Illiana watched the display in front of her as Dallben had appeared before Taran. She found it to be a little odd how Dallben had just suddenly appear, here of all places. The timing couldn't have been just a coincidence. She decided to keep her mouth shut for the time being. As Dallben and Taran continued talking, Illiana looked around the wall Dallben had led them to. She looked over to Thallasa as she revealed her current plan. Glyde was to be left behind with Dallben while the others would proceed into the castle to rescue Hen Wen. She looked over as Thallasa, Taran, Aria, and Qamar went on ahead. Illiana looked behind her once more before going on ahead. As she walked along, she held her nose as a foul scent wafted through the air. She wasn't going to ask about the smell nor make a comment. She reached into her umbrella and pulled out a nose clip and instantly clipped it to her nose. She continued walking along as Aria and Qamar made their comments about Dallben. They both basically addressed her questions so she had decided not to say anything. She just looked around her surroundings.
Velvet continued running until she had reached Aria Park along with four other strangers. She looked over at the four, still a little concerned over the earlier events but curious as to who they were. She then looked over and saw a man in elegant suit. It had appeared that he was talking to the Dottari. It had seemed that they were mad at the man. The conversation had started taking a turn for the worse. Before she knew it, hounds had been realeased and surrounded the man immediately. Two of the strangers near her had immediately ran into battle, fighting against the hounds. After a few moments of deliberation, Velvet had decided to go into battle. She readied her rapier and looked for her target. She immediately charged over to one of the hounds, managing to land a hit but it had barely made a dent. Spoiler: Amazing rolls 8 + 4 +2= 14 Hit! 2-1= 1 Damage tenouttaten MVP
Luna couldn't believe her eyes. The sight before her was tragic and just too shocking for words. Her face clouded over her expression with sadness. She had faintly heard footsteps as she walked over. In front of her laid a deer that had an arrow in its body. The poor creature had looked like it had passed a few minutes ago. She knelt down and laid the poor deer's head onto her lap. She stroked the fur on the deer's head as a sad look on her face passed through. Luna knew it was all part of a one big cycle of life. However, it still shook her to her core to see something like that. She shed a few tears for the poor creature. "I'm so sorry. I hope you find peace in the afterlife...." The white-haired princess kept stroking the fur on the deer's head as she wished for a peaceful after life for the deer. Luna: 9 Kel: 8 Aislinn: 7
Luna listened as Kel and Aislinn gave their input on the whole 'savages' situation. She looked over at Aislinn and saw she was looking a little tense. Luna ran behind her and rubbed her shoulders a little bit. "I apologize if I'm crossing any boundaries but you were looking a little tense. I just want to help everyone relax!" She smiled before releasing her shoulders. John Smith had then spoke up, giving them a bit more information about these 'savages'. "You know...indians. Copper skin. Feathers in their hair. Black hair. Can't speak a lick of English. They used bows and arrows, and live in the wilderness. Barely colonized at all. What kind of people live like that?" Luna was slightly lost as John described the Indians. She wasn't exactly sure about the name but their way of life sounded quite interesting. Living in the wilderness didn't sound too bad. It sounded quite peaceful. John had then looked at the three. "Come to think of it, you don't really match that description. A bit too pale for a savage. I should know...I've had to fight back many in the past years." Luna looked at her skin a little bit, growing a bit self-conscious about her skin. She looked over to see John gripping his gun firmly. The way he was describing them. These Indians didn't seem too harmful. Kel had then asked for more information about them. John had revealed that they were humans with the senses of wolves. Luna was still a little concerned. Maybe he was over-exaggerating about it. She doubted that they were harmful. Aislinn had then gave her input on it. She nodded her head as she listened to the conversation. Her curiosity was growing more and more about the Indians. She then opened her mouth. "I'm going to run on ahead!" Luna had then ran off away from the group, scouting on for anything unusual or dangerous. She inhaled the air of the woods. She smiled as she took a breath of fresh air. The woods that were around her was just so relaxing and calming. As she walked on, her eyes widened in shock. A loud scream had escaped her mouth at the sight in front of her. Onyx let out a sigh of relief as Auburn responded. "That's good." He walked over to her as Auburn's eyes started filling with her tears. "Leave and go where? I have no home." Auburn looked up at the man with tears running down her face. Onyx hugged her little form to his body. "It'll be alright. I promise. You wanna know why?" Onyx pulled away as he smiled at her. He went into his jacket pocket and pulled out a paper which had appeared to be an adoption form. "Because you're going to be living with me. I just finalized the adoption. I want you to join my family." He smiled as he handed her the paper. Onyx looked at the little girl before asking her. "What do you say? Would you like to become a Miyashiro?"
