"Well allow me to make your job a little easier!" Hikaru pointed his keyblade over Stratos and unleashed an aero spell over him. He nodded to Stratos before heading for another wave of Shadow heartless. He looked around to see if there were some shadow heartless he could quickly eradicate. In his eyes, there were a lot of shadow heartless left on the battlefield. With them out of the way, he and the others could focus on taking out some of the more stronger and skilled heartless that were roaming around. The Invisibles were proving to be formidable foes and the Neoshadows felt like matured shadows.
He took his keyblade and tried to just plow his way through a good chunk of them. As he ran past a couple dozen shadows he slashed through them left an right, not stopping to see if was doing any damage or even killing any of them. He was just running and slashing with his keyblade.

He skid along the ground, eventually running around a group of shadows before he saw a good chunk of them grouped together. He jumped into the air as he saw a chance to seize an opportunity and fired a powerful blizzaga spell at them. "Deep Freeze!" he shouted, his ice spell managing to cover a wide range of the shadow heartless cluster. Without even warning or further effort, the critical ice attack manage to completely wipe out the small hurdle of shadows, causing Hikaru to pull his fist down in a victorious way. He spotted some of the weaker ones lurking away, causing him to chase after. Before he could attack one however, the heartless sunk into the ground making it invulnerable. Hikaru struck down his blade, hearing a loud clang against the cement-like ground of the dark path side of the Destiny Islands. "Can't stay down there forever!" he yelled, finding a couple shadows to strike down in the meantime, he slashed away at them without a second thought as he waited for that shadow to re-emerge. Only seconds later did he see the little bugger pop it's head out of the ground. He quickly slid towards the shadow, catching him by surprise in the front and did a quick jab at it with his keyblade, the heartless fading before his eyes.

He looked as the once tame beach-like world was shattered by darkness and all the wondrous things that might have once been warm memories, were now torn like a ripped page. He shook his head and looked to the rest of the group in helps of leaning towards some more of the support side of things. He caught Kaida in the corner of his eye and quickly dashed towards her to see how she was doing. "How are things on your end?" he panted, catching up to her. He was wheezing a little more than he should've at this point. Speed was not his forte and it was beginning to show as he was already so out of breath. "And why am I so tired already!?" he asked, putting his hands on his knees as he breathed deeply. He held up his finger as if to interrupt some one who was talking. "So tired..." small droplets of sweat ran down the side of his face. "How are you not?"

He tried to stretch himself up and keep himself limber as he shook his legs off. Sufffice to say, Hikaru did not have the best cardio. Even dating back to his academy days, Hikaru always dreaded the rigorous running segments and sessions that the institution made him do to keep his energy up.

With vim and vigor in his eyes, Tango pulled out two keyblade. "I accept your challenge hombre!"
A smile struck his face as he looked up with bright red eyes, two keyblades in his hands. He clashed the two of them together as he placed his blades to his sides. "You better not disappoint me Mr. Luther. You've gone and gotten me quite excited for what I hope is a thrilling battle." He breathed deeply. "Half the reason I joined the Red Society was to find worthy combatants to test my steel against." He dashed forward as he prepared to slash both blades in a cross like formation. "Let us see what you're made of!"

Inside the laboratory, Yue looked around for any sign of Nequa or her cronies. She saw Rin on the table, her eyes widening before she rushed over to her. She felt her face to see if she was still breathing, but gasped in shock upon the sensation of her face. Rin was as cold as ice. "No..." Yue whispered, taking her sunglassses off. She picked up her limp body and held her closely.

    "Relax, she's alive... but barely."
Yue spun around to find the voice belonging to Nequa. She was in her old purple armor but her face was covered. She could tell there was a new body under the armor because her height had changed. She was slightly taller and her voice was more soft spoken. "Frankly I would have liked the Mizu girl for her magical affinity, but I had to use the spare magic user instead. Overall, things could've been worse?"

Yue closed her eyes and looked to Rin, holding her cheek before slowly lowering her body back to the table.
"What? No angry threats? This is very out of character for you ms. Yue..."
"Of course I'm angry." She looked down and held her cold hand with hers. "But just seeing her alive at all... I can't help but be grateful." She brushed some excess hair away from her face as she tried to fight tears rolling down her face.

"And now you're crying?" Nequa mocked. "Seriously, what did you do with the chick with all the anger issues? I mean it's not like you guys were married or something."
Yue remained silent as she squeezed Rin's hand tighter.

"Oh my god.... you... you actually love her, don't you?" Nequa asked leaning back.
Yue now turned her eyes to Nequa, turning pink from her tears. She looked at her with more hatred.
"Well that is just precious!" she laughed, holding her sides. "I mean does she even know? Was it like a secret admirer type thing where you harbored your feelings. Wow. I mean just... wow. Think what you want of me, but irony is the real monster here... And now she's gonna die without knowing how you felt."
Yue looked down before feeling her hand being squeezed back. A tear streamed down Rin's face as she looked up at Yue. "Trust me... she knows." she weakly smiled. "And she feels the same."
Rin slowly got up with the help of Yue and held her hand tightly.

