View attachment 50424 The battles wre not even a minute in, and a loud buzzer sounded. "AND LAGUNA IS OUTTA THERE!" Pain yelled. "Looks like Jecht is gonna show mercy!" "He barely laid a scratch on him before going down.!" Panic added The crowd chanted Jecht's name as the victor sat down with his legs crossed waiting for his next opponent. Lagun'as unconcious body disappeared in a puff of black smoke and was brought to the waiting room of losers. 1) Jecht ████████████████████ VS 5) Laguna ELIMINATED "In the fourth bracket, Hercules quickly ducked out of the way, only getting lightly singed by the Ice spell. "I couldn't agree more. I need that card badly. But I refuse to be given it without a fair fight. A true hero earns his victory!" As he said this, hercules drew his sword and tried to bend it. Struggling, the crowd began to laugh. "Looks like wonder boy can't is having some trouble!" Pain blared as he watched the fights. "Right no demi-god strength..." Hercules sighed. "Fine... We'll do it the hard way...." Hercules ran at full speed toward Faust, throwing his sword straight at the magician. 7) Hercules ██████████████████ VS 12) Faust ████████████████████ "In bracket five, Alex looked around at the walls surrounded the two. He looked back up to AJ and held his hands up in a peaceful attempt. "Look... I don't know who you are, but I know you're with the SOS. Just tell me who else entered the tournament and I'll let you win." He looked around to see who else was listening, but he kept his voice nice and low. "Do we have a deal?" 11) AJ ████████████████████ VS 15) Alex ████████████████████ "In bracket Six, The boy tilted his head at Stratos' question. "Fight?Oh... I was hoping we could just, y'know, talk. I mean nothing super personal about backstory or whatever, just more of a Q & A really. Like what was it like in the realm of darkness? No wait, How was the mark of mastery? Oh wait wait wait, What's your favorite world you've been to! Personally, I liked your adventures in Ohana Island, but I gotta say, I have a soft spot for Camelot." He stopped as he looked more down at his shoes. "Oh geeze I'm rambling again. Sorry, I know I ask a lot, I'm just so curious to know you guys better!" 10) Stratos ████████████████████ VS 16) The short guy in the hood with the tail ████████████████████ In the lucky bracket seven, Fang leaned on her spear. "Well well, you finally learned how to be a big girl, huh?" She twirled it around her weapon as she placed it firmly on the ground. "Shame really... Because I'm about to make you feel real small." Fang quickly kicked up he spear and threw it at an alarming speed, Karina only barely managing to evade it. As Karina looked back at the spear, Fang quickly ran to her and decked her in the nose with her elbow, before recovering her weapon. "Another thing you should know... I fight dirty" she grinned. Karina wiped the blood from her nose and summoned her keyblade. Throwing it straight forward, only for Fang to dodge it. As she moved back into her fighting stance, the keyblade came back like a boomerang from the strike raid and knocked Fang in the back of the head. Karina caught it, flashing her own grin. "So do I..." 3) Fang ███████████████ VS 8) Karina ██████████████████ Vincent lifted his guns and began to open fire on Kel, raining down bullets like rain. 4) Vincent ████████████████████ VS 13) Kel ████████████████████ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile in the underworld, Luna had opened the gate. The new surroundings were dark and gloomy, with an everlooming fog surrounding them. The colors were faded gray and blue stone all around them, as before them was a large gate into the inner sanctum of the underworld. But what was even more surprising was a giant black, three headed dog sleeping in front of it. As it snored, the stench from it's breath as it exhaled was almost unbearable. The sound was even more unpleasant. But something about the sight of it, trying to chase something was somehow asorable. "I vote we don't wake it up..." Aux whispered to the others. He began to slowly move around the dog, signalling the others to follow.