Luna continued to smile as Aislinn chuckled a bit. "I don't know, given everything that has been going on, I am finding it hard to relax. I would like to sort out this savage thing first, you know? Make sure that it isn't anything dangerous. Once we know maybe I can relax a little more." Luna nodded her head in agreement. "Good point! We need to make sure about that." Aislinn had then spoke up once more, putting things on a lighter note. "Sleeping under the stars sounds like it would be nice. I think that is a great idea." Luna smiled once more as Aislinn liked the sound of her idea. Kel had then brought up the topic of the 'savages' John was describing. "Speaking about those...'savages', what do you guys think they're like?" Luna crossed her arms as she pondered for a few moments. Maybe these 'savages' weren't really savages? Perhaps they were the complete opposite of how John described. "I have this feeling that maybe they're not how John and Ratcliffe described them. Maybe they're the complete opposite. It's just this feeling I'm getting. Maybe because it's these woods that's giving me this feeling. But that's just speculation. What about you guys?" She looked over at her two partners to see their view on this situation.
Luna smiled as she watched Aislinn start to relax. "I guess... Yeah it is really pretty. I don't spend a lot of time in nature like this. It is... calming, refreshing." Luna nodded her head enthusiastically as she saw the stress on Aislinn shoulders lift away. "See? Is it refreshing? A change of scenery does wonders for a person!" Luna closed her eyes and took some deep breaths as she listened to the sounds of birds chirping and water flowing. Aislinn had then spoke up. "Most areas outside of my town have been crawling with heartless for a long time. There is no going out into woods like this, and I worked so much I didn't know how to relax." Luna looked over at Aislinn as she talked about her home. Luna's smile fell a bit before picking back up. She walked over to her and laid a hand on her head. She petted her head with a smile on her face. "Well take this time to do just that! I mean look at this place! It's hard not to!" Kel had then walked over to the two ladies, joining on their conversation. Luna had clapped her hands together before speaking. "Alright! That settles it! Should we not be able to make it back to the camp.....We'll sleep under the stars!!!!" Luna smiled brightly as she spoke out her idea.
Luna nodded her head as she listened to Aislinn. "Yeah, you have a point. I'm not sure about that either but this place really takes my mind off of that." Luna continued to admire the woods around her before Aislinn had spoken up once more. "We should just be careful and not let our new status get to our head." Luna nodded her head as Aislinn gave her warnings. "Yeah. Though again, I gotta say this is one of the most breathtaking place I've been so far!" Luna smiled brightly as she looked at Aislinn.
Luna looked up at the sky once again before looking between Kel and Aislinn. She still wasn't too sure what to think about Aislinn but she definitely wanted to get to know her a little more. She walked over to Aislinn, hoping to strike up a conversation. "H-hey!" Luna rose up her hand as if to gesture 'Hello'. She smiled before opening her mouth again. "So umm...what do you think about this place?" Luna looked around her surroundings again as she asked Aislinn.
Luna looked back at Kel omce she had finished recounting some tales from home. "Sounds like a cool experience, wish I could do that myself." Luna tilted her head a bit before thinking about her next words. After a few moments, she opened her mouth. "Well, maybe this would be a good sort of opportunity to do just that! If not....well...when this is all over, I would like to you everyone else camping! It's really fun! Everyone should at least have a chance to experience it at least once!" She smiled as she looked at Kel. She started remembering some times she had with her family during their camp outs. Starting a fire, pitching up tents, making smores, and sleeping under the stars. Her smile dimmed a little at the thought of them. Her home was still in shambles. Ruins everywhere, no life to be seen or heard, especially no stars to sleep under. "Though...maybe I should wait until my home is restored at the very least....." She whispered to herself before plastering her usual smile on her face again.
Koa rubbed his temples a little bit before whispering to himself. "It's progress at least." Finlay had started to complain about the game for a little bit. Koa sighed before speaking. "Strategy doesn't have to be all brawn. Sometimes strategy can be laid out simply just like a game board." As Finlay rummaged through the other games, Koa sighed before thinking to himself. He needs to be able to calm down and realize that using brawns won't always be able to solve the problem. Koa closed his eyes as he was deep in thought before re-opening his eyes. He had then heard Finlay speak to him. "I'd like to gracefully and incredibally humbly, allow mah partner here to take over." Koa couldn't understand what was happening. "Abadawha now?" Before Koa could interject, a demonic voice had reached his ears. "You have chosen your champion. Select your challenge or face erasure!" He turned to the old man with a slightly shocked expression on his face. "Uhhh....okay then....h-how about some checkers?..Haha...ha..." Koa awkwardly laughed as he chose the next game.
