    Tried the Monster Hunter quests.

I'm done with this game if they won't balance anything for playing solo. Tigrex literally eats through my Rations just due to me being unable to move when it charges at me and covers my body.

I already know about that because a walkthrough for Chapter 5 spoiled it, but I haven't gotten to it because, frankly, these missions are boring me. There's barely anyone online anymore, and I'm tired of calling in 5+ ammo drops for every boss fight.

I might just do the Monster Hunter stuff to see if it's any different.

    Man, Peace Walker is weird.

I enjoyed the story alright, but the missions just weren't interesting to me, and the boss fights are enjoyable for like two minutes and end up as slogs because every boss is a bullet sponge since my weapons don't seem to do much damage.

I'm in Chapter 5 now, which seems to surmise of repeatedly tracking down the same person, and having to do more repetitive missions until I can do that again.

Can I just go on to Ground Zeroes now?

REX vs RAY is my dream-come-true.

Looking at one question for an hour.

(admittedly, kinda copying this thread, and was inspired by this conversation.)

Though I intend the discussion to be mainly about purchases of video games, I thought it'd be interesting to open it up to things like film, books, music, etc.

Does the physical or digital release of a piece of media hold more value to you, or are they about the same?

Personally, with how specifically the world of software has mostly migrated to a market focused on licenses to access provided content rather than having full access to that content via disks, I mainly buy my games digitally now, whether it be on the PC, PS3, or PS4, mainly due meaningful discounts being much more prominent for digital releases. There's little reason for me to want to pay more for a disc if I'm simply going to be installing that content on a hard drive anyway, and I could always print out my own cover art for the game (that is often far more impressive than the retail version's art) and get a blank game case for it if I feel so inclined to have a physical backup. Nintendo, however, has the only systems that I almost exclusively buy physical copies for, but mainly because their digital licenses side is pretty archaic compared to Sony, Microsoft, and PC counterparts.

I also no longer resell my games, mainly because I don't buy games I regret owning anymore, partly because it's hard to get any worthwhile money back, and partly because I enjoy having large collections.

With books, specifically college books, I'm kinda torn on the subject. I far prefer reading books digitally because of the image clarity of screens and being able to just scroll down a page (sounds very lazy, I admit) but I also like being able to resell a physical book once its served its purpose to me. However, many college courses have done away with this question by simply making the mandatory text exclusive to that course in a digital form. I don't buy many books for leisure admittedly. Text or comic, but I like having them physical if possible.

Music is something I feel weird about, because I almost always prefer to have a physical copy of albums I buy. In fact, the only album I recall buying digitally was the Bloodborne soundtrack, because it was a weird PS4 app thingy that let me download the music to a hard drive. For these, I like being able to just bring a few CD's on road trips and pop them in.

Movies are pretty much the same as music for me.

My classes started last Thursday, and today's the start of my Monday/Wednesday classes.

Hoping to avoid the anxiety that plagued me last semester.

The best thing I've learned from interacting with people in various groups is to not force things. You can't hold a good conversation about something you're not actually interested or knowledgeable in, so just acknowledge if it's not a subject you're good with, like "I don't know much about that" or "I don't really have interest in that, sorry." It might get awkward if you have to keep saying that stuff, but it's better to be honest about it. You won't jive well with everyone on everything.

Friends are people you can naturally flow with. Acquaintances and co-workers and such are ones you have to be more regulated with. People you meet will generally fall into one or the other category, and you have to be prepared for that. Not everyone will share your interest in, say, which presidential candidate has the best policies for the country or which Gundam series is trash.

Don't feel obligated to spend time with people you don't actually enjoy recreational stuff with. I've let go of some friendships because I look back and realized that I just wanted to get those periods of time over with. I was doing things I didn't care about.

Easy ice breakers of conversation are things like the news (you don't need to know everything that happened, just the gist of some major daily or weekly events), classwork (you are not the only one panicking, and it's important to know that), the weather (good entry point for discussing places of origin if you or your "opponent" are either from the surroundings or traveled there), entertainment news (be it movies, television, literature, music, video games, etc.), and fashion (like clothes or hair, if you care about either.)

If you come to a disagreement, be respectful and don't be evocative. Honestly, some of the interactions between you and me have hit me with the idea that you are like that (which is not new to me, I have a friend who's like that too), so you ought to tone it down a bit in person at least until you know the person better. But if they're the ones provoking you and they don't ease up over time, it might not be in your best interest to keep that relationship up.

    I just watched V/H/S Viral.

Such a stupid collection of bad movies. Only one segment was interesting, and even that wasn't enjoyable enough.