All the tournament combatants were transported in a puff of black smoke as they were teleported to the main stage. The stage for the tournament was defeated into 8 separate arenas. Combatants were cut off from communicating with players that weren't in their sector, making the battle very closed off, except for the audience. As all sixteen fighters were brought into the arena, the crown let out a tremendous cheer. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! WELCOME TO...... THe UNDERBOOOOOOOOOWWL!!" Pain yelled into his underworld themed megaphone. The crowd cheered louder, as the fighters were put face to fave with their opponent. "We have the living! We have the dead! We have.... CARNAAAAGEEE! View attachment 50424 The crowd was unanimously hyped for the fights ahead. Pain and Panic took turns announcing. "In the first Bracket! The man clad in Denim and bullets! Laguna!" "And He'll be fighting the only dead guy to pass the preliminaries! The Manly! The Deadly! JECHT!" As the crowd cheered on, a giant scoreboard with health bars was displayed. Laguna rolled his shoulder back, now ready to be serious. 1) Jecht ████████████████████ VS 5) Laguna ████████████████████ "In the second bracket, it's the Mercenary who would sell his own mother for the right price! The deadly Ninja... SHADOW!" "Well... he's not wrong," Shadow shrugged. "And his opponent will be the guy with one arm! Let's give a hand for Beuce!" There was more clapping as it was apparent not much was known about the SOS. Shadow chuckled at Beuce's introduction. 9) Beuce ████████████████████ VS 6) Shadow ████████████████████ In the third bracket, it's the Centaur of Stomp! The monster that'll kick you in the head two times over! Nessus!" A large blue, monstrous centaur cracked his knuckles in front of Faust. "Let's make this quick, 'two-legs'..." "And he'll be fighting the spiffy fella in the black coat! Luther!" 2) Nessus ████████████████████ VS 14) Luther ████████████████████ "In the fourth bracket, It's the town favorite and peoples's champion! Hercules!" "And his challenger is Faust! Who we've been told is a street magician!... Wrong contest buddy..." Panic chuckled. Hercules drew his sword as he prepared to fight. "Sorry.... But I really need to win..." 7) Hercules ████████████████████ VS 12) Faust ████████████████████ "In bracket five, we have the blande kid with the blank face! AJ!" "And he'll be fighting the guy who dresses too loudly! Alex!!!" Alex looked up and scoffed at his intro. "Hey! SCREW YOU!" He looked back to see he was fighting one of the SOS members. He sighed, whispering to himself; "Great, Just great...." 11) AJ ████████████████████ VS 15) Alex ████████████████████ "In the Hades bracket of SIX, we have the lean cuisine fella with the black hair... Stratos!" "And he's up against.... wait, did this guy even write his name?.... Uhh... the short guy in the hood with a tail?!" The crowd clapped... but in a very confused way. The hooded figure in front of Stratos giggled in an almost... excited fashion. 10) Stratos ████████████████████ VS 16) The short guy in the hood with the tail ████████████████████ In the lucky bracket seven, we have some good looking dames!" Lots of hooting and hollaring followed. "Lady number 8 is angry and likes to take charge! Give it up for Karina!" "And she'll be fighting the tall glass o' wine in front of here! The ever so sleak and sharp; Fang!" Clapping continued as Fang look disgusted. "Stupid little pig man... I'll be sure to knock him double for that one." She looked in front of her as she twirled her spear in preparation. "Do I know you?" she asked, curiously looking at Karina. 3) Fang ████████████████████ VS 8) Karina ████████████████████ "And finally! In bracket seven is the creepy! The gloomy! and the super spooky!..." Vincent looked at Kel and whispered with his hand; "Don't worry, I don't think you're spooky-" "-VINCENT!" Pain finished. "Oh..." Vincent hung his head down. "And he'll be fighting the kid with the spiky blue hair... Kel!" 4) Vincent ████████████████████ VS 13) Kel ████████████████████ With akk combatants on the board, Pain continued to explain the rules. "Remember! You can do whatever you want in these fights as long as you STAY IN YOUR BRACKET! That means no flying or escaping the arena!" "If you manage to kick your opponent out of the arena! You win by knock out! If you can get them to yield, You win by default! And if you kill your opponent, well... They can try again next year!" The crowd laughed at the very dark joke. "Your health is tracked and every round you'll be able to replenish a bit of health. So it pays not to get hit, folks!" "Now with all that out of the way, let the tournament begin in 3.... 2.... 1.... KILL EACH OTHER!" The crowd roared as the battles began...

"Oh! That'll be-" Panic wasprepared to ask for the entry fee before being nudged hard by Pain. "Oh! You're in luck! Anyone carrying a keyblade gets to move automatically to the next round! Right Panic?" he winked "Oh! R-r-right! That's right! Free entrance to the key holders!" He smiled, giving them their numbers. "What! No fair..."Laguna sighed. He was immediately pushed aside by a man in ninja garbs, making a scene out of it. "WHAT?! I COULDVE GOT IN FREE!" The man yelled, his doberman barking alongside him. The cash hording man himself was Shadow. He turned to the group and spotted Beuce. "Oh... of course it's you," he sighed. His dog; Interceptor began to growl. "Down boy..." he glared. "For now..." "What are you complaining about? You already passed the pre-lims..." Laguna replied, pointing to the "6" on his shoulder. "Yeah... but I could've done it FOR FREE!" he argued. Panic finished writing down the numbers and slapped them on the SOS wielder's arms. "And voila!" Pain jeered. The numbers were as followed; 8 - Karina 9 - Beuce 10 - Stratos 11 - AJ 12 - Faust 13 - Kel "Stupid politics..." Shadow said as he angrily marched off. As he walked off, a tall, muscular hero with orange hair and greek armor strolled to the front. "You seem... familiar..." Vincent replied to the hero. "Yeah... he's kinda the town hero. You know.. The one with all the statues!" Laguna said as he pointed to a large one of him in the square. "Ahh yes... That's where I know you," Vincent added. He gave a hardy salute. "Hercules is the name...Looking forward to fighting the best," he nodded whole heartedly. His smile quickly faded though. "Wish it was all just for fun though... I'll see you guys inside...." He nodded, walking into the coliseum. "What was that about?" Vincent asked. "Who cares! We got a prize to win! Let's move out!" Laguna cheered, walking behind the SOS wielders and pushing them all in. "Only 3 spots left folks! Hurry Hurry!" Pain yelled obnoxiously.