"Aww... if I had a heart it would be melting right now..." She held up her hand as a powerful dark aura surrounded it. "You two are about to have a nice little trip to the void. It's an interdimensional prison that is impossible to escape. Can't have you somehow surviving here as heartless after all. Your hearts are too strong." Her tone turned serious. "Any last words?"

Rin looked to Yue. "You can escape you know... All you have to do is phase-"
"I already lost you once," Yue interrupted. "I am NOT losing you again."
Rin weakly smiled. She looked to Nequa and softly replied, "We beat the reaper's game together... We'll beat the void too."
Yue wiped away any more tears and picked up Rin in her arms as she stood proudly, her eyes never leaving Nequa's helmet. "We'll be back for you."
"Doubt it," Nequa replied, crushing her hand to activate the void portal. A purple pentagram surround Yue and Rin. Rin closed her eyes in acceptance, with Yue shutting hers tightly. Rin ran her head along Yue's neck, feeling safe again as both of them vanished in a flash of purple smoke.

"Well, that almost made me want to gag..." She looked to Zulu who was silently watching.
"So... What are we to do now?"
"Take what you can and self destruct the lab... We've done all we needed here. Be ready in 5 minutes or I leave you behind.."
Zulu nodded before rushing to collect his research.
She looked back to the spot the two girls once stood. "To err is human I guess," she shrugged.

Hikaru looked at his friend and back to the baattle aheaad. With Shiro's appearance, the group had enough back up, but he was still concerned about Aux. People like Aislinn, Kaida, Kel and Stratos had already joined the fray, prompting Hikaru to try and get in on the action. He leaned down next to Aux who was still writhing in pain. "I'll help you once I help the others alright."
Aux grunted as he tried to keep his eyes open. "Just go..."
Hikaru nodded and began to race off. He didn't get very far as Aux helfd his wrist, causing him to stagnate in place. "But before this is over. You and I WILL talk," he said in a threatening tone.
Hikaru began to sweat a little, gulping and nodding to affirm Aux's condition. Aux let go of his wrist, causing Hikaru to dash forward. He pointed his blade forward unleashing a torrent of water. "Aqua splash!" Using it like a magical fire hose, he pushed the water spell against several shadow heartless, dousing them and pushing them back furth and further away from him. He managed to find himself a little spot as he began to press the water around him and further away from the wielders who had yet to join the battle. With the water spell having finished, he twirled his keyblade firing a blast of a blizzard spell, freezing a neoshadow. He dashed forward and unleashed a flurry of blows before the neoshadow could escape. His combo hitting was successful as the neoshadow faded into darkness.

From the corner of his eye, he could see many of the smaller shadow heartless sinking into the ground and heading right for him. He dashed back and began to sprint far from the heartless. He whacked his way through the wave of minor heartless trying to reach the other combatants. He noticed that fighting the once adament heartless seemed relatively easy to him now. Was it something to do with becoming a master? Regardless, he felt he had grown as both a keyblade wielder and as a warrior. He looked off to Shiro who was still confronting the mystery old man before looking back to the battle ahead.
He kept running until an invisible blocked his path. He froze in place, backing up a bit at the size of the above average heartless. He backed up and used his keyblade to guard as the heartless struck down on Hikaru with his sword, being parryed off his keyblade. While he wasn't the fastest, Hikaru manage to race around behind the heartless before hitting the heartless with another Blizzaga spell. The power of Hikaru's magic did a number on the heartless, doing massive ice damage and causing the heartless to decrease in speed. Seizing his opportunity, he unleashed a quick torrent of slashes before the heartless finally dispersed.

He continued to look around for any of the massive invisible heartless he had never seen before before backing up slowly. His back eventually hit something, as he was stunned before turning around. He quickly held up his keyblade but breathed a sigh of relief upon realizing it was stratos. He looked to see the waves of heartless the boy had already defeated in his small absense. "So I see you've made good use of your time," he chuckled.
He twirled his keyblade before offering his hand. "Need some extra magic power in your arsenal?" Hikaru and Stratos had rarely interacted with each other much aside from their short time in Space Paranoids. This time, he wouldn't let himself be as short handed as he was in Central Haven.

A bright light shown around the party as they were transported from Shibuya to somewhere new entirely.

The path along the realm of darkness was baron. a kilometer away however, small island could be seen connecting to the pathway/ As if an entire patch of beach was shipwrecked on the realm of darkness. The world seemed to be broken. As if the darkness caused it to tear apart from the inside. A luxurious treehouse that sat atop the island was in ruins.