Koa looked over as Finlay immediately sat down across from the elderly man. He took some deep breaths to calm himself down. He needed to trust that his partner could handle this calmly and rationally. Before he could take another deep breath, he heard Finlay's voice ring out. "Yer goin' down yah ol' fart makin' waste o' meat!" Koa immediately face-palmed as he let out a sigh. "Greeaaatt....." He let out another sigh before opening his eyes to look at the board. Finlay had then asked for his partner's assistance. "Alright. Since yah no the most about this here game, I'll let you be mah eyes and ears. If the main goal is to checkmate the king, This should be over real quick." He scratched his head a little bit before responding. "Alright that's-" Finlay had then immediately asked his first question. "Right...Now which one's the king?" Koa face-palmed once again. The elderly man had then pointed out the King's piece to his partner. Finlay had then looked over to the old man's king and picked it up. "Oh no.." Finlay had inspected the piece and then opened his mouth. "Well, I consider that to be 'checked' well enough. So... We win then?" Koa picked up his hand and once again...face-palmed. "This is going to be a looongg test..." He walked up to Finlay, immediately took the piece out of his hand, and placed it back on the man's side of the board. "That is not the way you play. Now apologize to him." He pointed to the elder as he scolded Finlay.
Luna looked over to Aislinn as she placed her hand on her shoulder. She nodded her head as she walked off with the other three. She then looked at Kel as he spoke to her. "You really do like nature Luna." She scratched her arm as she giggled awkwardly in response. She looked up at the tall trees that were around them. "Well....I've been around nature for a big chunk of my life. Sometimes, my parents would take me and my brother camping. Other times, I would be out here for either training or just be there just to appreciate it. It makes me appreciate everything Mother Nature does for us. It gives us places like this. It makes me want to protect places such as these woods, you know?" She clasped her hands together behind her as she smiled kindly. Aislinn had then asked John Smith as he was preparing for their departure. "So what exactly are we looking for, what are these savages that you speak of? You mistook us for them so they must be at least somewhat similar to you and I. Are they dangerous? Why are you so worried about them?" Luna was also curious about that as well. Just what were these 'savages'? Were they as bad he described them? Surely they were wrong about it. The girl wanted to keep an open mind about this. She didn't want to judge anything or anyone too soon.
The large man known as Ratcliffe had sounded disappointed as he spoke to the three. "It's supposed to be 'I speak English perfectly well'. While they aren't savages, they certainly don't appear to be from England, Smith." Luna was a little upset over his comment but she wasn't going to say anything that might offend anyone. John Smith had then shook his head before speaking. "You'll have to forgive him. We can come from a far away land in England. We came here to search for a new world. New adventure and land to control." Luna listened as he explained their reasoning to be in this land. Ratcliffe had then chimed in. "And any riches that come with it of course..." Luna had then opened her mouth to chime in. "But why would you want to claim these beautiful woods? Places like these should be left alone and let the lands be in peace." She looked to the two as she gave them her thoughts. John had then went on to describe these' savages'. Luna was still a little confused about it but she let him continue. Ratcliffe had then made a remark about the three standing next to John. Luna was definitely not particularly fond of how Ratcliffe went about his words. She had then decided to speak up. "Excuse me but I would appreciate it if you kept your comments to yourself. You are entitled to have your own opinions. However, it doesn't mean you shouldn't think before you speak. We are more than capable of handling ourselves. So, please keep comments like that to yourself......." She paused. "Madam." Luna turned back to John Smith with a smile on her face. John had then pulled out a fire arm before looking at the trio. "Maybe we should put that away until you really need it. I'm sure these woods are harmless. After all, violence isn't always the answer!" She smiled as she asked the man to put down his fire arm.
Koa walked along with Finlay to their test. He was actually a bit curious as to what this test would entail. He hoped that Finlay would keep himself calm and collected throughout this. As they approached the park, they had seen an elderly man with a chess board in front of him. "Is this our test? A chess game huh..." Koa was actually a little interested and a bit impressed. Finlay had then spoke to the young man. "So how does this little thinkin' game work lad?" Koa looked at Finlay before looking at the chess board. "Well, your main objective is to checkmate your opponent's king before they can checkmate your king. I've played it a couple of times but I'm still learning bits and pieces." He looked at the old man before shaking his hand. "A pleasure to meet you sir." He smiled a bit before looking at Finlay. "So....who's going to be playing?"
