Ria didn't really listen to any of the banter that had headed their way. They were so all over the place it was hard to keep track, so when they were ready they just waved their arm and the shadows charged in the front group. A secondary group appeared and surrounded Ria like they were protecting them. There are a total of 300 shadow heartless. Each shadow heartless takes 5BP to hit. Each BP is worth 20 words. You have a total of 20 BP. Round 1 starts now. Round 2 begins in 2 days or until all players have taken their turns. Kara: 20/20 HP Chrys: 20/20 HP Chloe: 20/20 HP Chrono: 20/20 HP Xen: 20/20 HP Daeni: 20/20 HP Alder: 20/20 HP Relli: 20/20 HP Marley: 20/20 HP Cerdic: 20/20 HP The shadows only have a slashing type attack, and are relatively easy to dodge. But if multiple jump out at once, it's a little bit hard.
Lyphos listened to Tharados explain what he wanted from him with curiosity. When he mentioned how he basically wanted the eldest one to be the queen, Lyphos gripped the arm of the chair a bit in anger, and did his best to show it on his face. Truthfully, he just wanted to kill all three. He wanted them all to brutally murdered. But Tharados chose one of the brats as his idea queen. She would in all respect then be given a place above Lyphos, no matter how much he may break her mind into being head over heals in love with Tharados, that thought would still linger. But Lyphos knew he couldn't say anything about that, no matter how much he hated the brat, he couldn't go against Tharados. If anything, this meant he was probably going to torture the younger of the two more. Which was a shame, because the one he really wanted to hear the screams of was the older girl. Lyphos closed out those thoughts he bowed his head and said, "I would be honored, sir."
I'LL BACK IT
When the fire was shot, Ria was expecting it to stay in the darkness, but they severely miscalculated. It hit them and they flew back a few feet. They got up off the ground slowly saying, "Fine, you wanna fight that badly, huh? We could have maybe talked this out, settled down and have a few drinks but no. Always keeping info to yourself." they reached out towards them as their hand glowed brightly, but it flicked and broke, as if it wasn't working properly, "This time I get to keep stuff from you. And I can knock your sorry teeth in for thinking less of me." the light suddenly stopped shining and it turned into a keyblade, but the keyblade looked wrong. It was broken, and looked like it'd barely function as anything. They pointed it towards them and said, "I'm more powerful than all of you, now. That's an advantage I'll take!" and the darkness dropped suddenly to the ground, and shadows began to appear out of them, there were at least a hundred of them, possibly more. But they were in ready position, they weren't going to strike until Ria commanded them to do so.
Sure, son.
֎ Name: April Baxter ֎ Age: 39 ֎Appearance: here ֎Rank: Lieutenant (On Leave) ֎Job: Navigator/Cartographer (Or I guess Astrometrics if you're Arch but -shrugs- ) ֎Weapon: N/A, usually just a standard phaser ֎Personality: Responsible, Skeptical, Paranoid ֎ Bio: April was kind of a goody two shoes for the most of her early life, following orders to a t in order to perfect her chosen job as navigator. When she hit an old enough age, she was a little less strict, and became even less so when she started dating and married a man named Ron. However, as she was pregnant with her first kid, her husband was killed in the line of duty. Since then, she's been a pretty big shut in. Even after she had the baby and was told she was able to come back to the line of duty, she was worried that at any moment something could go seriously wrong and that she'd die, or she'd lose her little boy. Ever since then she's been rather difficult to open up to people about it, and very rarely leaves the room. ֎Relations: Friends with Dania. Pleasantly annoyed by Jael. Very good friends with Garrett (they also had a thing when they were younger). Note: Her little baby is a boy, his name is Keith. At this point in the RP he is two months old.
Ria was going to open their mouth to reply but it went in so many different directions and finally they just said, "Ah, shut it, Cerdic. It's not that I don't remember your name, it's just you aren't relevant to my point. Keep on making yourself the center of attention though, I'm sure that'd go fabulously. Also." The hooded figure walked a bit closer to the group and said, "It seems you all have forgotten huh? Everything that happened. That's wonderful! It makes things so much easier for me." They walked over and placed a hand on Chloe's shoulder and asked, "How does it feel, having hollow heads? Cause it sounds like a luxury to me." they walked away from Chloe and began walking closer towards the cave and said, "After all, when my task is complete, you can use it as an alibi as to why all of you failed." They stopped and pointed to the ground and the darkness thickened as it circled around the group, "I don't want you guys running away from my little cage. But maybe I'll let some of you go if you do me a favor. Hey, your highness. Get your dog to talk. He knows something I need to know. What exactly does the extractor do?"
