra is Xehanort). So he managed to gain Ansem's trust, convert the apprentices, and then summon the heartless in one year. Works fast, doesn't he?

Do you think he turned Kairi's grandmother into a Heartless before sending Kairi to Destiny Islands?

If we're assuming that Aqua is linked through heart and/or soul to Kairi, like we believe Ven is linked to Sora, then it would make sense that Namine should look like Aqua. Except that Namine is a special Nobody.

-Master Ansem thought she wasn't a true Nobody.
-She's a witch whose able to control Sora's memories.
-She comes from a princess of heart.
-She was created when Kairi's heart less Sora's body, unlike the other Nobodies.

I think the last one is especially important, because I've heard rumors that Xemnas is also considered a 'special' Nobody. If Xehanort II really had Master Xehanort's heart or soul in Terra's body, then it would also be an instance of the wrong heart leaving the wrong body and creating a 'special' nobody.

I'm not entirely sure I want to believe that Aqua has a connection to Kairi. But I do see an opportunity for it to happen. Aqua's armor is found at Radiant Garden, the same place where Kairi lived. Perhaps Aqua fell to Radiant Garden the same time Xehanort did.

It's probably just a symbolic similarity. I do have another theory, but I haven't put it together enough to show it.

I like your thoughts on how body, soul, and heart act independently, and mixed together. I agree with your theories on Ven's heart and soul going into Sora. I haven't seen anyone suggest that Terra's heart went into Riku before, and I like the idea.

The dark figure in the suit was probably Master Xehanort's apprentice. And he may have been overcome with darkness:

Elderly man (Xehanort): "The person who has been tied to the darkness doesn't have the qualification to use the keyblade."

Elderly man (Xehanort): "The man is a demon who has already been tied to the darkness."

Elderly man: "Please, I ask of you to correct my mistake!"

    Quoted from: http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=28211

If we go with the theory that Master Xehanort took over Terra's body, and Terra became the second Xehanort/Ansem, then maybe Riku is given this suit to symbolize that he is becoming overcome with the darkness. And perhaps it also means that he was 'like an apprentice' to Ansem.

I agree that maybe Ven's heart was injured and Terra put it in Sora as a way to keep it safe. It could explain why Roxas ended up looking so similar to Ven.

A note of interest: this blog translation mentions the image of Ven we're talking about.

o Ven is watching from a similar coast looking down. He has little expression on his face. This place isn't Destiny Islands. It's Twilight Town (?) because it's evening.
Ven: "Because he's a friend, please erase me."

I'd like to believe that Sora is a reincarnation of Ven, but that's been made impossible now that we know Sora was four when Ven was fighting against Xehanort.

This theory makes the most sense to me. Maybe they needed to put Ven's heart somewhere safe after he was frozen. And Sora does have a history holding other people's hearts.

Just to clarify, the one who looks like Roxas, is actually Terra?! And the older one, the one most people believe became the second Xehanort, is actually Ven?

This is all a lot to think about. But there was a recent trailer where the images of Sora, Roxas, and Terra flash across the screen with the message "with who does the next story lie?"

It makes sense if we say Terra chose Riku as the heir of his keyblade, and then Sora received the keyblade instead because Riku's heart became weak. But why would Roxas be asking Sora, "Why did he chose you?" To me, the nuance of the question isn't why was Sora chosen over Riku, but why Sora was chosen over Roxas. It feels like he's yelling over the unfairness of "Why do you get to exist, but not me?"

Also, Roxas may have visited the Room of Sleep. He was an Organization member after all.

Yay, you've brightened the thread! :D

Roxas, without Sora's memories, does have a slightly different personality. So I could see the third piece of a person being memories/personality/spirit/soul. Nomura's odd use of term soul can fit personality, memories, individuality.

Heh, going through old posts is so much fun. Did anyone guess that these came from the FM2 secret ending?

The footage that was used for the Roxas and Sora fight in Kingdom Hearts II TGS 2005 PV was never used, but it looked so cool. Surrounded by Nobodies, and then charging at each other... *_*

And they placed DiZ in the computer room, instead of the musty room.

This makes sense! You aren't able to access the battle with the Lingering Spirit until after you've defeated Xemnas, correct? Because the Lingering Spirit doesn't exist until after Terra's Nobody was destroyed! That makes so much sense!