"Pleasure to meet you Stratos and Beuce," Vincent replied with a light bow. Karina was right about one thing. It had been sometime since the group left Beast's Castle. "Yes, the castle has been deserted for a while now. Ever since the Beast and his servants left, things have been rather quiet. The village carried on after Gaston's demise and the dark creatures have subsided. Feeling no need to stay I left the world. And So I've ended up here... " Vincent recalled an earlier event that happened just before Beast and the other left. "That reminds me... The beast left who new companions who said if I should find noble key wielders, to give them a message... He says; 'We are still with you.' He was a small mouse named... Mickey, I think." "Huh? That's weird, something kinda similar happened to me," Laguna replied. "Some hot headed Duck named Donald." He looked over to the registration booth. "You guys better hurry up and get through the qualifiers. The top 16 slots are almost filled up!"
"Aux" he replied to Marx. "And Trust me, none of this is sitting well at all.... I smell a trap," Aux replied. "Hades seems like he's running things around here. At least for today. And I don't know what he's planning, but if he gave you a gate into his home turf..." He paused for a moment trying to piece everything togather. "What does he have to gain by letting us down there?" he softly spoke. Hades could be in allegiance with Ursula's group. Or maybe a threat entirely on his own. No one in town seemed to worry about him, so maybe he was distracting them. But from what? "From the sounds of things, everyone seems to be in a bit of a rut. Maybe they entered the tournament to blow off steam or something. Besides, it's just the handful of us for now. Even if it's a trap, I want to see what this Hades guy is being so sneaky about. Who knows? Might even find a weakness." He looked around to see if there was anything more suspicious above ground to explore. There didn't seem to be much aside from local events. "Not like we'd be much help up here anyways. I vote we explore the underworld. Probably find an exit down there anyways. I find this group gets suspiciously lucky that way... "so who else is in?" ---------------------------------------------------------------- By the tournament entrance, Pain and Panic, were accepting bags of coins while they let contenders enter. Pain was a small, portly, obnoxious, maroon colored demon. Next to him was Panic; his fragile, timid, thin doft green counterpart. "Man! I could really get used to this gig!" Pain said, counting the money. "Yeah, Too bad Hades doesn't care about money. He'll probably make us throw it away or something when he sees how much we made," Panic sighed. "You mean... IF! He finds out how much we made..." Pain replied. "If... If is good...." he smiled, the two of them continuing their jobs. From where the SOS contenders were at the coliseum gate. a voice called out. "Faust? Is that you?" A man with long dark hair and a jean jacket came jogging up to the group. "It's me, Laguna! Remember? There was that whole thing in Atlantis with the exploding commander. Good times... But it's awesome to see you and some more of your buddies! Small worlds am I right? So you guys gonna participate in the tournament?" Laguna was talking very fast for the group to keep up. Before he continued on, a dark skinned, large muscular man walked by. He wore a red bandana under his unruly black hair, sporting a black tattoo symbol over his shirtless chest. "Well if you are, they say HE's the one to beat... His name's Jecht. Only dead guy to make it to the round of 16." Another voice caught Laguna off guard. A low, monotone melancholy voice that sounded familiar. "Depends on your definition of dead. "Whoa!" Laguna jumped back. "Who the heck are you?" "Sorry... I thought I saw someone familiar and needed to be sure," The man donned in crimson clothes turned to Karina. It was Vincent. "Seems I was correct. Pleasure to see you again madame." "Man he's smooth," Laguna spoke under his breath. "It seems much has changed since our last meeting," Vincent replied, looking at Karina's new clothes. "For the better, I hope."