At the center of the island, a grizzled man could be seen. Scars all over his body and a cybernetic left arm.
Hikaru looked down at his player pin. "Are we?... Are we supposed to give our pin to him?"
Aux looked at the ol man who looked took a fierce stand. His hands clenched as he walked to the edge of the beach.
"I don't think he's the welcome committee," Aux said. "Tell us who you are old man!" Aux yelled out.

"A former soldier of the Red Society!" He cried out.
    "The what?" Hikaru asked back.
"A group that follows Nequa," Aux bluntlty replied.
"You... know who Nequa is?" Hikaru asked nervously. He looked down to Aux's player pin that was pinned to the pocket of his pants. The red pin glowed intenseley meaning Aux's memories were slowly fading back to him. "Guess I do... I'm beginning to remember things." He looked to Hikaru. "Everything." Aux fell to his knees as he grabbed his head in pain. Hikaru began to worry. If Aux's memories were being returned to him, then the dark remnant he bared would return soon as well. The friend they were with to this point would be lost to darkness.

    "Aux, get up!"

"Your friend has the right idea... Submit now and I won't have to destroy you." A storm began to form around the island, growining in power as the man contined. "My name is Colonel Marshall Hughes. And I was recently discharged by Nequa. She told me I was a FAILURE!" Thunder roared across the sky. "So I'm here to prove my worth. Show that to this soldier; FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!"

He drew a keyblade from his hand as darkness and wind formed around him. "If I cannot serve under her banner. Then I will serve under my own and do what I was born to do."

From all corners of the island, thousands of pureblood heartless began to spring up. Shadows, Darkballs, Neoshadows and a giant Darkside

"Command an army of darkness!" he yelled to the heavens as his heartless army marched. "This is my final test to you so called masters! Five waves of heartless! All the energy my body has belongs to the darkness now! This is my final attack! 10,000 heartless all with the enraged desire to destroy you all! Nequa will see that I am not a failure! I will succeed where she has failed! And no one can help you now!" Uniform laughed maniacally, his own ego increasing as his heartless moved forward. "You're all going to die and it's all thanks to your weak hearts!-"

"THE FIST OF JUSTICE SAYS OTHERWISE!"

A booming masculine voice echoed across the island. From a purple portal, a man shirtless man with jet-like bronze hair came flying through the gloomy sky and punched the darkside, causing it to immediately disappear. The old man stepped back in shock as he watched the mystery man land. "What... you!" Reacting as if he had met them before.

"THAT'S RIGHT COLONEL! CAPTAIN FUJIOKA IS NOW PRIMED AND READY TO FIGHT ONCE MORE! UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU THOUGH, I'M ON THE OPPOSING SIDE THIS TIME AROUND!" Shiro, also known to most of the SOS members as 'Kuma,' has flown down like a superhero and cracked his knuckles as he faces Hughes.

Colonel Hughes drew out his keyblade. "One more weak hearted fool makes no difference to me!"
Shiro chuckled whole heartedly, keeping his optimism as he turned to Kaida.
"LADY KAIDA! IT'S GOOD TO SEE YOU'RE DOING WELL. MY CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SUCCESS OF YOUR MARK OF MASTERY!"
He turned to his oppenent as he cracked his neck and drew out his keyblade. "LEAVE HUGHES TO ME! I WILL HELP YOU WHERE I CAN! NOW GO AND SHOW ME JUST HOW POWERFUL YOU'VE BECOME!"

    Back at Lea's hideaway

As Tango walked away, his feet came to a full stop after Luther's question.
"The battle I came to finish has ended. I have no quarrel to pick with the likes of you two. And yet..." A fire glared into his eyes as he saw Luther's expression. His face quivering with excitement reminded him of his own lust for battle. "Something about that face has me intrigued. Do you wish for a challenge perhaps? I recall from earlier reports that you are the hombre with the illusionary prowess, yes?" He grinned as his keyblade ignited in fire. The powers of both of both flame and illusion would make for a truly inspiring combination of elements. Or perhaps wind and fire for a truly devastating collaboration?" He looked to Melus before quickly pointed his blade to the two of them. "Tell me... do you know of a challenge known as Final Fantasy?" He looked to either of them for a sign of response. "It is a challenge between one or more parties. A duel of sorts that wages your ability over an element. One party would initiate the challenge. To wager one element for another. The one being challenged is able to set the conditions. And the victor of both would obtain both elements as their prize... With the option of course to slaughter his enemy or grant mercy." He pointed his blade to Luther. "For example, if I were to challenge you to a final fantasy... what would you say?"

With the impressive explosions and oncoming assaults that were prepared, a large burst of smoke and flames surrounded the area where Nequa stood. The dust settling, Nequa walked away from it quite scathed. But under her torn and scorched armor there wasn't flesh. Instead robotic parts and circuits sparked as he body twitched and glitched as she walked. Before even managing to walk two feet, the robotic replacement broke down and fell to the ground.
The booming voice of Zulu echoed in as he chuckled uncontrollably. "Oh such fun with fire and explode-y things! HA HA HA HA!!" He voice turned serious once he had his fun. "Time to send in the rest."
A lever was activated as at least a dozen of the Nequa robots came into view. "I wanted to save these for another time... but I can't have you interrupting any further. Say hello to the Nequabots!!"
The Nequabots lined up and raised their palms, pointing them at Kiara, Aeira, Arctus and Vallus. They fired from their palms, powerful bursts of Thunder, Fire and Blizzard spells. Like rapid firing machine guns, they continued their assault relentlessly.

