During a X/Twitter exchange yesterday, voice actor Zach Pokres let it slip that one of the projects he has worked on recently was none other than 'Kingdom Hearts IV' (which he disclosed he had permission to mention without further detail): It is currently unknown what role Zach Pokres is playing in the game, as it can either be a major role or simply voicing NPCs. Regardless, with the recent new screenshots that were released, and the fact that English voice acting is already being done for the game, the chances of seeing much more of the game soon seems very high. EDIT: It appears the actor in question has deleted the Tweet. Reasons are unknown, as no comments have been made by the actor, but there's a good chance Square-Enix/Disney retracted their permission to allow Zach to mention KH4. Either way, for proof of the Tweet, please check out the video below:
Not long after the official cancellation of 'Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link', Square-Enix decided to release a couple of screenshots of 'Kingdom Hearts IV' to reassure fans that the game is still being worked on, and will be coming. Check out the new screenshots below: View attachment 50929 While the screenshots don't reveal much new information (other than what's already known about the game since the first trailer back in 2022), it does show an updated UI, and hints at the possibility of playing as King Mickey in some segments of the game. Besides the screenshots, a message was also provided to fans, letting them all know that they are indeed heard, and the developers are working hard on making the game. Check out the message below: Source
Yeah, I have to say... this really sucks. I feel awful for the devs who worked so hard on it and have to stop now. I just hope it can still survive in some other format in the future...
After being delayed last November, it has been officially announced today that the mobile game 'Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link' has officially ceased development, with Square-Enix assuring fans that work on the highly anticipated 'Kingdom Hearts IV' is still underway. Square-Enix's announcement of the game's cancellation can be viewed below: Given the apparent importance of its plot, it is currently unknown if the story of 'Missing Link' would be told in another format in the future in the lead-up to KH4.
I've been replaying all the KH games for trophy hunting as I wait for this agonizing KH4/ML drought to end, so this'll definitely be a huge help while playing BBS. Much appreciated!
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of 'Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep', series director, Tetsuya Nomura, provided some insight one of the important elements in the game (and the series as whole), and that is the infamous crossroads where important events occurred (and hint of potentially what's to come). Although initially scheduled to be released in 2024, it has been announced today by Square-Enix that the latest mobile entry in the Kingdom Hearts series, 'Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link', won't be released before the end of the year, with the development team deciding to delay it after initially preparing for its launch: At the moment, it is currently unknown when we'll hear any further updates on the game.
View attachment 50894 In a recent interview with Young Jump magazine, Kingdom Hearts series director, Tetsuya Nomura, got a chance to talk a bit about the series, discussing things such as the deeper meaning behind the logo change for KH4, how much information is shared with his staff regarding the plot and characters, and when he sees himself retiring (and how the future of Kingdom Hearts factors into that). Please check out the translated interview below (courtesy of KH13):
In a surprise move, Disney and Square-Enix today have released the soundtracks of 358/2 Days, Re:coded, Birth by Sleep, and Dream Drop Distance to streaming services (Amazon Music, Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music), giving fans the chance to stream many great tracks from these games, many of which haven't been included in the HD 1.5 and 2.5 OSTs! The tracks for Days, Re:coded, and BBS are compiled under the same album, while the tracks from DDD are in a separate album. Be sure to check it out if you have any of the above listed subscription services!

Updated post with news on the one week delay for the closed beta test.
After announcing earlier this year that the Android closed beta test for 'Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link' would be postponed, Square-Enix made an announcement today that the game's closed beta test will finally be scheduled next month from April 25th till May 2nd: The lucky players who'll get to be chosen for this closed beta test will be notified sometime around April 19th! EDIT: It was announced earlier today that the Android closed beta test will be postponed a week to May 2nd to account for feedback from the previous closed beta, and that there will be a closed beta for iOS devices at the same time!
Definitely not the last lol
The 'Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link' closed beta for Android devices, which was originally scheduled for January 2024, has been postponed until this spring per the game's official X/Twitter account, attributing the delay to needing additional time to further refine the game: We'll be sure to let you know as soon as a specific date for the Android closed beta is announced.
2023 for me was the year of PS5... finally managed to grab one last spring and have been loving it ever since! My first game on the system was Hogwarts Legacy, which I enjoyed quite a lot, giving me the true Hogwarts video game experience I've been longing for ever since I first got into Harry Potter over two decades ago. For my favorite game of the year, I'm torn between Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Spider-Man 2. I felt both were very compelling games and great additions to the Star Wars and Marvel lore. Favorite soundtrack, gonna go with Assassin's Creed: Mirage, though I'm probably biased due to the soundtrack's Middle Eastern feel (and me bring from the region definitely helped the music resonate with me). Favorite multiplayer... I don't play multiplayer games lol (but I'll get back to you on that after Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link is released)
