Yeah, so Aqua gave up her heart to Ven. Which would explain why Ven has two hearts and could give one to Roxas. Or how ever that works, other people have that all figured out. Then Terra tries to bring Aqua back, it fails and he is sent into darkness. After that, he becomes Xehanort and we understand BBS.
While I was doing a homework assignment using Kingdom Hearts, I came across a very interesting scene in Hollow Bastion. Yeah I feel like a nerd using Kingdom Hearts for a school project. Anyways, Hollow Bastion: First Visit minute 13:25-end. Riku talks about how Kairi is a sleep and the only way she can be awakened is by her heart. Which we all know is in Sora. The only way to wake up kairi is for Sora to stab himself with the artificial Keyblade. That released Kairi's heart and Sora's heart. Then Sora turned into a heartless for a short period of time, and Kairi woke up and was reborn. So the facts (or observations) we can get from this are: 1) When person A gives their heart away they go to sleep. This may only be when a person willingly gives up their heart. 2) They can only wake up when they get their heart back. 3) If person B has the heart of person A, the only way to give person A back their heart is by also giving up their heart. Person B then turns into a heartless and fall into darkness. So I was thinking, what could birth by sleep mean? Then I remembered those three facts and started to ponder. Did someone have their heart taken from them (like a princess of heart) and someone gave up their heart to revive her. A lot like what Sora had to do. So that may explain why Terra turned into Xehanort. He gave up his heart and fell into darkness. He then woke up as Xehanort. Also that would explain why Riku/Ansem knew all about "waking up". If that theory is true. So what do you guys think? Is this a random piece of information that has no connection to BBS or do you guys have theories and this may help prove them? Honestly, I have no idea how to use this information but hopefully someone out there does.
When I first watched the cut scene, I thought that he was just like the Guardian heartless that protects Ansem. So it may just be that Master Xehanort created a being that would protect him and help fight with him. Then Ansem used that knowledge to make the guardian.
I like watching anime and reading the manga. It’s not lazy to watch the anime either. Action movies and a lot of shonen I like to watch. I would still read the manga version of it but I like to watch the anime because the action scenes are much better. But with Shojos it is better to read the manga because it goes more into character depth. So to me, its not bad doing one or the other but its not being lazy to watch the anime because some scenes may be better animated. Hopefully that helped alittle.

Yeah I need to change that to the room of sleep. A while after I posted it, I watched one of the clips and remembered it was the room of sleep. So I made a new theory that makes more sense. I just posted another theory on how Terra went to the dark side to save his friends. Just like how Riku went to save Kairi. So I do believe that BBS is almost a mirror to the first Kingdom Hearts.
I recently re watched some cut scenes and reread the Ansem reports and started to form ideas using other people’s ideas. The questions am making theories on are 1a) Terra is Xemnas/Xehanort b) The connection between Castle Oblivion and the room of sleep 2) How Ven's heart is in Sora 3) What happened to Aqua -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are the facts that help prove of the Theories that I am about to present. Secret Ansem Report 10 I believe that Naminé was born as a special type of nobody when Sora attacked himself with the Keyblade, causing his and Kairi's hearts to leave their bodies simultaneously. Naminé emerged as Kairi's Nobody...but the body and soul necessary to exist as a Nobody belonged to Sora. When a person's heart is stolen, a Heartless is born with no sense of self, and the body and soul left behind give rise to a Nobody.But what if one willingly releases one's heart from one's body? Sora and Xehanort retained their selfhood even after becoming Heartless. Then there are Kairi and Naminé. Kairi was exceptional for having had no darkness within her heart. Also exceptional was that her heart, once freed, migrated to a new vessel—Sora. There is also the cut scene "The New Headquarters". The conversation between Zexion and Xigbar about the secret of Xemnas and the room of sleep. I suggest watching it to remember everything about the conversation ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1a) How Terra is Xehanort. Near the end of BBS after ven gave his heart away Terra was at a crossroads. He wanted his friend back really badly and didn’t know how to get him back. So he went to Master Xehanort because he probably knew how to bring him back. So Terra is doing these actions because of his friend, not because he is evil. Its just like what Riku did in the first Kingdom Hearts and Riku and Terra are very similar. Then Terra lost his memories from the darkness or by Aqua or some other source. After he lost his memories Mater Xehanort told him that his name (terra's name)was Xehanort and to seek Kingdom Hearts and the door of awakening to bring back his memories to save his friend. (Master Xehanort is using Terra for his own evil purposes, probably to get Kingdom Hearts). So that would be way Xehanort betrayed Ansem, to get more power to rescue Ven and maybe Aqua. 1 b) Xigbar and Zexion were wondering the connection between Castle Oblivion and the room of Sleep. Sora got his memories back because Namine helped him while he was asleep for a while. The Key words are Namine and sleep. Xemnas wanted to do testing about memories so he could bring back his own. So he sent some of him members and started doing research about memories at Castle Oblivion with Namine. They found out about sleeping and how that helps with memory. So then Xemnas was using the room of Sleep to try to bring back his lost memories. He started to remember Aqua and that’s why he was talking to her and calling her friend. He still has a lot to remember so that is why he is doing more tests at Castle oblivion and sleeping more. On a side note, he is probably talking to Master Xehanort in the Room Of Sleep and learning about the past. Also i am guessing that Master Xehanort will be the villain in Kingdom Hearts 3. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) Ven willingly gave his heart to Sora. Ven probably knew his time was near so he gave his heart to who he thought will be the next hero whiich was Sora. Sora then had 3 hearts inside of him and that would be how Kari, Sora and Roxas all got a heart. I am guessing Ven didnt want to give his heart to the darkness because he didn’t want to be a pawn for Master Xehanort so he choose to give his heart (power) to the next generation. So then they could fight and destroy Master Xehanort. (This sounds a lot like Naruto btw......) He willingly gave up his heart so no heartless or nobody was created. This was one of Ansems biggest questions on what happens when someone chooses to give up their heart. Also Master Xehanort probably told Terra that Ven died but can get his heart back instead of Ven giving away his heart. So that is why Terra went to Master Xehanort because he didn’t know what Ven did. This is probably all according to Master Xehanorts plan. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) What became of Aqua? I have 2 theories behind this. 1. She became a heartless and her nobody is the 14th member of the organization. Or she became a special nobody and her heart went into Kairi or something. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So it is finally done, my second theory. Heartless*: Thanks, I was just thinking about this for a while and I finally decided to create an account and I posted it. dj rvr: Thank you, and I rewatched some of the cut scenes. Then I realized that I was thinking about the room of sleep because that is where Aqua's armor is. But, I was just thinking that BBS could be about the room of awakening and why Ansem then sealed off the room of sleep and may have hid the room of awakening because something horrible went on. Lastly, I think that is a possible theory about Ven's heart and that would still go with my theory because that may be why Ansem sealed off those rooms.
I first like to say I am new here so i am sorry if this has been done before. Also thank you for reading. I was trying to figure out what the phrase Birth By Sleep meant and how it would apply to the game. The word sleep has a few definitions. Many of these apply to the game Kingdom Hearts. 1. To take the rest afforded by a suspension of voluntary bodily functions and the natural suspension, complete or partial, of consciousness; cease being awake. 2. Botany. To assume, esp. at night, a state similar to the sleep of animals, marked by closing of petals, leaves, etc. 3. To be dormant, quiescent, or inactive, as faculties. 4. To be careless or unalert; allow one's alertness, vigilance, or attentiveness to lie dormant: While England slept, Germany prepared for war. 5. To lie in death: They are sleeping in their tombs. I thought of 5 examples where they use different forms of the word sleep and being born from sleep. I arranged them from #1 being the most important and #5 being the least important. 1 and 2 could be swapped around because #1 is more of the literal meaning and #2 is more of the practical meaning for the game. 1) The biggest example o being born from sleep in the game is where Sora was sleeping at the end of COM. At the end of his slumber Roxas went back inside of Sora. Sora then became a brand new person and he was reborn from his sleep. This could apply to Birth By Sleep by having Ven sleeping or being in a coma and Aqua becoming one with him because he dies. ( I don’t think that will happen but i am just using it for a comparison) 2) Riku was also reborn by sleep. Riku was not the one sleeping but the thing inside of him was. The Darkness inside of his heart was sleeping but it slowly woke up and took control of Riku. By having the darkness wake up it consumed him and Riku was reborn into a different person. This also applies in the second game where Riku turns into "Ansem" and he lets the darkness take over. This could very well be what the game Birth By Sleep is all about. Either Terra, Aqua or even Xehanort could be reborn from the darkness inside of them. That would explain how Xehanort became evil and wanted to bring Kingdom Hearts. I think this is the most possable and pracical use of the phrase birth by sleep. 3) The room of awakening may play a huge role in the next game. In order to reborn you need to wake up from you sleep. The room of awakening may be the room where Xehanort first started to study the heart and heartless and then things progressed from there. 4) The princesses of Heart were all sleeping in order to open the Keyhole in Hollow Bastion. In Birth By Sleep they may have people sleeping in order to open up the first keyhole in a world and Ven, Aqua and Terra want to stop that. That would also be a interesting plot to the game. 5) Just on a side note Kingdom Hearts 1 and Kingdom Hearts 2 began with people sleeping and their adventures came after they woke up. Sora thought he was dreaming and later woke up to find riku heading for the darkness. Roxas has a few dreams about sora. So I believe the theme of heart and sleep weave though all games of Kingdom Hearts. So in conclusion being " Born by Sleep" could mean many things in the realm of Kingdom Hearts.