Yue clenched down on her teeth. Rin was still inside and her safety was still in jeopardy. She looked to anyone not involved in the Nequabot assault. She spotted Koa and Finlay.
"You two! Watch Mizu. Make sure nothing happens to her!"
"Whot?!" Finlay argued. "Are you insane? I've already got enough kids to babysit, I'm not taking another-"
"It wasn't optional!" Yue barked, her voice almost demonic. The command was disturbing enough to silence Finlay as she charged into the fray from the left side. Two Nequabots spotted her and began blasting spells of fire and ice. With some quick evasion, and some dark abilities, she slowly phased through the two bots passing her keyblade through them. As she did, the Nequabots glitched and exploded from one fell swoop. Yue charged through the doors and into the lab, shutting the door behind her. 10 of the Nequabots were still attacking the rest of the group. Though they without keyblades, they still provided powerful magic.

    Back at Lea's Hideaway

Tango and Lea continued to battle each other with skill and Vigor. Lea kept looking back at Melus and Luther out of the corner of her eye to make sure they were alright.
"Your attention is slipping! You should be focusing all your attention on the battle in front of you. Or are you worried about the younger ones not being able to hold their own?" Tango questioned.
Lea looked back to his opponent. "On the contrary, you keep underestimating them. They're more powerful than you realize."
Tango chuckled. "And that is exactly what I hoped for..."
Lea's eyes shrank as this could mean his downfall.
"You see a very special ability of mine is that I am able to use keyblades from the opponents I have struck down. As such I absorb their fighting spirit. Along with anyone else I face during battle. Your two friends are not making my strength weaker senor. Oh no... They are only making me that much more powerful!"
With impressive skill and speed, Tango continued to strike Lea with such powerful fury, that all the flame user could do was block his attacks. Eventually Tango's attack struck through Lea's keyblade, snapping the mystical weapon in half, causing Lea to fall backwards. "Such an unfitting end to an accomplished master. The honorable thing to do was to strike you down... But according to la jefa Nequa, you have come back as a nobody before. We can't have that happening to you again. " From his pocket, Tango pulled out a small purple disc the was the side of his thumbnail. "Doesn't look like much I know. Nequa used much of her magic to supply me and a few of my associates with this VOID DISC."
    Lea's eyes widened. "So that-"
"Correct. It is a pocket gateway to the void. a realm that exists outside light and darkness. Lost forever in the lanes between." Tango tossed the disc to Lea as it stuck to the master's arm. The disc melted into a dark purple as it enveloped Lea's body, slowly causing him to fade.
"You were a worthy opponent... But your time is over. Compliments of myself... Ignicio De la Vega..."
Lea remained silent, closing his eyes as he faded from sight,. His shattered keyblade also vanished from sight in a trickle of light.

Tango let out a whistle as his keyblades returned to him. "Gracias for your unwilling part to play. I sadly must depart. My job here is done." He turned to leave the two, completely lacking any remorse for his honorable action.

"Wait!" Hikaru yelled quickly chasing after Kaida. He grabbed her by the wrist and slowly dragged her back.
Aux returned to the conversation and looked to AJ. "I'm sure Lea's fine. Not sure what he's doing but he's a member of the order. How much danger can he be in?"
"Kupo!" Jax cheered as he suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
"Ahh! WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?" Aux asked, stepping back in discomfort.

As Hikaru brought back Kaida, he introduced Aux to Jax. "Oh right, Aux that's Jax. He's a moogle that helps us from time to time."
Jax held up a small red pouch to Hikaru. "Your engraving request is complete!"
Hikaru bowed his head lightly and accepted the red pouch. "Engraved what exactly?"
"Oh... well since we all became masters I asked Jax to make something special for the occasion." He reached into the pouch, his hand pulling out a small handful of silver rings that chimed in his hand. "After we came back from the last set of worlds I ask Jax to make them. I even got a lot of extras in case Karina, D'daear or any of the others come back. Not to mention if we meet anyone new1" Hikaru actually planned to do something else with that time, but felt this was something more commemorative to the group's accomplishment.
He walked over to Kel, Luna and Steel, handing them each their own ring.
"Since the earliest I can recall you've stuck with this group even when you didn't have to."
He rushed over and handed a ring to Ananta, Ignis, and Beuce.
"And over that time we've all changed. For better or worse, we adapted."
He then walked over to Stratos, AJ, and Aislinn giving them each a ring.
"Even if you haven't been with us long, you've all shown your strengths and skills. As fighters-"
He walked back to Kaida and handed her a ring. "And as friends," he smiled.
He turned to Aux and handed him a ring much to the red haired man's shock.
"Regardless of anything in your past you helped. And that goes a long way..."
Aux took the ring and looked at it in the palm of his hand. Jax hover over his shoulder to look at the ring, causing Aux to flinch away.