Thinking about it, that's probably how Aux had been feeling most of the time. He had been focusing on helping other as more of a distraction then a kindness. He figured they were both just dealing with things in their own way. "Okay, just... Don't stray to far." He noticed that Faust, AJ, and Stratos had all left for the tournament, leaving only Kaida and Ananta remaining. He could see Ananta seemed to be going through some sort of rough time. Choosing not to let her and Kaida stew in their own heads together, he offered an alternative. "I'm going to the pier to get the others. Parrot girl, you're with me. You can find out if they're dead or evil." He mostly walked off, unsure if she would follow or not. In his mind he just wanted objectives. Something to keep him away from whatever empty feeling he was having. He managed to catch up with Luna, Marx and Steel at the pier. In his head, it seemed like he had seen everyone but Beuce since their arrival. "Good, that's everyone... Where's Beuce?" He asked. He looked down to see Luna was holding something as well. "And what's that?"
"Evil is a gray area," he replied to Ananta. Once Faust departed and after hearing everyone's input, Aux had come to a conclusion. "Still, any underworld is bound to know more about this place than we do... I was gonna head down to the pier to see if the others arrived. Maybe once we regroup, we can investigate the underworld." He ripped off the small piece of cloth he used in the last world to fashion a bandanna to return to his regular look. "Anyone who wants to is welcome to tag along.... Might as well so something while we wait for Shiro." He prepared to turn and make a line for the pier, but stopped at the sight of Kaida. She seemed a bit out of it. "Hey... you okay?" --------------------------------------- "Well well, I see my reputation proceeds me," Hades scoffed. "But to be honest babe, it's all just business... Got my own little tournament on the main land and everything. Living vs the Dead! Man-o a dead-o- It's gonna be hell on Earth, I'm tellin' yah." He stopped rambling for a moment to get to another point. "But that's all politics. Seeing as how you're tourists here, why don't I give you the world tour, huh?" He held his hand outa small keychain. "This here is a one way ticket to the underworld. Attach it to your little key-do-hickey, and presto! Living life in the afterlife am I right, kid?" He made a side elbow nudge at Marx to no avail. "Sheesh, tough crowd... Well much as I'd love to shmoose, I've got a schedule to keep with. So kick back, have fun and hey- try the food! Toodles..." He evaporated with the smoke once more giving weak, whimsical laughter.
Aux nodded along as Faust explained their other worldly escapade. He looked back again as the scale of the world was mentioned. It was definitely vast in size. "Yeah... really something when you look at it." He thought again how he mentioned they reverted to a younger age, "Wait... you all got younger?" He turned his head to Kaida and gave a chuckle. "I don't think I can picture you any shorter..." As this went on, Citzens around the local square were passing out flyers. One of them flew into Aux's face, as he shook his head and ripped it off with his hand. The flyer was hand painted in the local text which read. He read it aloud for the rest to hear. "COME FIGHT IN THE UNDERBOWL" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HADES invites you to test your skill and see if you can go the distance! His eyes were bright yellow, with his teeth, sharp and monstrous. He bore a black toga and a head full of blue flame where is hair would be. "Say, you're not my 2 o'clock..." he bluntly said, looking around. "But then again, my sundial's a bit off, so you'll have to forgive my... shall we say 'sudden appearance." He spoke quickly and to the point, moving about them aimlessly with small puffs of dark smoke following him. He looked to see if there were any more of them that left the ship. He seemed more annoyed than curious. "Sheesh, and this is all I gotta work with. Last I heard there were a dozen of you, and now I gotta go out of MY WAY TO HERD A BUNCH OF-" His voice rose for a moment, only for Hades to calm himself back down. "We got off on the wrong foot here." He extended his long, pale hand. "Hades; lord of the dead- Hi, how yah doin?"
Aux rubbed the back of his neck trying not to feel too embarrassed about it. "Yeah this world uhh... has a lot of stairs..." He looked behind him, and he was right for the most part. The city was littered with temples and gatherings for all sorts of events. The city itself however looked a little rundown. Back to the ladies' curiosity, he thought back to how his last world went. "Well we floating in space... then Castur almost killed us all.... then we were taken by space pirates... then we followed a treasure map to a planet of treasure... and then the planet blew up." He took a brief pause trying to recap anything else. "No that's pretty much it. Ignis decided to stick with em though a that puts our party at thirteen." He folded his arms as he looked to the sky. "I didnt see a third ship arrive yet. Maybe the others havent arrived yet. What happened on your world anyway?"