I guess you could say your vision was clouded. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Lyphos enjoyed her seeming naivete and reached out and took her hand and pulled her closer as he began walking, "I can find a way to make you fly one last time..." he used a tempting smile and his power and started walking, "Just come along with me, and I'm sure you'll get that joy of flying. Possibly more, if you're willing to open yourself up to new possibilities... but hm..." he let go of her hand and started walking away from her as he said, "I don't think you want it enough. I think you're too weak to be a fighter... maybe I should just hand you off to the next person." Lyphos continued walking away as he added, "Unless you wanna prove me wrong..." he wanted her to follow. Wanted her to basically beg for it. He didn't even say how he was going to get her to fly, he was still gonna hold up on his end. But he wanted her to literally beg for it, it would make it all the more fun later.
The person seemed silent for a moment, thinking over their question for a moment before simply saying, "Ria... well... hm... I think. I'm not actually fully sure. I'm gonna say Ria for now since that feels right." Ria seemed to turn sharply towards the left and said directly to themselves in a COMPLETELY different voice, "I mean, or you could tell them the truth..." Ria shook their head and said, "I am pretty sure that is the truth." "Liar." "I'm not lying. It's Ria. Anyway, you distracted me. You guys. Extractor. Extracted? Exploded?"
Yes, a baseball bat will do nicely.
The icy stare that Yue gave her as she mentioned rules made Kaida glare back. Now everyone was setting her off today. Why specifically her? She had been following most of the rules up to this point. If anything, she should have been looking at Hikaru. Kaida crossed her arms and listened to everyone else's resolve. Kaida didn't feel it, she'd failed this twice previously after all, and both times she thought she was going to do just fine and failed them. Kaida looked at everyone and she tightened her hand around the thicker part of her arm as she asked, "Yue... what happens if we fail?" that was all that was on her mind. She thought she'd already conquered her fear of failure back in the homeworld... but this was setting her off again. She looked up trying to hide her fear and asked, "If we don't pass, what happens to us?" she was starting to shake the slightest bit at the thought.
CUTSCENE START 3 days As soon as the ten were out of the cave, the entranced caved in. There was no way they were going to be able to get back into that cave unless they did some rock removal to do so. But it didn't necessarily matter what they needed back there. As they seemed to have something else going on just in front of them. They were presented with large cliffs at what seemed to be a shoreline. The water below looked rough and unfriendly. And if they even managed to get close to the edge, they would see it was a long fall down. The fog was starting to settle in closer just along the horizon, and the darkness still swished through the air. At the edge of a cliff just outside the cave there was a gray cloaked individual who was looking out at the beyond, almost as if undisturbed by all the shouting and the caving in of the cliff that was there. The cloaked person turned their head in their direction, stopped and then sighed. They looked out towards the ocean line, and spoke in a voice that was as close to androgynous as one could probably get, "Well, I guess you guys weren't dead after all. Maybe I should have made that cave fall in on itself sooner... wasn't my brightest move to wait." The cloaked person turned fully in their direction and said, "But I take it you at least finished up with that extractor, so I don't have too much to worry about." The cloaked person stood silent and looked at the group, "The... extractor? ...come on uh..." they looked among the group and pointed straight towards the one marked VII, "Alder, my man. You seem to be the best with this stuff, did you destroy it? You insisted on it after all, you gotta tell me you got something done."
Lyphos smirked the slightest bit at her reaction, he could already read her eyes and tell that the struggle was already happening. Lyphos almost felt bored with how quickly this was happening. He stood up and as he did, he allowed his face to show his boredom for but a second. Tharados was totally right. She was easy to break. Lyphos looked over at the guards around and knew that what he was doing was probably not best for the throne room, so he grabbed her arm and pulled her up. Not roughly, but enough strength for a wimp like her to be bothered by it. He then looked her in the eyes and smiled saying, "How about you follow me out of here, alright? I'm sure you don't wanna keep looking right there and remember. And maaaybe. Just maybe." he shifted by her other ear this time and whispered, "Maybe I can sneak you a little secret about... magic~" he used his power at those words too and looked at her and winked. Gross.