Everyone in the party received an SOS Ring!

The ring had a small engraving of the outside of the exterior in a small, bold engraving; "S O Ƨ"

Yue's head turned as she absolved all the new information. Her attention remained immediately on the pod, wiping away any excess cold on the outside to reveal Mizu's face. She quickly pried open the pod with her bare hands as she felt Mizu's face. It was still warm, which was a good sign. Yue gently tried to shake Mizu awake to no avail, so she felt her pulse. After a delayed reaction, she sighed in relief. "You're still alive... Thank god."

Echo at this time, parried away Kiara's fireball. As Kiara came at him from the right, he barely managed to avoid the attack before standing at the door again.

Zulu's face twisted as he watched the monitors of the laboratory exterior on a cascade of screens. "No no no no!!! The mean one is here!" he exclaimed rushing back to Nequa's side as she laid on an operation table. "The boy can't face off against that many opponents. He can only adapt to so much power before things become too much for him!"
Uniform in the meantime was outfitting his severed arm with an upgraded metallic arm. "Then put me back in there!" he grunted. "An eye for an eye... And someone owes me an arm."
Zulu began to pull at his hair as he turned to the old soldier. "Do you hear your own stupids?! Your arm hasn't finished calibrating. you'd be a sitting duck!"
"I don't take orders from you kid!"
"I'm nine! You're eleven! Learn your place infantry!"
Uniform held up Zulu by his collar as he yelled at his face. "You miserable-"
"Enough!" Nequa yelled, slowly sitting up. "Put the kid down Hughes."
Uniform grunted as he released the boy back to his feet. Zulu rushed to her side as he tried to examine her vitals. "No no no master... You are to weak. This body will fade within the hour. You've used up all the mana from this girl. We need your replacement."
"Screw the sister... Just hook me up to the back up already."
    "Are you sure?" Zulu asked.
"Yeah... but before you do, just let me deal with the problem outside."
"Unacceptable!" Uniform yelled. "Lima is a deserter, Zulu is responsible for you transfer, and our only guard dog is a technical slave! I am the only choice!"
Nequa sighed before turning to him. "No. You're done."
"Beg your pardon?" Uniform asked baffled.
"I mean you can consider that new arm of yours as a severance package. I mean you have failed EVERY thing you were assigned. You failed to find Juliet's source of power, you failed to guard the lab... and you failed the red society. Never thought I'd have to kick one of my own babies out but.. here we are." Nequa was almost sympathetic in the way she was letting him go. "I'd put you out of your misery but... I dunno, something about killing an old man seems too much like euthanasia for my tastes."
Uniform gripped his fist before swallowing his pride. "Master Nequa, please reconsider-"
    "Leave." She interrupted. "Now."

Uniform exhaled as he looked up in anger. "I will prove my value to this society."
Nequa nodded as she lay back down on the table. "That's great buddy. Just do it somewhere else."
Uniform beat his chest with his metal arm as a gust of wind vanished him from the room.
Zulu returned back to the room. "Your new vessel is ready..."
Nequa sighed. "That's great, now tag out the kid already."

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A large voice boomed in front of the building via sound system. "That's enough Echo, return to Base."
Echo blinked twice before nodding. Like a lightning bolt he ran away from the battle and the area. At breakneck speed he ran without stopping until he was out of sight.

The lab doors open as Nequa strolled out silently. She cracked her knuckles as she stood in her purple armor. She was now out in the open without any protection. She raised her hand up and flicked her two fingers towards herself telling people to 'come at her.'

At the end of every month, an announcement thread will be set up to reveal the topic for that month. Your choices should be ranked 1-10 (#1 being the top pick) and will be sent privately to Krowley. Why send it privately, you ask? This is to keep things anonymous and more anticipated instead of easily predicted.

As Echo looked upwards at the comets, small lock-on targets were formed on the incoming projectiles. His attention focused back on Kiara and Arctus who were preparing their attacks. "Adjusting for multiple targets. Rerouting trajectory," he spoke, holding his keyblade in a guarding stance. As he did, one by one the comets hit his keyblade before deflecting in the direction of the oncoming attackers. He was parrying Arctus' own attack back at him. From the corner of his eye, he deflected another comet at Kiara to parry her whip from harming him. He stood his stand as the comets has run out and flung back at Arctus and the rest of the team.

"Stand around and do nothin'?!" Finlay yelled. "We are at a distinct advantage! It's seven to one! We should be bargin' into the lab! Do I hafta spell it out for you?! We came here to get ridda her once and for all!" Finlay could feel his broken fingers begin to twinge in pain as he grew more upset. "Whot's it gonna take for you to realize how important this is?!"