In following suite with Kel, Aux looked to Castur, who was beligerant to stay with for any longer than he had to. "You should follow her too..." he replied bluntly, walking in the opposite direction. "Just see what you can find out till we find the others..." He continued walking away before yelling back. "And don't touch anything! No more Castur Disasters!" He walked through the crowd of disgruntled world citizens, who were all more or less in a frenzy over some of the local events happening. He looked around to see if he could see anything eye catching, to no avail. The sun was beaming down strongly as he covered his hand in front of his face to keep alert.. As he did, he saw another ship slowly fall into the world from above. It wasn't anything high tech. Just looked like a regular pirate ship that was... glowing for some reason? He chose to follow the ship's trajectory to see where it would land and began hastily chasing it. The ship had already flown back into the air before he had time to question the pilot, but thankfully he saw familiar faces. Kaida and a few others had made it to the world. He approached the group, trying not to exhale too heavily from his lack of cardio. "Good... you made it..." He got along well with Kaida, but he was still on unfamilliar terms with Ananta, AJ, and the new masked one. " His eyes narrowed onto Faust who was juggling. "Oh good, the travelling magician puts you guys at five," he nodded. "Castur, Karina, Kel and I made it into the city as well. Not sure about the others yet... Everyone here okay?"
Balthier examined the compass Beuce was holding. "That Compass... It's Sparrow's isn't it?" He paused as he threw a line overboard to allow the SOS wielders to come aboard. "Tell you what... Seeing as how I'm the generous sort, I'll give you passage to wherever you need to go. Even give you a valuable trinket for your troubles..." OBTAINED WHEEL OF FATE KEYBLADE! LEARNED GRAVE DIGGER! "But the second I get you where you're going, I get the compass. I may not get the reward I was promised, but perhaps such a valuable possession will provide something of a bounty," he sighed. "Fran's gonna kill me knowing I didn't get the full amount. Still, better than nothing. He took the compass from Beuce and aimed it North. "It'll no doubt be a long voyage. Perhaps I'll let you off in a nearby-" Before he could finish, a large purple portal opened up in front of them, big enough to fit the ship in. "-Port..." "Seven! Six! Five! Four! Three! Two!" With Castur pressing the button, a small silence was heard in the lanes between... A trianglur portal opened up, the the explosion blasting through it. The portal was barely open for seconds longer before it closed behind them. The map, with the planet were both gone forever. "You done it! Ha ha ha!" Silver cheered. "Didn't l say they had greatness in 'em??" "Unorthodox, but ludicrously effective," Faris sighed in relief, halting the engine. "She quickle cuffed Silver before he could run off. "But that doesn't excuse you from mutiny. I should kill you," she glared, with her hand firmly on her trigger. Silver giving a loud gulp as she did, she held him at gunpoint for a few seconds. "But that's not how I do things..." She put her pistol away. "There'll be punishment though, don't you worry..." Jim and the rest of the SOS crew arrived back on the ship. "Jimmy, that was unforgettable! l know you don't like touching... but get ready for a hug, big guy, 'cause l gotta hug ya!" He gave Jim a a big hug before turning to the others. "Plenty of hugs to go around!" Aux shook his head with a hard pass. Jim gave him a quick, but genuine hug back out of appreciation. "Ha ha ha ha! Hey, you hugged me back. Oh, l promised myself l wouldn't cry." BEN began to sob as Silver cleared his throat, preparing to talk to the rest of them, "I uhh... know what that treasure did to me own head. I could feel the greed... The darkness of that obsession take me over. But that's not who I am... not anymore," He said, looking at his robotic hand. "Me heart is strong if not in the best shape. I swears by me own heart I'll do better as a Pirate and as a Cyborg!" He declared. "But lf you don't mind, we'd just as soon avoid prison. Little morphy here, he's a free spirit. Being in a cage, it'd break his heart. Morph began to blubber, looking back and forth between the crew and Silver. Seeing a new choice, Silver looked to his pet companion. "Morphy, l got a job for ya. l need you to keep an eye on these here pups. Keep em safe an' outta trouble... Can yah do that for me?" Morph nodded in delight, turning into a keychain. OBTAINED TREASURE VENTURE KEYBLADE! LEARNED METEOR! Turning to Jim, Silver spoke again. "What say you ship let me outta the vuffs and travel the stars with me, lad? You and me, Hawkins and Silver... full of ourselves and no ties to anyone! Jim chuckled. "You know, when l got on this boat... l would've taken you up on that offer in a second... but, uh, l met this old cyborg... and he taught me that l could chart my own course. That's what l'm gonna do. "And what do you see of that pal of yours?" Silver asked. "A future," Jim replied Silver chuckled. "Why... look at ya, glowing like a solar fire. You're something special, Jim. You're gonna rattle the stars, you are," He cleared his throat, before wiping away at his teary eyes. "Got a bit of grease in this cyborg eye of mine.