Illiana looked over at Qamar as she asked who would be the one to stay behind. She had went over each person's strength. Illiana had tried to keep calm as Qamar spoke. After she listed off each person, she pointed to Glyde. After she gave her opinion on the whole thing, Illiana had decided to speak up immediately. "No. I'll stay behind. The way you said that just left a bitter taste in mouth but I'm not gonna start." Illiana closed her umbrella before placing the point of it on the ground. She looked over at Thallasa before speaking up again. "If it's alright with you, I would like to stay behind. I'll make sure to keep an eye for any sign of danger." Illiana put a hand on her hip as she brought up her idea. "Glyde has some offensive and defensive spells so that should be vital for you guys. I'm more of a 'make em disappear' kind of girl. If you do end up facing the Horned King, you'll need some of it. I can't do much in terms of defense." Illiana shrugged her shoulders before looking at Thallasa once more as she stated her argument.
Illiana looked over to Thallasa as she had started going over the plan ahead. "Once we're at the castle we sit back and observe. We will look for any entrances we could sneak in through and where the guards are stationed. Naturally we will need at least one person to stay by our entry point to keep watch for anything that might come after those who go inside. Ideally we should avoid combat. We don't know the layout of the castle and getting outnumbered indoors would be terrible to say the least." She nodded her head in agreement. Before she could put her input on it. Taran had spoke up with concern filling his tone. "But we can't sit back for too long! Who knows what the Horned King could be doing to Hen Wen while we're just watching the castle!" Thallasa had immediately responded with a valid point to Taran. Illiana nodded before looking at the boy as he lowered his head and frowned. She then spoke up. "Don't start frowning. Remember what I said earlier. If you storm in, who knows what will happen to Miss Piggy? You need to calm down and think things through. Rome wasn't built in a day y'know." Illiana lifted her umbrella for a moment before setting it back down on her shoulder.
Luna sat in the boat with Kel and Aislinn for a few days as it drifted across the water. After drifting on the water for so long, the boat had finally landed on a flat shore. Luna stood up and looked around her new surroundings. "Wow! So pretty! Reminds me of home!" Luna was so fascinated by the woods that had surrounded the three. She had then heard the cheers of men just ways away from them. She looked over to see some men just few feet away from them. One of the men had looked at them before speaking to another. "Well if these are your so called 'Savages' Smith, I'll take my chances. Nothing but women and children." Luna was a little confused about it. "Savages? Who?" The man called Smith had rolled their eyes and had walked up to the group of three while he waved his arm. "Hello, my name is John Smith, from England....Do you...speak English?" Luna looked over as Aislinn and Kel had introduced themselves to John. Luna smiled as she started to introduce herself. "Hello there! My name is Luna! Pleased to meet you!" She smiled before asking a question of the young man before her. "If you don't mind me asking, why did that man call us 'savages'? We're perfectly harmless. The last thing we want to do is bring harm to anyone." Luna was a little curious and a little concerned as she asked him her question.
Noire nodded her head as the two teams had decided on the next path. "Alright then. BLAB just keep following the path and both should lead to the temple. But be warned, there are grimm around. It's not as if the guardian is going to let us walk into their temple casually." She shrugged her shoulders as she gave her warning. She then turned to the other team. "You guys are going to be following me. Keep your eyes peeled for anything unusual." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Noire started to walk ahead of VLAD. She pulled out her scroll to check a small map that Ozpin had sent to her earlier. "Alright...we're on the right track." As the five were walking, small sounds could be heard from the bushes and trees. Noire looked around a little bit before turning her back to the front. The sounds grew louder and louder with each step they took. Noire immediately placed her hands on her sickles. "We got company..." She whispered to the team behind her. From the trees and bushes, people emerged from it. Their faces were covered by masks that had resembled the faces of Grimm. "What in the-?!" Before anybody could move, the whole group was surrounded by them. "The White Fang?!?! How?!" Noire held her sickles up in defense. The person in front of her had spoke up. "Leave now and there will be no problems." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BLAB walked along the path for a little bit. After some time, small sounds could be heard from the bushes. It might've been some bird or small animal. As they continued to walk, the sounds continue to occur. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