As Finlay spoke, a cyan colored portal quickly opened behind the pod. From it, a woman with long black hair came through the portal. She wore mostly black and white clothes accompanied by combat boots and a pair of thick sunglasses over her eyes. She had a few scratches on her face, and looked like she meant business. She looked around the group before taking off her glasses to get a look with her own dark eyes. "Someone start talking... Where's Nequa?"

    Back at Lea's Hideaway

"On the contrary hombre, unlike the blonde diva, my goals are not so trivial. You fought an opponent who was untrained in the art of the blade. On assault from multiple targets would easily destroy her..." He smirked as heId his keyblade aloft. "I, on the other hand..." Tango held his arms wide open as six keyblades were summoned in a fiery blaze. "Embrace that challenge..."He flew his arms towards Luther and Melus causing three keyblades to attack the woman and another three to attack the man. Tango summoned one alone as he attacked Lea head on, the red haired master, quickly guarding with his own.

As Tango's blade pressed against Lea's, the blades clash created sparks. "I must tell you Senor Lea, I am quite relieved to know I finally receive a challenge. When jefa Nequa informed me you were of the great and mighty Order, I couldn't accept this assignment quick enough..." All six of Tengo's keyblades in the meanwhile fended off against Melus and Luther so they would not interfere.

Aux wasn't really aware of what Hikaru was going through, so he did as he always did. He found something to distract himself with.
He was thinking about the Auras he could select while waiting for them. He stood by himself and pressed his fists together, breathing deeply and hoping the auras would just naturally come to him. Without even skipping a beat, a flash of dark purple clouded his mind, DARKNESS having already been selected. His eyes flinched, opening as he wished to not continue after that.

    Elsewhere in Shibuya....

With the fight over, Megumi lay flat on his back, his reaper wings slowly receeding. From the look of things, Yue had come out the victor. She quickly put her blindfold on as she held a hand over her heart. She panted as she held the wall for support. Megumi shuckled as he struggled to move his body. "Hehe, and I thought your raw power was all talk," he scowled. "Seems hiding your darkness has had an effect on you. Tell me, how does it feel to let all that power flow from you? What's uncanny is that you truly believe that blindfold is what keeps your darkness at bay? It's something in your heart that does it."
"Oh get bent already," Yue interrupted, running her hand along the walls to keep her upright.
"But what harm does a few final words create. In a moment I shall be erased from the world and my existence will cease. Shibuya will receive a new game master and it will be like I was never here. Such an interesting place the Underground is. You gave me quite the climactic sendoff. For that I thank you." Megumi seemed to have accepted his fate. As if his entire life was just one big game. "But I am curious... where will you go from here?"
Yue looked to his computer monitor and hit a few keystrokes. "Going to track down your delivery boy. Find Mizu... I have a promise to keep."
"Ahh yes, the prodigal daughter... she's the sister of Rin I take it? Her high potency in magic will suffice Nequa for sometime. You've become physically spent from fighting me alone. What chance do you think you have against a sorceress supreme?"
Yue stopped typing and breathed deeply.
"You and Rin were one of the strongest pairings Shibuya has every come across. Your synergy alone was... refreshing to say the least. You two must share a very strong bond for you to risk your life like this."
Yue remained quiet as she found the co-ordinates and removed Megumi's controller from his wrist. She headed for the exit but paused a moment.
"Why did you align with No Heart? What's he planning?"
Megumi chuckled as dark particles faded his body. "I haven;t the fondest idea. Something to do with Kingdom Hearts I imagine. He also said something about doing what was right for all worlds. He allowed dominion over Shibuya. I had no reason or to decline. I have no allegiance. For once, I just wanted to be part of a game that wasn't so... predictable." His legs and arms faded as he smiled. "I suppose my entrance fee for this particular game was too high. Pity. I wished to see the endgame." His final words spoken, his body faded, leaving only his pair of glasses behind.
Yue looked back and picked up his dark sunglasses. She breathed deeply recalling Megumi's words about her darkness. She slowly took off her blindfold and dropped it to the ground, picking up his glasses before putting them on. She pressed a button on the controller, activating a portal to what she believed was Mizu's location. She adjusted the sunglasses to her face as she cracked her knuckles to prepare for the upcoming confrontation.
    "Game's over."
She walked through the portal, leaving Shibuya behind.

"Hehe, probably just best if we let him be for now... Just let him calm down, y'know? I don't really know what will happen once we reach Density Islands."
"It's Destiny. And I can hear you."
A shiver ran up Hikaru's spine as he turned back to AJ's question. "Well Lea said he was finding people with Karina, so I'm sure they're at least keeping each other safe. Since Megumi said we passed, Yue might be off looking for Mizu and Rin... As for Glen..." Hikaru thought hard about where he went. He was dissolved from the game by Sho without a moment's notice. "Not really sure what we do about him. Apparently he didn't complete enough missions to continue on... Neither did Base... or Xara, or Gwendolyn." Roughly a fourth of the original group had failed. "There's a possibility they might have been erased. With all the celebration, I didn't even consider the fact we wouldn't be seeing them again." Hikaru suddenly felt saddened by the disappearance of his allies.