Lyphos wasn't particularly happy with the idea that he was getting the weak one purely because Tharados wasn't liking how weak she was. He could hear that shouting, but when Tharados worded it as a gift, he knew he couldn't reject it. He only replied with, "Yes sir." and he entered the room to see the fairy on the ground. She was an average looking one, maybe he'd give her a six if she wasn't covered in her own vomit. He walked on over rather slowly, slightly enjoying the fact she was already intimidated by his presence alone. But once he got to her, he crouched down to her level on the ground and reached out to grab her chin, tilting his head slightly and saying, "Hm... you'll do alright, I guess. You're probably gonna have more fun out of this than I will though." he moved his hand to cup her face, then quickly pulled one of his claws and sliced at her cheek. He waited just a second before pushing his power into her head, trying to intentionally get her to associate that pain with the smallest bit of pleasure and he smirked, "A part of you loves that... don't you? The little sting of pain from a slice like that." he shifted closer to her ear and whispered in a low tone just for her to hear, "You know, most people don't feel that way in a time like this, but maybe you haven't woken up that part of yourself yet... such a fragile little fairy. You gotta start off small in these things." he kept pushing that bit of his power more and said, "Though... your brother did just die... you probably shouldn't feel that way. It's just wrong." He wanted her to have that conflict in her head, and fiigured she was weak enough where this indeed was working. Reva was staring at the letter she had received, knowing full well at that moment her answer was no. But the words on it intrigued her enough to keep reading it. The idea of a resistance against this group of demons from five years ago seemed like an impossible feat to her. And why did they even want her anyway? She was sure there were other people with decent swordsmanship skills that were in far more accessible regions. She was in the mountains, in a village no one went after. At best, she could ward off thieves and go out for the hunt. She could even steer off the dragons, despite not wanting to, that tried to attack the village. But in terms of needing someone like her? She didn't get it. Reva closed the letter and remembered, speaking of the hunt, that she needed to go out there and get started. She stood up and put on the worn down armor that her people generally wore when fighting with the dragons years back. But she hadn't had it repaired in years. The blacksmiths left for more profitable areas, and those who were left were mainly just as depressed about the disconnect between the creatures they tamed. Reva knew they needed to eat though, so she grabbed her sword, which she sharped relatively regularly, and set off into the woods to hunt. She specifically was going after the bears. No one in the village had previously been connected with bears. They were a ***** to kill, but if she killed anyone's connected animal it would hurt them more. Reva on the other hand, couldn't care less if the dragons died. Her mentality wasn't whether or not the dragons should be kept alive. It was whether or not she could connect with them. Which she couldn't. But she needed food to live. And she wasn't ready to die today
A large rumble comes from above, as if something just hit the roof... or perhaps the top of the mountain. The ceiling is beginning to crack, and the darkness in the room begins to spin more violently.
Kaida looked over at Aislinn confused and the further she listened, she started getting annoyed and said, "Ya know. The only people who yelled at anyone are Beuce and Yue. And despite that, we seemed to clear that up pretty quick. I know you might have gone through your own stuff, but I don't like this act like heroes thing you've got going on. What exactly do you expect a hero to act like? Funnily enough, I don't pull off the stoic and boring twenty year old well, but good on you. Guess one of us has to hold the torch." she turned further to Aislinn and said, "Maybe, just maybe, we can still save the day and get angry sometimes? I'm all for trying the Mark of Mastery again in this Reaper's game thing too because I know that's what we need but don't tell me to get an attitude adjustment when it's a minor anger."
Kaida had wanted to explain to Glen how she had failed the Mark of Mastery twice prior, and while his comments made her feel better about it, she still didn't exactly have the confidence to carry her through. So instead of responding, since Yue started right afterwards anyhow, she decided to just listen to her explain it. The blonde caught the pin and looked over the skull and said softly to herself, "Interesting pin... though, a name like Reaper's Game sounds like it could go horribly wrong..." though, maybe this would give her the chance at finally passing the Mark of Mastery, after all this was put into practical use rather than just being in a stadium with an audience. She was a little worried about the whole 'dangerous and immoral' thing. Kaida glanced over and figured the others were gonna wanna look at the pin so she held it up easier for them to see it if they were curious.
Kaida stepped back upon those last words and said, "The... the mark of mastery?" Kaida looked very thrown off by that and crossed her arms and said, "I mean... are you sure? I know we've gone through a lot more after this but..." Kaida stopped herself from continuing and she looked away saying, "Is it the same structure as in Central Haven? I-I mean, I know it'd be kind of difficult to put it exactly like that but.... how would it... how would we...." she uncrossed her arms and asked pained, "Do you think we're ready to become masters?" Kaida certainly did not, especially after that whole thing with Aux. And she just got knocked out who knows how many times against Mizrabel. Even with the homeworlds and the keyblades back, Kaida felt like she was almost back at square one. And considering she took the Mark of Mastery two times previously, she didn't like her chances.
Kaida kind of froze up at Yue's words and felt a lot of anger based on the fact she felt like she was being talked down to again. But she knew, out of all the things right then, they didn't need her screaming. Kaida tightened her fist before straightening out and looking Yue directly in the eyes attempting to be as assertive as possible, but as soon as she opened her mouth, a wild Beuce appeared and completely threw off her momentum. He was not having this at all, and Kaida listened as her hands moved in front of her mouth, literally to keep herself from containing the smile on her face hearing someone yell at Yue. After Beuce was done, Kaida uncovered her mouth, clearly struggling to keep a straight face, and she placed a hand on Beuce's shoulder, "Wow Beuce, you've got more of a temper than me over this. Do you um, do you need to like... walk away and cool off?" She then looked at Yue and said, "Uh, did you...get all that. He basically described exactly what happened. If you want every last detail, it'd be quite a long time to explain it... I think it'd take like, 100 to 200 pages of words to detail everything, but bare bones... Beuce got it all."