If we put a dark keyblade in Kairi's hands, we know that she wouldn't let any darkness in the keyblade corrupt her, because she's pure. If we had the evilest weapon of all time, and we HAD to give it to someone, who would it be safest with? Someone pure of heart, like Kairi. Or someone extremely good like King Mickey. So what everyone is trying to say is that Aqua having the dark keyblade may imply that she is the one least likely to use it for evil.

But I kind of like your spin. None of Aqua's actions have pointed that she might be evil, but if there was a hidden evil character, she would probably be the one everyone least expects.

Well, she mostly tried to protect her companions. So you want to prove that she might be evil spy, eh Higher Being? Or just that she used darkness?

Thirteen, have you read Kanji's Awakening theory? He goes into an idea that could fit her spirit being in the armor.

Ha, your giant Awakening theory may be thirty pages. I considered it a good long read, and I didn't mind the length myself. ;) We're both inclined to long posts.

Thanks, the reference helps. I'll check the Secret Reports. And Baldy's memories would be left behind, of course.

I see what you're getting at. It's a cool idea. Do you think this is something that he was born with, something he aquired with the keyblade, or maybe on his journies?

I think Xemnas was addressing the person who wore the armor. This could be a clue that Xemnas knew Aqua, since it was her armor. I think the only time you would address armor as "old friend" is if the armor is your own, and Xemnas probably can't fit into Aqua's armor. It would be a tight fit.

I'm glad you and Kanji think that way. It's because Nomura was so tricky when introducing Roxas that I feel able to consider that Ven, Roxas, and Sora might be different forms of the same person. And I understand that Xehanort truly would be a new person if we follow the Baldy/Terra theory.

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't ME you were yelling at. I have read the interviews stating the knights are all new characters. Are we all on the same page now?

What if Xehanort's Heartless was the heart of Baldy? When the mind switch happened, Xehanort could have been Baldy's memories and heart with Terra's body. Baldy's body probably died or became a dusk, while Terra's memories and heart became the Lingering Sentiment. So Terra's heart wouldn't be engulfed in darkness.

I'm not going to push the idea that Chasers are the third being. I believe Chaser is the name of the people who created the Keyblades. The third being may have a different name, like Dis-Soul. (That may be a letter scramble.)

Maybe Nomura hadn't come up with the idea of Ven being in Sora yet. I don't think the "Ansem isn't really Ansem" thing was originally planned either. Nomura has stated that "half was thought up back in the first game, another half was thought up once we started working on KHII." (Ctrl+F "One of the surprises") So there's room for some things to not match up.

Interesting. But I'm confused. Sora IS Ven's armor? Or he has it? It's there but we just can't see it? It's in him like Kairi's heart was?

How far are you pushing "haven't met before"? Ven isn't Roxas, but one of them could be a part of the other. Same with Terra. Do you believe that Terra and Xehanort probably aren't the same person?

Twilight Town exists between the light and dark realm, so it's residents would fall between light and dark. The original characters for that world could be brown by majority. Hayner and Pence have brown eyes. Olette's are green. I would disregard Seifer and his gang, since they are based in different games. Profile pictures. Maybe that will help.

Why are my posts always so long? I can't seem to keep my mouth shut.

RikuNotRikku, I got the PM. I’ve neglected my inbox this week, sorry. I’ll PM you with my reply. Sorry for harassing you Kanji. *winks suggestively*

Roxas should be able to merge with Sora whether he’s a traditional Nobody or not. There has been doubt about whether Namine was truly a Nobody, but she was still able to join with Kairi. I don’t know if Namine was a creature of Memory (Mind/Soul), or just some really bizarre incident of Kairi’s pure heart coming out of Sora’s body, but either way she was able to return.

Roxas could be a strange hybrid too. But he’s enough of Sora to return to Sora. And what if there is a further link between Sora and Ven? Perhaps Sora is a reawakening of Ven. What if the Room of Awakening deals in rebirth?

On a separate issue: let’s say that the ghost of Terra that we fight in FM2+ is the Memory of Terra, after his body was taken over. What would happen if this Memory tried to merge with either Xemnas or Xehanort’s Heartless?