Lima did a quick back flip to avoid Kiara's attack. She saw the situation in front of her as she thought tactically in her head. With the arrival of the scarf kid, that put the enemy's numbers at seven with Kiara, Finlay, Koa, Aeira, Arctus, and Vallus. Meanwhile, their side consisted of herself, and incapacitated Nequa, a preoccupied Zulu, and an injured Uniform. The more she thought about it in her head the more she realized this could be a losing battle. She sighed as she tried to muster up enough spacial energy for one more teleport. "Have to retreat for now...." She new this was going to haunt her later, but she prayed that she could talk her way out of it when the time came to explain to Nequa. "Live to fight another day... Live to fight another day," she repeated before quickly teleporting out of the arena.

Finlay in the meanwhile looked to Koa. With Lima having escaped, that left the group alone with Echo, who stood in front of the laboratory gates. Echo by comparrison to himself, didn't look like much. He grinned as he tried to relax his fingers. "Now we protect the pod and storm the castle!!"

    [VOLUME 1]
    - CHAPTER V -
    OPERATION PANDORA

    Back at Lea's Hideaway

Lea began to pace back and forth as Melus and Luther were recuperating. "Man I'm never this stressed," Lea began, scratching the back of his neck. "I mean, it's not like I don't have faith in them, I just feel like I should be there with them, y'know." He tried to laugh, it off but was just growing more worried. "I know this group doesn't look like much, but I know we can do good. We just need to get a little more organized. "I'm just have this gut feeling that something unexpected will happen."

"A gut feeling you are right to follow Senor," a smooth spanish voice spoke.
Lea looked towards the hastilly repaired door, only to find it knocked down wit a powerful fire spell. The man on the other side was none other than Tango, slowly strutting his way inside. "It seems your team is divided once more. You should get a proper planner. If you were not an adversary I would recommend Delta," he grinned.
"That another friend of yours?" Lea asked summoning his own keyblade.
"The Red Society is less made up of friends and more made up of... como se dice... associates. Our end goals merely align with la jefa Nequa."
"Well sorry to break it to yah, but we don't exactly have any pods for you to take."
"You misunderstand Senor, I am not here for some menial container." Tango summoned his blade and pointed it directly as Lea. "I am here to vanquish you in combat!"

"Thank you..." Aux sighed in relief. Something about how mushy this was all becoming through him off a bit.
Hikaru began to look around as the group was becoming more familiar with themselves. Some even changing their entire clothing ensembles before selecting auras.
"Wow, everyone looks so new," he smiled. "You thinking about changing outfits too?"
Aux looked back at him unimpressed. "What's wrong with how I dress?"
"Oh, uhh... nothing, honest!" Hikaru tried to back away slowly in case he got mad.
"Why don't you get a new outfit?"
Hikaru looked back to the group, feeling optimistic. "Nah, I'm happy as I am."
Aux looked to the group and back at him. "Stop looking at them like that... It's creepy."
"Sorry," Hikaru chuckled. "I guess for the first time in a while... I have faith things are gonna be alright." Hikaru walked a small distance over to talk with Ignis.
"Cool new clothes! Feel any stronger?"

Aux folded his arms looking at the group. "Whatever you say, weirdo... Nice without Yue here though. She'd probably tell us to high tale it out of here."
He looked back at the corners of the street they were on. "Where is she anyways?"

    Elsewhere in Shibuya....

Megumi walked into a room as the doors opened horizontally for him and shutting behind him as he entered.
"Well it's about time. Where have you been?!" Yue barked.
"Oh do forgive me, I was just finishing the final phases of their exam."
    "Did they-!"
"Rest assured, their exam was a success. A very kind hearted group you have there. You'd be proud."
"I don't need them to be kind, I need them to be ready! Now outta my way... We've spent long enough here." She passed Megumi as she headed for the door and pressed the access panel. A small blink was made with a very quick buzzing noise, signalling it wouldn't open.
"Open the stupid lock so I can get them out of here."
Megumi put tapped his index finger to his lips as he leaned on the wall. "Yes, about that phase. I'm afraid you'll no longer be necessary for it. As masters, I'm sure they're fully capable of following the instructions they've been given."
Yue sighed and rolled her eyes under her blind fold. "Fine, just open th door so I can at least look for Mizu, or Rin... or Nequa."
Megumi made a few 'tsks' under his breath. "Again, I'm afraid I wasn't specific. When I said you were no longer necessary, I wasn't referring to just the exam. I've been assigned very strict orders to... how shall I put this delicately?... End your time in this realm."
Yue glared at him. "So No Heart got to you too, huh? What could he possibly have that you want?"
"That master can be quite persuasive for what he has planned. You see, in order for his plan to work, you were to assist in aiding the strength of the SOS. Now that you've completed that part, he no longer needs you for his affairs. And seeing as how you will continue to interfere, we thought it best to simply... remove you from the board?"
"We?" she asked, looking around the room for escape.
"Ahh yes, No Heart has made quite the numerous amount of allies. And if you're looking for a way out don't bother, OPERATION PANDORA will commence as scheduled. The only way out of this combat room is with my access panel. And I can tell you it's quite hard to tear away from my arm."
    "Operation Pandora?"
"My my so many questions... But if you must no, it's the co-ordinated assault to eliminate the order. You, Shiro, DJ, Lea and the little blonde one, all have assassins assigned. Me, being the obvious assailant."
    "What about Krowley?"
"Oh you don't know, do you... He's the one who helped us co-ordinate this all. He's been working with us from the start."
Yue clenched her fists as she gritted her teeth. "And Mizu?"
"Oh we have special plans for her...She will receive the esteemed honor of becoming Nequa's next vessel. You see, the girl she possessed- Rin, I believe it was- is almost out of magical energy. In fact, I just sent my delivery boy to ensure she's being delivered as we speak."
Yue looked up to him. "Anything else?"
    "No, I believe that's everything.
"Good, because I've hit my limit thanks to you. Now you've gone and made me-"
    "Angry? Enraged? Uncharacteristically stunned?"
"No,. You went and made me have to try." A beaming purple aura engulfed around Yue as she took off her blindfold.
Megumi smiled ashe grew out large reaper wings. "My, this is an interesting change of pace. Even if you strike me down, you can't save them all. Still. I can't wait to see you try..."
A small beeping alarm came off his clock as Yue summoned her keyblade.
"Because Operation Pandora... has officially begun..."

Aux turned bright red while Hikaru hugged tightly right back. With Aux's arming not responding, he looked down at his two friends. As uncomfortable as he was, he could feel a flood of memories from their days at the academy flow into his mind. His eyes grew listless as he gave off a small smile. He lifted an arm and patted Kaida's head twice before proceeding to do the same with Hikaru. He tilted his head down so his hair would cover his eyes. He cleared his throat before looking back up. "So... shouldn't we be planning ahead? There was something about Auras right?"
"Little longer," Hikaru quickly replied, holding tightly to the hug.
Aux sighed. "Yeah, okay." He looked around, feeling a bit uneasy if people were watching. "Not like were on a time limit or anything," he sarcastically remarked.

    "That's right,"
Aux said. "You're a master now... Congratulations," he blankly replied. "And honestly, I was expecting you to be more mad," he awkwardly laughed. He cleared his throat before continuing. "And it's not that I don't want to be your friend. If I could tell you WHY I did what I did, I would." He looked away to avoid eye contact. "The whole experience just feels like I keep waking up after a dream I can't remember." He breathed in deeply through his nose. "But for what it's worth... If I do turn, I just want you to know - and I guess to an extent everyone else- that I'm uhh... y'know... sorry and junk. You and Hikaru were the closest things I had to family and I took that for granted. That didn't make me feel like I was always alone. So..." He finally looked her in the eyes as he tilted his head down. "Thanks."

A small high-pitched noise was heard, causing Aux to turn his head. Hikaru was standing there with both fists clenched from the anticipation of watching his friends.
"Were you two... being friends?" he asked happily. His eyes began to water as a few tears rolled down his cheek.
    "Stop crying," Aux commanded.
"Okay..." Hikaru sniffled, wiping his cheeks. "I just never thought I'd see that again." He turned to Kaida. "And that we'd both actually become masters with you Kaida... I'm just so happy," he continued to wipe away tears as they continued to fall. "And now you're gonna get stronger (sniff) and tougher together..."
"You are really ruining this." He looked back to Kaida.
"I know... (sniff) can we just hug it out?-" Hikaru opened his arms towards Aux, who quickly replied; "No," before stopping Hikaru's face with his hand.

Lima did a few evasive measures, but tripped by the tip of the whip hitting her ankle. She grunted in pain but continued to help.
"Don't just stand there robot boy, do something!"
The boy known as Echo turned his head. From his point of view, a circular target icon was locked onto Kiara. "Adapting new parameters." A small loading sound was made as he pointed his keyblade out. "Update complete. Accessing new data." Ventus fired a whip of fire against Kiara to cut her off from running any further.

Finlay, was off with Koa and Aeira who was still near the invisible heartless. He jumped on the back of one of the invisible heartless and rung his arm around it's neck. He then took an axe from his back and struck it straight at the creature's chest, causing it to disperse. He fell down quickly back onto his feet, looking at the two. "One of you get the pod. The other help me kill the last two beasts!"
